Jul 11, 20101 - I have an early 2008 iMac 24" and ordered Snow Leopard disc from Apple
2 - After installation of Win7 64 bit and problems with boot camp 3.1 drivers support then tells me my computer will not run windows 7 64 bit and sends me a list of non-compatibles. Sure enough mine is one.
3 - Several respondents help me and it appears that 64 bit will run but still trouble with keyboard/mouse.4 - uninstall 64 bit and install 32 bit and related boot camp drivers5 - numeric keypad on apple keyboard still does not work with office 20106 - just tried to update drivers for win 32 but it says more current ones are installed??? I guess that is from the attempt to install 3.1 for win 64 unsuccessfully?7 - Now support lists computers that will not run windows 7 and mine is not on that list.
right now i'd be a happy camper if someone could just tell me how to get the Apple keyboard that came with my iMac and the numeric keypad working when in Windows or Office.

Oct 5, 2010Ok , Before when I had my custom built rig I never really noticed it, since I had proper cooling.
However my wife started complaining to her that her Acer laptop gets very hot in Windows 7 and sometimes shuts off. Now that I got bootcamp windows 7, I experience a great amount of heat from the part of the mac close to the screen. Why is this happening? IS there any way to solve the issue, I'm even afraid to start playing any games.

Go the BootCamp route and install XP or Windows 7, then re-install Office.
In other words: using same MBP, can I go from Fusion, Bootcamp, external drive setup without screwing up my activation of 1 computer only.

I've been having an issue running games in Windows for some time now. They run fine, but then sometimes it will freeze up, then my whole computer reboots. I don't really know why it does this, and it happens randomly. I could be playing for hours or minutes before it does this.

I got a new MBP 13" and so tried to install the partition from Winclone.. It says that it was restored successfully but when I start up my computer I get BSOD and my computer keeps restarting. (Think its due to hardware change?) I cannot even repair it with the windows 7 cd.

Apr 15, 2010A while ago I edited a video for a client. Everything went well until the project was actually, well... done. I edited in iMovie, converted the clip to MPEG-4 and burned it to DVD with free software called Burn. The disc played just fine for me on a couple different machines, but he could never get it to play in Windows Media Player. I told him to install codecs; still nothing.
So instead I burned the DVD again, this time in iDVD. So I'm guessing this time the video format was in MPEG-2. Again, the DVD played perfectly fine when I tested it on two different machines. The client tries to play the DVD in Windows Media Player. Still nothing...
I've told him to download VLC, but he's arguing the fact that this disc should work on pre-installed software on every PC (in this case, Windows Media Player). I do agree with him on that, but let's face it, Windows Media Player is not the best software to use. So my question: What is the best way to go about this? I've tried using Burn and iDVD with no luck (on his end).
Software :: Moving Files Between A Windows Computer And A Mac
Oct 28, 2008I am having trouble moving files between a windows computer and a mac. When I save a file on the USB from the [URL]. there is no problem, and when I extract it to my mac there is no problem. BUT when I delete the files from the USB stick, it looks like everything is okay (window of usb is clear, and therefore there should not be anything on it right?) But if I go to the settings for the USB to see if the entiry capacity of the USB is available again, then I find out that this is NOT so.
So basically my problem is that my USB tells me it is occupied, when in fact it is not, could it be something with the cooperation between pc and mac perhaps?
What do you think the reason for this is? and how could I fix it?
The problem is that I now have 3 different USB-sticks which are useless.

I know there is a way to transfer data from a windows laptop to a Mac, however, that computer is not working. Can I transfer the data from the external hardrive, which is everthing from my old computer, to my Mac without opening every file and manually transfering?Will Mac be able to identify what files are compatible?
