i have a usb flash stick (16gb) and when i plug it in to my macbook pro it mounts nadi can see the files. but when i plug it into a windows pc, i see it in "my computer" but i cannot click to open it. i have tried formatting the flash drive as a master boot record and as a GUID and it still gives me the same error for windows.
View 9 RepliesLast night I installed Windows Vista to run a game on here, but I got several issues. I already installed the drivers from the Snow Leopard DVD, but the problems still persist.
The issues are:
1. Sound is very very low and uneven. I have the volume all the way maxed, but the loudest it can go is less than half than the potential volume in Snow Leopard.
2. Headphones don't work. I've tried like 3 pairs of headphones and none of them work. When I plug them in, the sound still comes from the left speaker (I can barely hear the right speaker) on the laptop and not on the headphones. Also, the headphone jack is emitting a red light out of it.
3. The lights on the keyboard won't shut off. I used the F5 key to turn off the keyboard backlighting, and while it goes very dim they won't shut off.
I already tried the suggestions on this thread but none of those fixes work. I need help! Especially with the sound! Anything at all would be greatly appreciated.

I was trying to figure out how to get my Motorola S805 bluetooth headphones to work in Windows 7, and the difficult part was that Windows 7 doesn't include the necessary A2DP bluetooth profile in the stock bluetooth stack. You're supposed to get it from your bluetooth adapter vendor, which apple doesn't seem to include in the Bootcamp drivers.The solution was to install the Broadcom/Widcomm bluetooth driver version 6.3.0.3800. View 4 Replies View Relatedi just installed windows 7 on my mac last night over my vista partition, but now my avg firewall was disabled to i had to reinstall avg, got that fixed, but my next problem is vmware fusion. it just doesnt work, it boots into windows 7 but then i get the blue error screen saying something like windows has shutdown due to a blah blah blah...anyway i need this fixed right away, do u guys know how to fix it or know any alternatives besides parallels?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed bootcamp. I have a brand new macbook pro. a few months ago I tried the exact setup on my Dads. Everything worked great. I wanted to see how good I could game on it. Mic worked perfectly. I was impressed and bought my own. I can't get it to work.
Installed for sound is Cirrus Logic HD. If I hardware test mic it picks my voice up fine. Playback sounds like I have been slowed down and is a lot deeper. Not sure what to do. Please could someone give me some suggestions.
Well I install windows in bootcamp, everything was fine till I put in my Mac OSX disk in to install the drivers into windows. After the installing was done, it restarted and nothing works, the mouse and keyboard doesn't work its just stuck as soon as it turns on. I tried restore the partition and reinstalling windows but it still does the same thing.

Mic doesn't seem to work at all. On Skype or on Sound Recorder that comes with Windows XP. I have done a lot of searches on the net and tried a lot of advice offered including some from this forum - reinstall driver, tick boxes, until boxes, scale up, etc. Its a 2008 iMac with XP SP3 installed on Snow Leopard. the driver is from Realtek. I have an important meeting to do on skype while having to run Windows application.

I successfully installed Win7x64 on my 13" MBP. I got the drivers installed and everything updated. My USB mouse stopped working both in OSX and Win7. Anyone got any ideas? I researched online and I am running the latest bootcamp with the latest drivers. It's strange because prior to installing win7, my USB mouse was working fine on OSX. It's not the port. before you tell me to go use bootcamp (which i could because i do have access to an apple keyboard thats on my moms and dads comp) BUT i tried after my attempt failed with parallels, and it said it couldn't partition for some reason!?! I went to DU and repaired it and its smart verified ect and it said it was repaired but it still won't, it says i need to repair it.
When I started up my iMac the USB ports stopped working. It didn't respond at all. The weird thing is that they work at the startup when you choose between Windows/Mac OS X when holding in ALT. They also work in Windows, but not in OS X. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a mac pro, sick machine, love it, and want to play some older games, such as half life 2 as the mac port glitces and sucks for me.
So here's my endeavors with Boot camp. Ran the partition and inserted my windows disk.... a note on that. I did not have a xp with SP2 or better so I made one using a program and "slipstreamed" SP3 into it.
I then installed xp. Had a problem thou. When it wanted to start windows for the first time it rebooted and then never went anywhere but a blank screen. I rebooted it manually and it dumped me into windows just fine. No sound, and many other drivers missing. It did not ask me for my Leopard disk like many said it would. So I inserted it and it installed all the missing drivers for me.
However, the network connection did not work. everything else save my numpad seems to work. I have no idea where to start. I have done everything I do on my PC Laptop set up to run fine within windows and the router. I even installed Bootcamp 2.1 as a post said it might be a problem there. IT did say it must be installed prior to SP3 but thats not really possible with my system due to it (SP3) installed with windows prior to reading about the 2.1. I need to connect so I can download files I need to run the games I wish to with this thing, otherwise I wouln't bother.

The problem now is my headphone jack does not work. I have my MBP closed with externals plugged and only to have the internal speakers working.
I have a separate account just for Parallels. I also have a NTFS Boot Camp Partition. I have MacFUSE AND NTFS-3G installed. So when I try to create a Windows Virtual Machine it gets past the first loading screen (only after installing NTFS-3G) but can't get past the startup process.
It seems like MacFUSE is not working correctly, because before I installed NTFS-3G, I could not write to the NTFS Disc.
If you don't have an answer to that maybe you know of a way to change the format from NTFS to FAT32 (It's only a 15GB partition) without actually having to reformat (or erase).
I have iMac mid 2008 and I've been using it with Vista before for gaming a lot, but have just installed 7 instead and everything would be great if my microphone doesn't stop working Actually the system can see it but there is no record at all on any recording level. I never had any issue with XP or Vista, and on S-Leopard it still working, so my question is -Have anyone here experienced any problem like this and is there a way out? Parallels installed just fine, and apparently so did WPX4. However, when I launch WPX4 (either by opening the program or opening a document that then activates the program) I get an error message telling me that WPX4 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have uninstalled WPX4, but not Parallels. Before I attempt to reinstall WPX4 or monkey around with Parallels,
I think I've installed all the correct drivers.. However, while I'm seeing no errors in the event monitor in Windows 7, I also have no audio from the headphones OR internal speakers.

I then out in the OS Install disc that came with the Mini and installed all the drivers, then restarted. Everything seems to work except for WiFi. It sees all the networks in the area, but whenever I try to connect to one it says "getting information from (network name)" and then it says "Windows was unable to connect to the network. This is before it even asks for a key. I've tried different encryption types and even tried connecting to an open network and all of them have the same problem. i am able to connect to any network fine on Snow Leopard.

on MBA (latest model, 1 month old) I installed win7 with bootcamp. installation somehow weird but managed to partition 65GB for windows. Now computer only boots in windows mode. no chance for me to change in to MacOS world to access all my data on the MacOffice.... How can I 'go back' to at least switch between MacOS and Win7?
