Jun 24, 2007I just got a new MBP, and sometimes (only sometimes) when I try to use the webcam with MSN, all the other person sees is white, instead of the video feed.

Feb 9, 2009All of a sudden all of my pictures in iPhoto have a bit white! Instead of showing the picture. If I resize iPhoto you will see the actual picture flash a few times then it goes back to this.

OS X :: White Arrow Showing Up On Desktop / When I Hit The Shift Key
Dec 3, 2009Everytime I hit the shift key, a white, outlined arrow (with a drop shadow) shows up on the mid-upper right part of the desktop. If I hit shift twice, it stays there... if I hit capslock, nothing.
I looked in universal access, and nothing glared out... a google search didn't turn up anything (right away).can someone quickly clue me in as to what is causing this?

May 3, 2012My Mac Pro crashed yesterday after it was reading an empty DVD, and now if boot the Mac it shows this screen:I have tryed rebooting it in safe mode, does not work, I get the same screen. Tryed to use a other monitor, same problem. Now, If I press the Eject button, the disc tray will eject and if I press the volume button it can be heard.

Jan 21, 2009I have a Powerbook G4 with me and it doesn't boot up. I am suspecting it is hard disk/ software error that is stopping it from booting up. Here is what I see when I try to power it up: White screen, Apple logo with the round circle with rainbow color. Do you guys think that is is a software error that is stopping it from booting up? The last thing I did was to install Windows Messenger for Mac! I am thinking of trying to do a re-install using the disc that comes with my Powerbook purchase but I am at a lost of what to do. Can anyone please share with me the steps that I need to take? I've got a 'new' hard disk already, please advise on how can I rebuild my Powerbook!

May 2, 2010So as you can see, my new iMac has 1 dead pixel. How many does Apple require before you get it serviced? I don't have an Apple Store here, so I would have to pack it up, and it is somewhere where I would hardly notice it under most circumstances. I know it is only 1, literally 1 pixel that doesn't complete show white correctly, but all other colors.

May 10, 2009I have had this macbook pro now for about 3-4 months and last week it started showing weird yellow/white stripes on places where it should be completely white. It comes and goes from time to time and it seems to be effected by the hardware itself, since when I move my screen it comes and goes. But when I make a screenshot of an opened window, like iCal, with lots of white space, it does not show the yellow-like stripes. I tried adjusting the contrast at universal access but it didn't work.

Jun 7, 2012I have a 13" macbook pro, i was using it one night and was runnung ok until i come back to it the next morning.I opened the lid but the backlight didnt come on but could just see the screen so i re-started it by holding down the power button and then thats where it never worked again for me. I have followed some of the tips from some forums but i have no luck.i used another hdd for my mac to use on as its bigger GB than the original,ive been using that for 5 months with no problems, now my mac wont show any of the hdd's even the orginal one that wasnt formatted. Ive managed to format the original one but its not showing that one niether.the second hdd ive left with the snow lepard on it. Now with the other mac ive plugged them both in externally and shows up on desktop but still no luck on the mac thats down. Ive even tried with the installation cd that shows up on startup management but nothing eles.

Jun 12, 2010When I go to front row, all my video content plays sound, but the picture is just a pure white screen (shows the slider to move chapters, etc., but the screen is just white).
Any ideas for solutions? I did google searches, etc., to no avail. I have a MP (not early 08), which I upgraded the graphics card to a 2600XT, and it's running Leopard.

They have exactly the same IMAP settings other than username and password.My email messages for the account that doesn't work, shows up fine on my iPhone/iOS and gmail.com.None of the messages in the inbox or folders/labels show up. The count is zero. However they all show up fine in folders in iOS and on gmail.com.There is an indicator for one new message in the inbox, but none show.

IMac :: White Screen At Restart / White Screen With 3 Loud Beeps
Jun 1, 2009So my 20" 2.4 Imac crashed on me twice tonight. A box popped up telling me to hold down the restart button for several seconds to restat. The second time I did this it just sits with a white screen and give three loud beeps over and over. Is there a fix for this? Is it my ram? I'm at a loss.

Hardware :: Looking For A Webcam/mic ?
Dec 31, 2010I have a Mac Pro and am looking for a Webcam/Mic. There are many on the market so I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get. I know some are HD and I'd be glad to get an HD webcam but that is not necessary. I have several questions:
-I have looked at mainly Logitech Webcams but are there other brands I should look at?
-I want one that will mount to the top of the monitor
-I use the Mac side mainly and would like to use it with Photobooth, iChat, and Facetime and possibly Skype in the future. There are times that I use Windows XP or Windows 7 through VMWare so I would like a webcam that has drivers for both Mac OS 10.6 and Windows XP/7
-The other feature I would like is one that has a built in mic. There are times I will only use the mic and not the video. Is it possible to get a webcam that works also in mic/sound mode only?
