I am about to launch my website but am having trouble with my google font. For some reason when I scroll up and down or move the mouse over a word, the font gets light and pixel-y. Can anyone tell me what to do to fix this? It doesn't happen in older versions of Safari or in Firefox.

In a Google text doc, there is a problem with line spacing such that all the lines in the doc are stacked up on the first line making it unreadable and unusable. I've had this problem with the last few releases of Safari but the problem has just become worse.
If I click anywhere in the body of the doc I get: Google Docs error
This error has been reported to Google and we'll look into it as soon as possible.
Please try one of these interim solutions:Reload this page.Download the document by right-clicking on it in the main document list and selecting "Export." I'm running Safari in 64-bit so that's not the problem and switching back to 32-bit doesn't fix it.
I can view the original format of the doc with proper line spacing by selecing File > See original, but can't edit the doc at all.

macbook pro. running osx lion 10.7.3. google related sites are completely down, but when restarted into guest mode and launched through Safari it works just fine. Also broken in my apple mail account that is linked to Gmail. What gives? All other sites i've tested seem fine and i've tried multiple browsers. Pinging google doesn't send anything back. I'm at a loss. works ok through web proxy.

Whenever I switch to the "Earth View" in google maps in safari 5.1.4, a message displays which says the plugin has quit and there was a problem loading the plugin.
I tried removing the plugin several times and reinstalling but nothing has worked so far.

Previously the solution was to install Safari plugins Inquisitor or Glims but Apple have removed the interfaces from Safari 4 that these plugins used - and there is still no built in Safari Preference to set the locale of the Google search. Effectively this renders the Safari Google Search field pretty well useless - at least for UK users. If you're searching for UK-based businesses or individuals, for example, the thousands of USA results that come up first are just not relevant - (that's an example of British Understatement. by the way
View 3 Replies View RelatedI get this ad every time I load the page. I figured it was a cookie problem so I searched my cookies for 'Google' and deleted all the results. I'm still getting it. It's not happening in Firefox, only Safari. It's been there since Friday or Saturday. Am I the only one?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Google Chrome 8.0.552.215 on my Mac (running OSX 10.6.5). I can't get Chrome sync working properly. I had everything setup and working properly this morning between my iMac and my Mac Pro, but then I noticed that my bookmarks didn't import properly from Firefox (I'd imported my bookmarks from Firefox into Chrome on my Mac Pro just prior to initially setting up Chrome Sync).
I decided to delete all of the bookmarks from Chrome on my Mac Pro, then immediately reimport them a second time (making sure to fix the issue that caused my initial problem this second time around). For some strange reason, this has somehow completely screwed up Chrome sync, which doesn't sync anything anymore (bookmarks, extensions, etc...) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, but still no luck!
I've logged into my Google Dashboard and deleted all of the Chrome Sync Data, waited a good half hour, then tried setting up Chrome sync again... Google Dashboard does show that data is being synced from this first machine, but then when I set it up on the second computer (with a completely clean install of Chrome), the data never makes it there! I am at a complete loss here. I've even tried using an alternate Google Account, but that didn't work either!
I've set up contact sync with google and apple's address book app, but i can't get any contacts over to my address book...
View 1 Replies View RelatedTo start my computer is a early 2008 Penryn MBP with the 2.4 C2D and a 256mb 8600M. Today I was trying to show something on google earth, but once the app started, I could not control the map, it would just freeze. Once I was able to zoom in, but it would not do anything, it would zoom in on pixelated junk. I tried reinstalling it, but no dice. I thought there may be something wrong with how the data is streaming, but it works fine on my hackintosh and my iphone. This got me thinking about the well-known faulty 8600m.
I have, on rare occasions, had some screwy issues with my display, like some pixelation and difficulty getting the display to work after sleeping, but these have been few and far between. I was curious if all this could be related to the GPU, and if there is anything I can do to test before going to the apple store and complaining how my google earth won't work (I am still covered under applecare). I don't game, so I have nothing of that sort to try out on it. I did download and run cinebench, and it gave me an open GL score of ~9.4fps.
My Safari suddenly has no url bar or google bar? I downloaded latest updates and everything..

After three easy erase, install, time machine backups everything is working great. I am amazing at how quick and easy it was to do this for my family's computers.
The only trouble I am having is getting google search results in Safari to open in another tab, instead of the same window, or a new window. Anyone else see this, or have a way to make this work? I like to click on a google link, and have it open in a new tab.
My google suddenly looks different in Safari -- new layout, location awareness, etc. I really like this, but can't get this in other browsers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed Safari 5 a few days ago (the standalone update before 10.6.4 was released), and I noticed in Safari 5, the Google logo hasn't changed (it did last month). I don't get the new left sidebar either in the search results. I installed Safari 5 today on another Mac, and this is working. I already reinstalled Safari to no avail. So how can I get this to work? Below, on the left, is what I see in Firefox. On the right is what I see in Safari.

One of the things I like about using Firefox is the ability to select a word and search for it in Google. In Firefox this opens a new tab but with Safari it uses the current tab which messes with the flow of my work. Are their any tweaks to making Safari open a new tab when using the search in google feature or am I stuck with using Firefox until Apple addresses this?

WHat I need to find out is there a way of setting up the search for UK searches.
For instance if I actually use google.co.uk you get the option of - pages from the UK.
But instead of going to to the google.co.uk page all the time is there a way in Safari so that the Google search engine will only show - pages from the UK
The Google in my Safari is set to the US version which is really starting to annoy me as I keep ending up on the US eBay site and so on, which is annoying because I live in the UK
Does anybody know of a way that you can change this?
all of a sudden I can not get onto google. I have tried it in both firefox and safari and cleared all the data. I also have restarted. Each time I try to go to it it comes up a page saying connection interrupted. Do you think something is stopping it from going there?

It used to be when I highlighted a word and right clicked the word, I could do a google search on it.
Now when I press google search it downloads something vs going to google on the browser.
What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to find anything in safari to change that.
I noticed this after upgrading to SL and is safari 4.0.4

I'm unable to remove the results pane to the left - This started happening a few days ago.... Weird thing is, the pane doesn't show up in Firefox when searching via Google, and it doesn't show up when using Safari on my brothers iMac.
just noticed Safari 5 is out, updates better then google chrome? or is google chrome still overall a better browser?
