When I publish my site, its centered in the middle, How do I make the page to stretch to whatever resolution people are using for their browser or screen resolution. Weather I'm viewing 800x600 or another resolution so theres no black bars on the side of the site.

is there anyway to make an iWeb page auto start playing an audio file as soon as the page is loaded? Maybe im just really missing something obvious, but whenever I publish the site, it never auto plays, i have to click play.

When I load the page with text edit, I get some crazy Apple page, so I don't seem to be able to edit the HTML directly. Honestly, I hope to find solutions to problems like these so that I can avoid HTML in the future.

I have tried using HTML but does not work. I'm new at iWeb. I have 6 navigational pages. 2 of the 6 pages will have sub pages with those sub pages also having sub pages. How do I link each sub page without creating more navigational pages on the homepage? I don't want 12 navigational pages on homepage.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't want just anyone to have immediate access to my gallery via my iWeb site. Ideally I'd like my entire Mobile Me gallery to be password protected. I had a look at password protecting individual albums but that's just a horrible implementation, each album just comes up as a grey thumbnail in the albums view even if you enter login details. I thought an alternative (although far less secure) would be to have the link to the mobile me gallery on a password protected iWeb page as part of my iWeb site but I can't find any options to let me password protect just one page.
Am I right in assuming that Web Gallery only supports password protecting of individual items whereas Apple have gone the opposite route with iWeb where you can only password protect your entire site? If that's the case then it seems like they're really trying to make things hard for us!
I have a page "Welcome" next to other pages ("About Me"...).
Since yesterday when I open iWeb and click on the "Welcome" name to select the page (to modify or just look at it), iWeb immediatelly quits. The same happens when I follow a link to "Welcome" from another page.
I can access all other pages with no problems.
I tried deleting iWeb's preferences file, restoring an older copy of my domain.site2 file, overwriting iWeb with another copy of iWeb (same version), nothing changed.
This concerns iWeb 3.0 (build 301) on Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Darwin 10.2).
I'm having some problems publishing a site I've created in iWeb 08.
When I publish the page I notice that the colour of the page doesn't take up the whole visible area in the web browser (it appears to be "pillar boxed" with a white bar on the right and left of the screen). Is there any way to apply the page colour to this area?

never mind I found that it works if I manually edit the HTML file on my iDisk
this has been driving me crazy, I've looked everywhere and the "best" answer I found was resize the window in iWeb and re-make my site. I'm not that experienced in making websites and I don't have the time to do it again (I did an spanish and english version already and made them look pretty good at least for me)
On my mac it looks great, on windows not so much and it takes it a lot to load. But on iPhone or BB it suuux so I wanted to make a mobile version of it but I haven't found a software that can transform it.
I have an iWeb website which comes up on the first page of google if the correct (and most likely) things are searched for. But at the moment it displays on Google in an odd way - the main result is a random PDF I have on my site and then, under that as a sub-result, is the title "Home" (my home page) and the snippet of text it displays is the menu on my homepage. How can I make the main title of the result say something like "SS957916's Fantastic Website - Photos, videos and more" with the text snippet being body text from my site rather than the menu?!

this is the expectation: to find an app that can
-create a preview of each video (qt, mov, m4v, wmv, avi, rm, etc)
-create few frames that shows the content of the video
-export the list of movies as web page, with the title of the video and the snapshot for each of them
Do you know if there is any way to achieve this result, without making manually everything?
I've found a software on pc, taht i can use with parallels, but it takes just 1 shot of the video, and not multiple, with the result that is hard to get what is in the video, especially when the video is 10-15 min long, and the name doesn't help to recall what was happening in that video
I created a table with three columns and lots of info in the first column. I need it to continue to page 2, but it won't. Instead, all of the info that should continue to page 2 simply disappears. How do I make the table extend to page 2?

I LOVE IWEB, but noted this morning on one of my sites I have up ONLY on one page one of the navigation links is not working. I went back into Mac and took the page and marked it NOT to be linked saved and went back and reinstated it in the link navigation bar, resaved it, republished it, ftp'd it up and cleared recent history... and still no luck.
artistsoftexas.org on the ARTIST page, I cannot get the link to actively work to Galleries/workshops. Works on all other pages.
I am trying to move material created in earlier iWeb (08?) to an FTP server. It is now saved as a web archive. I also have been on mobileme. I am on snow leopard and am not quite ready for lion. I can't seem to find an iweb page in the web archive. To follow the instructions from my new web host I need to have the iweb page that lsts the site name. How can I find this from the web archive? Otherwise I seem to find the content of my iweb-created blog when I open the web archive (in Safari).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?

My old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 21.5" iMac and when i open Safari the actual webpage only fills the middle third of the screen. I have expanded the application itself from corner to corner but the contents of whatever page i am on is not. I know about the zoom feature but it seems that when you do it, the words and images become pixelated. Is there a way or a setting that i havent found yet that can be adjustedto have it automatically strech the whole screen? When i any other application like email, it fills the whole screen.

My personal domain is [URL]- it was bought through Easily [URL] and is still managed by them. I transferred the hosting to MobileMe, however, by creating the relevant CNAME entry, so in my DNS management area for this domain over at Easily the entries look as follows [URL] There are two name servers set up : [URL] The personal domain is set up in MobileMe fine, and I can create sites in iWeb and upload them with no issues. My second domain is [URL] which I bought through Easily, and which is simply set to use framed web forwarding to redirect to [URL] - that's one of the sites that I've created in iWeb and is hosted by MobileMe. When I visit [URL]I get no issues whatsoever - the masked forwarding works fine, so the address bar always reads [URL] no matter which page I'm on. However I've been told by a couple of people that they don't get transferred to it - instead they get not a MobileMe error page, but an Easily error page. it's as though the web forwarding works for some visitors but not for others, but I'm not sure why. Anyone got any thoughts? Is it happening for anyone else?

I've created a site with a theme in iWeb 08 that has been removed from iWeb 09. I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI wrote an email to the tech people on my domain service provider, Network Solutions, because I've yet to see my website load properly. I was directed to use web forwarding, and I set that up over the weekend. However, though I am hosted through MobileMe, my personal domain link takes me to a blank page. There had been an under construction page. if I am using web forwarding, should I remove the personal domain from my Mobile Me preferences? Could that be the reason it won't work?
