View 1 Replies View Relatedi was searching for a programm that allowes you to hide a folder so that it is still clickable... all i found where lots of programms that made the folder invisible but after they where invisible i couldnt click on them anymore.
is it possible to make a folder invisible and place it at some spot on the screen i remember and when i click on that spot on the screen where the invisible folder is that the folder would open?
In windoze I can type, for example person@server.com?subject=Fish&body=Cod and when I send the email with that in, the person I send it to can just click the link and it will: create a new email put the person it goes to in the 'to' field put the subject in the subject field put the word 'cod' into the body However, when I do this in snow leopard, I just get an unclickable line of stuff, much as you have probably viewed above. Also, when someone sends me an email with a similar link, it's also not clickable and I have to laboriously create a new email with all the fields remembered and filled and gone back to and well you get the picture. How do I make it clickable? It's not the same as a clickable URL, I've discovered, so that didn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWell this a new one. Any time there's an element in the bottom 100 pixels or so of my screen, I can't click on it. It's in any application. I first noticed it in Safari, but I've tested it in Finder, Photoshop, you name it. In Safari it's mostly solvable because I can just scroll the page up further and click on the link.If it's a link I'm trying to click and it has a hover property, the link will change color (or underline, or whatever) on hover. I just can't click on anything.Another interesting thing to note is that it's things that are in their own windows, I guess. The dock works and my Adium buddy list is fine as well (I keep it in the bottom left corner).
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Mac has a virus or has been hacked and it says I have no airport card so I can't get on the internet at all, it won't let me even turn on the airport. Also I thought it would be good to do a factory reset but it's also making that not possible by making the buttons under the erase file not clickable.

Anyone have a preference on html editors?
I've used Dreamweaver and it's over kill.
I need something to similar functionality to Frontpage, etc.
When making a website, say from scratch, I'm looking for a HTML editor.
For ex. when working with IE and you right-click > view source and the notepad pops up.
I'm looking for something along those lines for a Mac, that way I can get some practice in etc etc.
What program would you recommend?
I need some helping doing some (hopefully) simple HTML editing on my customized Google homepage. Basically, what I'm looking to do is shorten the width of the search bar as shown in the attached screenshot. As far as right-clicking "Inspect Element" on the search bar itself, I'm totally lost as to what to put in the editing window that appears and where/how to do it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm switching from Thunderbird to Mail.app. How do I disable HTML email?
According to Apple, it can be done by following these directions, however the option it mentions ("Display images and embedded objects in HTML messages") is not available. The only thing I see is "Display remote images in HTML messages," which I have unchecked, but HTML email is still coming through just without the images.
Using Apple Mail, is there any way to compose mail in HTML, where the font used to compose won't be overwritten by the default plain text font in the recipient's inbox?
Basically, I want the emails I send to look exactly like they do when they're on my screen, not reformatted to a plain text.
are there any apps that can convert a directory of html files to a PDF file?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm use to using Microsoft Frontpage to edit my website templates that use .html/.php, but now I use my iMac more than a PC and was wondering what is a great application that allows you to preview your changes before having to upload it to the server. View 1 Replies View Relatedanyone here know how to make an HTML redirect in iWeb
never mind I found that it works if I manually edit the HTML file on my iDisk
Hopefully there will be a solution for this, as everything else I've posted since I took the plunge and bought a mac about 9 months ago has worked out great.
I use entourage for email, and want to include a LinkedIn image in my auto-signature, and have that hyperlink to my public linkedin profile (linkedin provides the html for this). However, I can't seem to get that to work...just like I can't get the link to my website to hyperlink.
I know there's a way, but I can't for the life of me see how to only show html files (or any other file type) when I want to open a file in Coda. (I don't want to wade through the thousands of image files that reside in the same folder) I've searched here and elsewhere, but no luck. Anyone know how to do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedTo all those of you out there that have a custom tab on your Facebook Fan Page ... I was wondering if there was a way to use the HTML exported from iWeb '09 (into a local folder) for a FaceBook Fan Page custom tab (using "static FBML" application)? I don't really want to purchase Dreamweaver if I don't have.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a group of students who want to use iWeb to create a website to show off some of their art work for university interviews. They have been creating the site and saving it before logging off a machine. They have been wanting to do more work on their websites, but have found no sign of the pages they created when they log into a machine and load up iWeb. Initially I thought it was because they were logging in on a machine different to the one that they had started creating the site on, so I got them to log onto the original machine, but still nothing. I then got them to export the files to HTML and then to re-open them in iWeb, but it won't let you do that. Any suggestions on how I may solve this problem? The students have network accounts, rather than stand-alone machines that they work on, so I know it's something to do with that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have worked hard at creating my businesses webpage with iWeb and now and have a hard time getting it recognized by Google and other search engines. I have an immediate problem and a secondary. First. I am working with Google Webmaster Central and they are trying to verify that I am the owner of the site. I have two options--insert a meta tag on my homepage or upload an HTML file.
After working through the Help menu, I was able to figure out how to add HTML snippets from the media bar. However, when I update the website, and go to the link they ask me to go for, it is not recognized as having it on the page. I think the problem is this: I am putting it on the page, but the directions from google have a very specific area that they want it in the code. So, is there any way of seeing the code so that I can literally copy and paste it in there? I can't seem to figure it out. Second: I want to add meta tags to increase organic search results but have no clue how to with iWeb. How do I add a meta tag? Here is my website: www.newfangledeats.com

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a html text editor that color codes html tags. I am used to using cuteHTML on Windows which works EXCELLENT! I would assume there is something like this on OSx? I dont want anything to "build" webpages for me like Dreamweaver. For doing html by hand (and copy/paste) the colors really help your eyes work on a complex page easier than just using textedit for example.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've just "upgraded" from iWeb '08 and published some changes to my home page, but now none of my html snippets show up? The only page I've uploaded to the server is the "welcome" page, but now none of the html snippets are showing on that page. I can see the html snippet when I "visit the published site" via the hard drive, but not on the web. Does iWeb '09 put the html snippets somewhere new? If so, where? Should I upload my entire site again now that '09 has updated all of my files? (I'm afraid my entire site will be rendered unusable if all the snippets are erased).
