AquaISO does single files beautifully and has never failed, but I have several hundred files that need to be converted the same way

May 17, 2009I currently use fairmount to strip off the encrypto,but after that it takes FOR EVER to have it spin up the dvd all the way it needs to in order to rip the dvd.I am using either dvd2onex or mac the ripper, but since fairmount is taking so long when i start to rip the video _ts folder to the hrddrive, it causes my movies to stutter, and even bounce around when i go to make a handbrake backup!what other apps will allow you to rip the video_ts folders from your own dvd's?

May 31, 2009I want to backup a few of my rare DVDs that I have. I used RipIt to rip the DVD and now I have a folder with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS in it. What freeware can I use to burn these to a DVDR so that it plays in any DVD player? I tried DVDRemaster too and I'm having the same issue. The file size is small enough to fit on a single layer DVDR.

I've been trying to burn on to dual layer disk i.e 8.5 GB.Video_TS foldeer is 7 GBIf I chose the DATA TAB tell Burn to create a "DVD-video disk" I get a disk that my computer can play in the DVD App that functions like a DVD, BUT my stand alone DVD player won't recognise it. (tells me its a DATA disk).

OS X :: Copying VIDEO_TS File From A DVD
Mar 23, 2010I typically use handbrake to rip my DVDs, but as far as I know, I can only create AVI's and MKV's from Handbrake (correct me if I'm wrong). I also really like having the VIDEO_TS file intact on my computer, so that I can still access the DVD's menus, special features, etc. Sometimes I am able to just copy the VIDEO_TS file directly off the DVD to my desktop, but sometimes it says that I "do not have the permissions" to do so.... or something along those lines. I understand that most DVDs are protected so you can't just copy them, but it seems that my computer allows me to copy the VIDEO_TS sometimes and not others. And this is with the SAME DVD.

I have managed to burn the .avi straight onto the DVD, but this means that I cannot view it in DVDPlayer.app because it needs a VIDEO_TS folder. Nov 27, 2008I have been trying to backup a few .avi files I have onto DVDs and after reading over the forums I have aquired ffmpegx and Toast 8. I place the avi file into ffmpex, encode it with the dvdffmpeg format. But once i burn it with toast, it takes the original wide screen avi file and stretches it to full screen.
I tried re-encoding with the DVD 16:9 setting selected with ffmpeg and it seems to look better in a preview, but when I try and burn the Video_TS folder in Toast it gives me the CSS Encryption disk error, which I do not understand because I'm not copying a copyrighted dvd.

May 30, 2008Since the MBA has no internal DVD drive, I would like to pre load some DVD's on the MBA hard drive before I go on the road. I was thinking of using mac the ripper to rip my personal DVD. Is there a way in Front Row to import video_ts files without using an optical disk? As far as memory serves this wasn't possible with Tiger.If this is impossible what is an other way to store DVD's on my hard drive and watch them in front row?

I need this program because it allows me to use my foot pedal. Using a foot pedal increases my speed. Increased speed means increased salary. Here's the problem: I have a rush file due tomorrow. It came to me in an .wmv format. I cannot ask for it to be converted. This file automatically downloads into quicktime. I have to convert this file to an mp3 so I can open it with my ExpressScribe. I tried using "switch" (offered by the same company that brought me ExpressScribe), however because the file downloads automatically into quicktime I don't know what to do. I need to find a way to save this to my desktop as an mp3 or open it in itunes.
