I cannot find the "Invert" picture color command in the new Powerpoint 2011. It used to be in the picture format section of the now gone "Formatting Palette" of Powerpoint 2008. Does anyone know if the command still exists and if so where is it?

I know in Powerpoint 2011, I can simply click on the image and there will be several image effect selections on the ribbon. I couldn't find the same feature on Keynote 09.
I recently downloaded and installed Office 2011 and I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to change the background color from grey to anything you want. In 2008, there was a file in the Contents-->Resources folder called "Page Layout View Background Rest" that you could replace with any image and the background would change (by 'background', I mean the actual grey color on each side of the word document, not the background of the document itself).
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust got the new office 2011 which I use every day for university, primarily the powerpoint program for presentations and note-taking. Today I noticed that my battery drained more quickly than usually and found out that I use the nvidia 330M when powerpoint is open. Just did some research and neither word or excel makes the MBP use the 330M. Only powerpoint. Is there any way to force the intel gfx on all the time? Or at least when running on battery?

Specs: I have an IMAC G5 Power PC. The display is 20 inches and the processor speed is 2.0Ghz. I have 512 megs of RAM and 250 Gigs of hard drive space. I purchased the computer in the summer of 2005 and until now, it has worked like a gem.
Problem: My display does not show any picture or color. My wife told me she saw infared-like colors while using the computer and then it went completely black. I booted the computer in transfer mode and used my lap top to transfer all the files off the computer.
I then followed the troubleshooting procedures on the webpage [URL]. All the LED lights come on and I do not see any dim light when I examine my computer at an angle.
After the screen went blank, I purchased the VGA adapter cable and plugged in an external monitor to the computer, but I didn't get any picture on the external monitor, probably because the adapter mirrors what is on my screen. I had hoped I could completely transfer the picture to the external monitor, like you can do with a laptop, but I couldn't figure out how to do this.
Questions: What is wrong with my computer? Is is possible for me to use an external monitor even when the computer display doesn't display any picture? If so, how can I do this?
I bought my mac back in Feb. and I received a free printer along with it. The Epson all in one Stylus piece of ****. Well I shook the individual ink catridges well and installed them all. Since then I haven't been able to get a clear sheet of paper. All the colours look faded but the actual picture is not distorted. It's just the contrast of the colour thats gone. now is there a way I can alter the amount of ink my printer is using? I have tried aimlessly, looking for an option but I cannot find any.

So I make a presentation on Mac Office powerpoint, everything is fine. I open it up at university on the PC, all is fine. I maybe change some text on a slide and save it again. Open the same file again on my Mac, and it won't open some silly error comes up saying trouble accessing file from mac HD.
Then luckily I have keynote, so I just open it in that and use that.
Point is why does this happen?? Whilst keynote is better, sometimes I have to edit things on a PC at work or uni and then it becomes a giant mess on my mac.
Is there a quick fix, or will I have to throw Mac Office into my growing pile of Microsoft related garbage.

The device should still work, but I can't find any software for it for the Mac. After going to the X-Rite web site, I could find no software at all for the Mac as it is only windows based.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI checked Universal Access and the Zoom and VoiceOver features have shortcuts written next to themin bold black writing where as the shortcut next to Inverted Colours is greyed out. I have been using it for a year now and this is the first time it has greyed out and not letting me change the colours using the shortcut.I can still change it using the radio buttons in Universal Access but shortcut was much easier. I am using Snow Leapord on a 15.4 inch early 2011 model of Macbook Pro. I dont know if this has any relevance but the last time it worked was just before I updated the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

There is a lot of "free" unused space. The slides would look better if I could use this free space. If I were on a Windows machine, there is a utility called pdf995 that will take advantage of this "free" space.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have this weird problem.I can not open Excel and Powerpoint at the same time. I have to quit PP in order to open Excel or it won't open. Also Excel needs to be off or PP will crash when opened. Word seems to be working fine. I have reinstalled Office 2008 now twice with no help. I have also updated to the lates 12.1.5 version and no help. I also tried to repair permissions and deleted the .plist files but that did nothing.

If we get to discussing any one slide too long, my Mac goes to sleep. All the PC guys say, "Hit F7" but this does not bring back the Mac, so I restart PowerPoint, and then the projector does not recognize the presentation or various other mishaps and gremlins appear. The Help files with PowerPoint have not been helpful to my searches, nor have the PC guys because they don't have a clue about Macs. But Keynote does not have SmartArt Graphics which in my opinion reduce great amount of time when creating a slide show.
How do you cope with lack of SmartArt Graphics?
And what are your reasons for using Keynote not the Powerpoint?
I have a video of a seminar presentation that I would like to add the powerpoint slides to so they are more easily seen.

The problem is that I need to embed these videos into powerpoint (2008 for mac). The videos that work with quicktime will work in powerpoint, but the others won't. I've heard that windows users can install a VideoLan-VLC plugin to play videos in powerpoint, but I can't figure out how to do this on a mac.
