iTunes 9.1 won't install on my MBP (CoreDuo 2.0). Software update says I have the latest software, so I downloaded it from Apple's website. After it downloads I open up the installer and it goes through the process, and it says it was successful, but then I open up iTunes again and it's still ver. 9.0.3. I've done it twice now, and restarted and ran disk utility.

Ever since I downloaded iplayer - my mac has been running slow. I have followed a few tips to remove it and all other related files - but it still runs low (spinning wheel of death) and now pdf's dont download correctly (I guess I have deleted too much).
My ideal would be to start from scrach - although I want to keep my itunes and iphotos files as well as my documents. Is there a way to reload back to factory settings then add selected programs and folders from timemachine? I am in the process of timemachine backing up everything now.

after updating itunes to latest version itunes simply will not open so i've un-installed it all then went to re-install it and now it wont even do that it will either come up with an error saying quicktime is out of date please re-install (which i proceed to do and get the joy of itunes not wanting to load again) or an error saying 'bonjour service' needs my permission or something to be stopped so i can continue.i really have no idea how to do this because i can't find bonjour anywhere on my pc.

I had been using iLife '09 off a copy that my mother got with with her 2009 polycarbonate macbook. After the crash I upgraded to 10.6 and attempted to install iLife '09 again. It told me thus: 'Alert: this software cannot be installed on this computer'. And that's it. I can't access any of my pictures in iPhoto or upload any(3 wedding albums :3), and I can't access any of my old Garage Band files, simply because they were created on '09 and since the reboot I'm stuck with '08. Major bummer. Bottom Line: is there any way to get iLife '09 on my computer without wasting $100 just to access files?

I downloaded the update for iTunes but I can't load it because it tells me to close the iTunes program. The only thing I tried to do was the install. I din't have iTunes open, but when I try to install it opens it. Also won't respond to trying to find out which version i have ot any other info . I had to close it buy using the atctivity monitor and forcing it closed. I just upgraded to lion the other day and have been trying to get this set up to work with the cloud which it did.

I also tried to download limewire and it loads up to 6% then it just sits there. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone give me some tips I cannot figure this out.

I have everything backed up to TimeMachine, but I just wanted to check that my entire iTunes library will be able to be recovered back into iTunes from TimeMachine after I complete the clean install of Snow Leopard. Also, is a time machine backup enough or should I be paranoid and back up everything to another external disk?
