Applications :: What Is A Good FLV To M4V Converter?
Apr 29, 2010
Been looking for a good FLV to M4A video converter for the Mac. Only one that I can find that people seem to love is Wondershare Video Converter... but it is $40. Anyone know of a free one out there that can get the job done?
i have a bunch of WMV videos that i need to convert to use with iDVD, but i can't find a good converter that will keep quality the same without making the file much bigger. QT X made a HD movie go from 5 GB up to 8 GB
I use WMA MP3 Converter on Windows to convert audio books I download from the Library to remove the DRM 2 week restriction so I can play them on my iPod without date restriction. I am new to the Mac and cannot find an application that does the same. Is anyone aware of one that will do this? It is unique in that it removes the DRM fairly quickly.
I also use a free application MP3 to Audio Book Converter to merge the converted files to bookmarkable format.
I have an HD MOV file I'd like to burn to a DVD with subtitles. I made a DVD in iDVD but obviously iDVD doesn't support .srt. I had the idea of replacing the separate episodes (I'm burning a series) with my own VOB files I made with different software. That way I could have my soft subtitles. But FFMPEGX won't work; I've tried nearly everything but there's this huge problem with the framerate which makes it basically unwatchable. Note that I live in Europe so this DVD should be PAL. The files have 23.98 FPS and I need to go to 25 for it to work in a DVD player. What's the best software for this kind of thing?
I am looking to see if it is possible to convert video formats on the Mac to put onto the Ipod. I did a google search and found iSkysoft Video Converter.
I currently own a JVC Everio GZ-MG130 hard disk camcorder. It records in .MOD files. I cannot view them in quicktime on my imac g3. I have tried opening them as is, and renaming them to .MPG and .MOV. I found that HandBrake will do the job, but I cannot find a PowerPC version for 10.4. 0.9.1 should work, but I cannot find the installer files. If anyone knows of any other way to convert them, tell me. I need to be able to open them in iMovie '04 to edit them.
I've searched these forums and tried a few converters but nothing seems to be good. I used to use visual hub which up until recently was okay. Untill i tried to convert the film office space which i have as a matroska file to an mp4 for my iPhone. The film wouldnt run well and was very laggy on the iPhone. I got handbrake and that works fine for converting the film and makes .mkv's run smooth on the iPhone when converted to mp4, the only problem is that the program crashes after a while usually after converting one film. to cut a long story short! can anyone suggest some more video converters i can try that will work well with snow leopard?
I have a video that is ".mov" and I cant use it in SonyVegas (Windows 7) cause it shows no Video (just audio) So I'm trying to convert it to other format that hopefully wont make it look like crap and that will work with SonyVegas . I try iSkysoft Video Converter and it works, but It loose too much quality , the original .mov is 2GB and the biggest better quality i can get with that app is like 400-500mb. I'm giving up, I've search youtube and google for hours in the last 3 days without any success of making the .mov to work on sonyvegas or converting it, that's why i decided maybe someone in here can help me, I'm still kinda like a noob on MAC OS X
Recently bought a movie off of itunes and would like to burn it to a cd, for those who have done this, what is the best (free) software to help me with this challenge.
Can any recommend a free, good and preferably an easy to use video converter for the mac? Especially looking for applications that I can download videos onto my iphone and psp.
The reason I need this is for the xbox 360. If you have a flash drive you can watch movies on your tv just through a flash drive. The problem is all my movies are in .avi and they have to be .wmv.
I am hoping to get a suggestion or two on a good program to convert video files. I have visual hub but no way to register it . My biggest concern is the conversion from .avi to mp4 and m4v for my ipod, iphone, and apple tv. I also use mac the ripper so I was hoping to find something else that can handle .vob files and have the option to stitch them together like you can in visual hub.
I am new to Macs and I used to have a program for my PC called Tunebite, which plays back audio files and video files back and copies them as whatever you want. Gets rid of copy protection stuff.
i have this live concert on dvd and i want the audio on a cd to play in my car ..i was wondering is there an application i can use to extract this audio and convert it to a preferable audio format?
I am looking for a free reputable site that converts Youtube videos to mp3 files.
I did a search and tried 2 sites but stopped as they both seemed sketchy. I had a "unvarified securety warning" pop up on my computer from one site. The other one I tried had me prompted to a survey I had to fill out in order to convert the video which ended up being a marketing ploy for phone ringtones that you get charged for. Needless to say, I bailed on both sites.
Are there any real, legit decent Youtube to Mp3 converter sites that offer a decent, safe application or service?
Is there a good audio to text converter out there? I want to take an mp3 file (class lecture) and transcribe everything to text so i can read along. Does anyone know of anything that works well?
I am looking for the best converter for changing some .swf files into mp4's and even to convert those swf files into mp3 files for listening. I tried a few and they wouldn't convert swf files to mp4 files.
Bottom Line: I'm looking for an awesome ALL-IN-ONE file converter for the Mac that will convert most anything I throw at it. Does something like this exist? Free or not too expensive would be good too.
Is there an app (preferrably free, but if I need to shell out for it I'll bite) that can convert between FLAC-ALAC, but preserves the data tagging? As in artist name, title, album etc.
Looking to encode all my video DVDs etc, for my library. I have an Apple TV, PS3, iMac (2Ghz Core 2 Duo) and iPhone. I have been using Handbrake which is great, use the Apple TV preset which plays on all the devices listed I have. However I'm just wondering if there is a paid for, or free program that is faster or better in any respect for converting? I know H264 is CPU intensive, so is Handbrake going to be the best and fastest anyway?
I'm trying to convert some WMV files into a format iMovie will handle but what ever settings I use I only get the audio when I try and play the clips in either Quicktime or VLC and iMovie doesn't recognise the files as compatible. The clips are needed for a friend wedding in a week's time so I'm getting really frstrated/nervous!!
I need a free converter that will convert a WMV file into a file that iMovie will recognize. Also, an application that won't leave a watermark on the video.
