I have a Mac Pro arriving today and I'm wondering if I can transfer all of the applications, or really just one or two of the applications from the computer it is replacing.
How do I move my bookmarks from my PC to my MBP? I am running Safari on my PC and I can't find an option to export bookmarks.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am in process of setting up a new computer system. I've purchased a Windows 7 PC and am migrating my music from a PowerPC Mac. Both systems are active authorized iTunes computers. I set them up to share and used the share utility to import my entire library into the new system.
Every single non-iTunes songs transferred without issue - 27,000+ of them but every single iTunes purchased songs, only 400 of them, did not.
I recently bought an SSD for my laptop and did a clean install. I downloaded iTunes and imported several CDs into it. I then manually copied over some CDs on the old disk's iTunes folder into the current disk's iTunes folder. However, the new songs don't appear when I bring up iTunes. How do I get this to work?

After my recovery drive went missing and trying to reinstall it, had to do a format of my hard drive and reinstall everything once I got OS X reinstalled and up-to-date, I tried to import my bookmarks from a backup bookmarks file, when I quit safari and re-open safari bookmarks were missing and default ones back in place. When searching though the forums for how to fix this problem but too know unluck they did not work.

I find it incredibly useful in Firefox but I'm training myself to really get used to using Safari as my main browser. On a personal note, I'm glad I have a shaved head because I would've pulled out all of my hairs by now, trying to find this online. Searched everywhere. On here, Apple Support forums, Google, YouTube, you name it.

View 24 Replies View RelatedHow do I alphabetize my bookmarks? I've been wondering this for 2 years now, hoping I was overlooking something so simple but I'm done with it. I'm talking about bookmarks within a subfolder (e.g. Links, Tech, etc.) not the subfolders themselves. As it is now, my bookmarks are all jumbled up.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust got a MacBook and setting up. Is there a way to share my Mac Pro Safari 4 Bookmarks with my new Mac Book running Safari 4? Also looking at getting ChronoSync but I don't see where it says anything about sharing Bookmarks. Is there an easy built in way to pass my Bookmarks to my Mac Book?
View 4 Replies View Related I originally made most of my bookmarks through Safari; I then moved those bookmarks to FireFox, and subsequently added more bookmarks there (but all under Safari). There are no bookmarks under Firefox. When I open a bookmark from FireFox, I go to BOOKMARKS-->FROM SAFARI---> BOBS BOOKMARKS--->Folders/subfolders & titles of bookmarks. I would like to print out these bookmark links, how do I do it? Can't figure it out.
I don't want to migrate them to my new computer because it will just add more layers of complication. I want the new system without all these subfolders etc etc. If I can print them out I'll manually type them into my new browser bookmarks. Otherwise, since I have both old & new iMacs side by side & running, I'll look each up and do it that way.
It seems Safari on my MBP has erased all my book marks. This happened after syncing my iPad, I assume that is responsible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to alphabetize my Bookmarks in Safari? They seem to be in random order. I'm not asking about the Bookmark "headers" that I keep on the bar, but the items under each heading.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've created subfolder bookmarks in Safari and see how you can place bookmarks on the Bookmarks Bar. But what is the "Bookmarks Menu" folder in Safari? It's just below the Bookmarks Bar when you see all your bookmarks? What do you use this Menu for?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI absolutely hate that Steve Jobs insists on mixing directories with bookmarks in Safari and directories with files in Finder. While I've found a solution for the Finder, that is, Path Finder, I'm still struggling to find a plugin for Safari which cleans up this mess and lists directories first.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI continue to have problems with Safari after the Version 10.2.8 Apple pulled a year or so ago. It Unexpectedly quits everytime I hit any arrow, delete or modifier key. I decided for some reason to once again delete Safari and everyhing I could find. Anyway I want to get all the Safari bookmarks from my powerbook which works fine, and get them over to my iMac. There appears to be no way to save or transfer them! Unless I use .Mac which I can't afford.
