I'm going to give an off site backup service a try as they offer 2gigs for free. My intent is just to use it for my picture library. This along with Time Machine will give me a good piece of mind. Can someone tell me which folder would be the one that houses the pictures for backup purposes, and I do use iPhoto.

Sometimes the picture/photo opens in an other window with the righthand click, but not always. Another problem is: when i copy a photo and past it in my mail or other document, i get the url, but not the picture itself.

EDIT: I tried this... please tell me if this was the correct thing to do. I basically just went to Finder > Music > iTunes and dragged that whole "iTunes" folder to my external harddrive that was plugged in... and its copying it now
I have a hugh collection of all my DVD backed up on my mac in divx avi formant and I was looking for some kinda software that organise these films, maybe get covers and info. I have found Delicious Monster but it does not work with divx backs.

I go to the backup library and the latest backup is from 12/07 - so I am missing over a years worth of stuff. View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically somehow my iTunes got jacked up.. just the music part of it.. Anyway, they are all songs from my CDs or mp3's, but just as a failsafe, I would like to backup my entire iTunes library to my external hdd.
I would then like to delete all the songs from my iTunes, and from my iPhone. *edit* figure'd out how to remove all the songs from my iphone.. just unchecked all songs and sync'd.. now I just need to backup itunes and delete everything from it, then reput what I want back into itunes and resync.. sweet
After which, I would like to rebuild my iTunes library using my mp3's and CD's and basically start from scratch.. so that this time around I can properly name songs/albums/artwork/etc
Then I want to take this new iTunes library, and fill my iPhone back up with my new Library in Itunes..
so basically I just want to backup my itunes just incase for some reason I cannot find a particular CD or mp3 in my collection.
Just for the record, I am using a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.2, and I have an iPhone 3GS 32GB running the latest 3.1.2 firmware (jailbroken using blackra1n rc3)
I would like to have all of my music and pictures available to me on my 64 GB iPad but I can no longer keep these growing libraries of music and pictures on the hard drive of my MacBook Air because I've run out of space. External HardDrives are an option, but will it allow me to sync and keep the current data on my iPad along with future music and pictures? Are there any other alternatives that are much more ideal for this situation?

This occurred after she got a message asking if she wanted to update the library -- this message came from out of the blue and she answered yes. I am trying to restore the library from a backup, but every time it tries to restore it says there is no permission to access the iphoto library. When I click on get info I see that she has read and write permission, but still she gets the message. Can I change the permissions on a time machine file? She is using Iphoto 9 and Snow Leopard.

I have searched a LOT and think I need to rebuild my site, but I wanted to know if I can avoid that.
I have three sites created in iWeb.
They are all published to the web.
I have one domain file (should there be three???)
I have all of the website pages in my website file....however, within iWeb I deleted all of the pages for one of the sites. In order to ever edit those pages, do i need to rebuild them or can I transfer them back in somehow??
One more note...I do have that particular website in its entirety in iWeb on another laptop...(not mine and I do not have continual access to it); will this help me? Can I somehow merge the two iWeb apps so that I have all three websites??

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs stated in title, the desktop picture will randomly revert to a picture I had up there months ago, usually when I run the battery all the way down on my unibody MB, but also when I change display settings when i plug into an external monitor.
Do I just need just reset the PRAM or is there something else I'm missing.
BTW, I have searched and I know I only have a few posts...

So I'm looking for a solution to backup my large iPhoto library - I've searched on this forum and on Google and didn't really come up with a solution.. Anyone have any ideas? I'm aware the inital backup will take forever, but it'll be much quicker afterwards..
Price isn't an issue - but rather, if I need to retrive my data, I don't want to be paying out of the nose..
