My IT guy at work said normally it doesn't work outside our approved accounts, except on the iPhone and iPad you can bypasss it by turning SSL off.

Everything else in System Preference works, but when I click on Security the program would freeze then shut itself down.....

OS X :: Security Of AFP - Read Access To Files Of Other Users?
Jun 30, 2009I would like to be able to open up AFP on the Users folder (it is by default), but here comes my concern. Some of the users will have their sites hosted in their user Sites folders, including some PHP config files, potentially containing mysql login information, etc. Accessing the site through the web is no problem, as Apache w/ PHP will never show content of the PHP code, however AFP will!

I have found a program called YPOPS, but cannot find a mac version downlaod. Also, i have read on a website that I am unable to send email using this software as it does not support SMTP ....

Oct 13, 2009Gmail Users: Do you access your gmail only online, or do you use Apple Mail? I've been using Apple mail for my Gmail for a few years now (IMAP). However, I didn't realize how messed up it left my Gmail online (Tabs are a mess, mail messages are getting lost). I'm considering going back to online Gmail, but I also liked how Apple mail played nice with the iphone (since there's no Google GMAIL app for the iphone). So, let me know how you access your Gmail!

Apr 27, 2010I have been having someone steal UPS/FedEx packages from my front door. Most recently, I lost my son's birthday present. Luckily Amazon replaced it for free but they can not do that every time.
I have a MagicMouse coming tomorrow and wonder if I can use my iMac's iSight camera to capture the culprit?
I'd like to be able to aim the iMac out the front window through a gape in the curtains and use some type of software to periodically take time lapse shots or better yet even video?
Anyone have thoughts? It needs to run from about 6:30 am until the driver usually arrives which is between 12:30-2:00 but then be available to run until I get home about 4:30.
