I would like a simple application that will allow me to recored videos or take snapshots as soon as there is motion detected. I will be placing this for in my home office. Other then taping over the camera on light indicator is there a how to disable it?

I have a MagicMouse coming tomorrow and wonder if I can use my iMac's iSight camera to capture the culprit?
I'd like to be able to aim the iMac out the front window through a gape in the curtains and use some type of software to periodically take time lapse shots or better yet even video?
Anyone have thoughts? It needs to run from about 6:30 am until the driver usually arrives which is between 12:30-2:00 but then be available to run until I get home about 4:30.
I am looking for a security camera night and day (with and without sound if possible) for home and office security - I want this to work with Apple (Mac) OS X operating system and server. I would like wireless camera if possible. Note: I will attache these camera by wireless to my network and would like to access this by using the web or creating a web site so I can monitor actions and these cameras.

I recently had a High Resolution IP Camera set up at a offsite location. The company that set it up gave me an IP addresss to log in to see the pictures streaming. The problem is the address only works with Interent Explorer. Is there anyway to emulate IE without installing windows, or run a similar program to view the image. I'm looking NOT to buy extra software. It does not work with Safari or Firefox. I also tried Firefox on a windows machine and it did not work.

The situation: I installed VirtualBox, all seems fine. I then installed Windows XP. All seemed fine. I installed Gust Additions. Then I installed Safari. Then I went and downloaded and installed Microsoft Security Essentials. When it attempted to install, it would fail, and asks me to restart and try again. I went ahead and restarted. When the virtual machine restarted, it'd get all screwed up, squashed video and frozen. Then I'd get a dialog saying that the virtual machine disk image has a problem or some such, and claims that a likely cause is a problem with the harddrive. After I clicked OK, it beachball'd. I force-quit the program.
anyone with a 8600F scanner still works after updating to the latest security updates on osx? Mine stopped working after updating. I can still use the scanner in windows but not in osx. this is driving me nuts.

At first I thought it was no big deal because most (real) cameras don't need special software but just behave pretty much like an external drive.
But for some reason, this one doesn't - it is not picked up by iPhoto or Image Capture...

So far I'm looking at Canon's PowerShot SD790 IS, and their PowerShot A590 IS. Does anyone know if these two cameras are compatible with iPhoto?
I setup ip cameras for a lot of my clients, not to mention the ones around my own spaces, but I use a mac at home and the software that I use for them is Windows only.
I'm trying to find something worth while that will let me view the multiple ip cameras at once, just grid up the monitor basically.

When I preview the photos, the portraits automatically rotate in order to be on the upside. But when I use it as wallpaper, it doesn't rotate. Everything in the setup process goes well until I hit the part when I must enter in my three-digit security code. I do so, then proceed. iTunes won't proceed because it appears I have not entered a valid security code. But the problem is, it is in fact valid: I've used it before for other things and it works fine. I've triple-checked; it's kinda hard to incorrectly type a three-digit number.
Could someone give me a direct comparison between resolution on iSight on my macBook and iPhone camera.
