Software :: Send Address Book Names Directly To Bcc?
Jun 24, 2008In Panther, I was able to click on names in AddressBook and they would go to "To:, Cc:, or Bcc" whichever I had previously selected. In Tiger, they all go to "To:" no matter which one I select. This is a step backward in Tiger. Not being able to drag and drop into the Subject line is another step backward.
Of course, I can drag the names from "To:" to "Bcc:", but I have forgotten at times and ended up having all those names sent to my recipients.
Is there a way to send Address Book names directly to Bcc? How does Leopard handle this?

Jun 12, 2012Bought a Mac pro last month. It can directly detect the printer and print. Suddenly it can't print and show the message driver can't find. From that day identify and issue was the spotlight didn't work. Immediately send the hardware to the nearest store. Store helper advise to format the machine. No choice I have to allow them do it. Before format I do raise out the printing matter, they are so confident and tell apple mac is auto detect. Unfortunatelly the printer matter wasn't resolve. Need advise on this matter. On the other hand, how to made an complaint about store bad service at the store. The outlets :- Switch outlet located at taiping branch. Perak . MAlaysia.

Mar 3, 2009After running the latest release of updates today (ilife, raw camera, etc.) Aperture 2.2.1 (whatever the latest release) no longer sees all of my photos - about half of my projects are missing from the Aperture program itself, however they are still in the library as I can get to them in finder.

Jun 30, 2014I want to transfer my fotos and videos from Aperture on my old mac, to a new mac. I have tried to create a vault on an external drive, and then open it from Aperture on my new mac, but nothing happens when I open the vault - a new library is available, but no fotos/videos.
Then I have tried to export some on my projects as a new library, and this works. I can open the fotos, but a lot of fotos/videos now have a small yellow triangle in the right corner. The videos that have this triangle will not play in Aperture, whereas the videos without this triangle are ok.

Feb 12, 2010Practically all my photos are in my Aperture libraries, but I can't browse these when choosing a desktop picture in the System Preferences. I remember it was possible to browse through the iPhoto events, but I don't see this option with Aperture. So is there really no way to use the photos from Aperture as a desktop picture without exporting the photos to an ordinary folder?

To get rid of the clutter I want to delete the desktop photos without deleting the copy I have of them in Aperture. If I drag the desktop photos into the trash, will I still have these photos in Aperture? Aperture :: Why Printed Image And Its Borders Different Than Specified On Print Window
Dec 7, 2014I am trying to print an 11.98x17.97 image on a 13x19 sheet. I specify .51" borders top and bottom, and .52" right and left.
Instead, I am getting a 7.5x10.75" printed image with L 1 1/8" + R 7 1/8" borders and T 1/8" + B 5 3/8" borders. In short, a smaller image, shoved up and left on the sheet. See screen shot below.
Same happened when I tried to print a 4x6 image on an 8.5x11 sheet, until I was told by Kirby to enter the sheet size as a standard 'letter size' sheet instead of entering a custom 8.5x11" size. Is this the same? If so, what's the 'standard' size for 13"x19"?

Jan 6, 2011With all the excitement around the $79 price of Aperture on the new mac app store, I'm thinking about getting it, but wondering if I can then ditch iPhoto? I looked at Apple's website about Aperture and see that it seems to be iPhoto+ with all the features of iPhoto plus more. But I'm wondering about the integration of it with iOS devices, etc. If I move everything to Aperture, will I still be able to use photos in my mac's screensaver, or on my Apple TV, or sync to my iPhone....all of these seem to tie to iPhoto, but if you install Aperture, do they then work with it?

Jun 17, 2010Installed iTunes 9.2 and now get an error message at end of synch saying the iPhone can't synch because the file can't be found. The issue is limited to photos checked to synch from my Aperture 3.03 library. Those photos have been removed from the iPhone leaving only the photos taken on the iPhone and stored in the 'film roll'. All photos synched from Aperture were removed and won't reload. The Photo tab shows the Aperture app is checked and should synch.
I have repaired permissions and rebooted the iMac. Same issue continues after all this.

May 22, 2012Since the latest update, iTunes now only syncs the master images from my aperture library. this seems to be specific to photos edited after updating to Mac OSX 10.7.4. Have tried unsyncing and resyncing. Happens on both my iPhone 4s and iPad 2.

I have done this for one project BUT when I try and delete the original project it tells me I will lose all my photos which have been moved...

Aperture :: Creating Doubles While Importing Photos?
Aug 29, 2014why Aperture is creating doubles while importing photos? Within Aperture, the events only show single pictures but there are 2 copies of the same photo displayed within finder. Example:
-DC101010.jpg
-DC101010 (1).jpg
Some findings:
Happens on new files never imported and on files I've imported before (creating new events the 2nd time and unchecking "do not import duplicates") Removing the file with a "(1)" in the name does not affect Aperture...The 2 files are identical in dates and size, with preview showing the same picture.Creating a new test library and importing did not fix the problem

Aperture :: Merging Photos From Multiple Sources?
Aug 24, 2014I have mulitple photo folders and multiple storage sites, icloud, iphone and windows cpu. They all have the same photo folders but there are alot of duplicates. I'd just like to clean this up and merge them illiminate duplicates and have one folder. With the new appeture i can search by years and places so this will work. Just not sure how to go about without screwing this up. Do i do this on the CPU or iCloud. how exactly?
