I have music that I own but recently transfered to my new mac. When I attempt to authorize my music on this computer, I get the message "Machine authorization successful", but when I try to play the music, it asks for my iTunes user/pass again. It constantly says I am authorized, but never plays. I tried deauthorizing all computers and trying again, but this does not work.

Message said this computer is not authorized. I've followed the steps to authorize my computer, but when I go into "store" there is no option to "authorize my computer", went into "advance", still no "authorize my computer".

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to remotely deauthorize computers from itunes? My songs were all authorized to play on my computer all of a sudden some are deauthorized and are asking me to authorize it again. Then it says 5 computers are already authorized. I only have 2 in my house right now. The screwy thing is they used to be authorized on this computer anyway.

Is there any way to de-authorize all computers associated with an iTunes account without going to each machine?
Reason being... I had a few computers that I've since reloaded that I forgot to de-authorize them before wiping them out. Unfortunately, they must be still in there because I'm not able to add any of my new reloaded machines. (says I've reached my 5 machine max)
No type of video will play. ITunes says that the computer needs to be authorized to play videos. I have already authorized it. I've deauthorized it a few times and restarted the computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to order act of valor as a rental, but did not work the first time. So i switched to my roommates computer and it began downloading on the same account. However, an error occured while i was downloading it but it still said i was being billed for the movie and had 24 hours remaining to view it. So i switched back to my original macbook pro to see if the download would work the second time. It is downloading but wont let me view the film because it was authorized to be viewed on the other computer as well.

My old computer died and my most recent iPod stolen. I have a new computer and a new iPod but iTunes won't let me authorize the new computer to access my previous library. How to authorize a new computer when old computer died? The iTunes I have downloaded does not give me a deauthorize previous computers option nor does it give me an option to authorize the new computer. I would very much like to access my previous iTunes library.

I purchased a song from iTunes today and after it downloaded I was unable play it after being told my computer was not authorized to play the song. After going through the steps to "authorize the computer" I was told it is already authorized. Thinking I was then going to be able to play the song, I was once again being told that my computer was not authorized.

iTunes 12.0.1.26, Yosemite 10.10.1, New iPhone 6Plus and hours of sync attempt frustration!Â
iTunes 12 just won't sync to the 6 Plus, It keeps telling me that computer is not authorized. Â
1. I've gone through he de-auth and re-auth dozens of times, also deauth'd all devices and re-auth just this Macbook Pro.
2. Gone through steps in the article iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
3. My old 5S still syncs fine.
4. iTunes recognized the device plugged in but it is not seen in Manage Devices
5. While plugged in iTunes recognizes the App updates I do on the device and changes them from Will Install to Remove status after the update. Also was able to do an OS upset to 8.1.1 while plugged in so it knows how to communicate to the device but just can't sync.Â
I did a restore of a saved 5S which only brought back abut 20% of my apps. In looking at the Apps section when the device is plugged I see my other 100+ apps and screen configurations but hitting the sync results in the computer not authorized rejection dialog. Â
I have an iPhone 5 -- trying to sync to iTunes on my iMac -- keep getting an error telling me that I need to authorize this computer. I go and "authorize" it and get a message saying it is already authorized.Â

we set up OUR Apple account using my then wife's (now ex-wife's) e-mail address and created OUR apple ID account under her name. Fast forward eight years, it has now been two years since my divorce and I have tons of music that was purchased using my ex-wife's Apple account. During the last two years, playing the music that was purchased with her account has not been an issue. I select my music that I want to listen to, hit play and it played. But ever since the latest update from iTunes, I now have a HUGE issue. The latest update requires computers to now be "authorized" to play purchased music and any purchased music must now be verified by the account ID and password used to purchase the music. This has created a catastrophe because my ex-wife has now of course changed her Apple ID password which means I no longer have access to about $1000 worth of music because of this new authorization! This has made me livid to say the least because this seems to be an arbitrary and completely random bull crap requirement from Apple. I have tried to resolve this through Apple support but since it is now nearly impossible to speak to a human at Apple, the email method of communication has yielded diddly squat. I doubt this "forum method" will be any more productive but I have to try. I have begun a social media campaign against Apple's methods of burying random and arbitrary requirements deep within their regular software updates. I've already paid for the music once. I won't pay for it again.
