Now I know how this looks... but trust me, I'm not here to commit piracy. I just wish to see my TV shows/Movies on my big screen. My FreeSat box has a USB port which reads many many file formats, but not iTunes protected .m4v's.
Is there any way at all to remove the DRM and convert the files into something like .mp4 or .avi or .mpg? I know it isn't strictly legal, but I'm not forking out �99 for a TV and having another household running appliance when my FreeSat box can do just a good a job.

How do you remove iTunes artwork? I have tried to drag it out or replace with a new cover but I still cant remove the original. I used one of those software apps that import all cover artwork and now some of U2 collection has a Prince album cover on! I have since removed iFlicks using appzapper, yet it has not been removed. I also looked in library/iTunes/ and found no folder with scripts or anything similar. I was temporarily using my MAcBook Air as the family media server while our iMac was being repaired. To do so, I plugged in the external drive that is home to all our music, movies and tv shows. Now that the iMac is fixed, I set it back up as the server, plugging the iTunes drive into it and resetting AppleTV to work with it. Now to my question: All the content that had been on the iTunes external drive is now listed, but missing in iTunes. Obviously. Short of having to delete every file one at a time, is there any way to remove everything that is "missing" all at once? I'd like to only keep a few songs on my laptop, and keep the lists of what I have very tidy, hence the need to delete everything iTunes can't find.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a bit of a mess with iTunes 11 while migrating from Windows to Mac OS. Somehow I have duplicate subscriptions in the "My Podcasts" view. When I look at them, they don't have proper icons and the subscript setting is turned off (i.e. unsubscribed ). The listing that has an icon and has an episode count is working fine. Also, The duplicate subscription entries do not appear in the "list" podcast view. I tried using "Edit->delete" from the iTunes menu to delete them, but nothing happens.Â
