View 1 RepliesI have lost my harddrive which contains a vast amount of music I've been collecting for many years. I just purchased a new Mac, but I've reached my activation limit. And I only have access to 2 of the 5 activated computers. My old music can still be played on my iPod, but I need to set up another account on my new Mac. What will happen to my music if I were to deactivate all of activated computers?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been able to pass my music from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 and iPad 2 but I cant figure out how to pass a ringtone I purchase on my iphone4 to my other iPhone4.

I have an iMac and MacBook Pro, both have Snow Leopard. I use Carbon Copy Cloner but only to back up the iMac to an external drive. I do not want to create a bootbale drive of the laptop (not enough space in the external hard drive). What I want to do is ocassionally copy files from the laptop to the iMac. I know how to do this via sharing but sharing does not really let me back up only new files. In other words, upon my periodic file copying backup from laptop to iMac, I would like whatever tool or app or program or Mac feature you may suggest to detecte which files already exist in the iMac. So, pretty much the same thing CCC does but not a bootable drive, just copy files. I also want to create a file copy back up of some of the applications in the latop. I dont think drag and drop or sharing would work for this. Really, I would be satisfied with some kind of snapshot if you will of the applications and versions in the laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design? Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

I have a Macbook Pro and a desktop PC with iTunes installed on each with the same account. However, my iTunes purchases are not reflected the same on each computer. For example, my Macbook has two tv seasons of The Wire that does not appear on my PC iTunes. Also, there are a number of apps on my PC that I don't have on my Mac notebook. This is especially annoying as I sync my iPhone 4 most frequently with my desktop.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've Googled for apps to do this but all of the ones I've found are out of date. I realize there isn't much of a need for this anymore but I've just discovered about 20 tracks in my library are still protected. This means I can't use them in iMovie for the iPhone. Only about half of them are listed in iTunes as having iTunes Plus upgrades so I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI get this error message when I try to check for purchases: "Unable to check for available downloads. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. please try again later." This has been going on for months. Upgrading to snow leopard didnt change it. Various iTunes upgrades haven't changed it. What can I do? I'm running iTunes 9.0.2, OS X 10.6.2 on a Unibody Macbook.

bought a TV show and rented a couple of movies in iTunes to watch during flight on my macbook air like at least 30 times before. However, every time I click on play I get the following "this movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP." i am livid. What is going on? My rental 24 hour limit kicked in without me being able to watch a single microsecond of the movie. This is not the first time that I have difficulties getting something what I paid for in Itunes. This is very delicate for a company that prides itself of being high-quality.

any info concerning refunds on in app purchases made by a child would be appreciated. I am aware that I am responsible for monitoring my child's activity on the device. However Apple needs to be aware that some of these apps are at best underhandedly enticing unknowing kids to innocently buy.
