Jun 17, 2012I can't seem to open my iTunes. I tried clicking on the app on my macbook pro's dock but every time I do, a question mark pops out. How do I get it to open?

Jun 21, 2009For the past few days, whenever I try to open itunes, a dialogue box pops up and says, "The application iTunes quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."
I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it using a new dmg, but it still says this. I also tried uninstalling Flip4Mac and taking out the plug-ins from users/*user*/library/itunes/itunes plug-ins.
ITunes :: Window Pops Up When Music Video Plays?
Jun 8, 2012When a video track begins, the iTunes window comes up, even if I've got iTunes hidden. (Note: it doesn't bring the iTunes application to the foreground; it just shows the iTunes window behind my current window.)Â
Clearly, this is not the behavior I want when it's _hidden_! ...But I can't find any way to stop this behavior
P.S. This is iTunes version 10.6.1(7) on OS 10.7.4. Also, I'm running SizzlingKeys 3.3.5, if that matters (there doesn't seem to be a preference in this app to control window behavior...).

Sep 1, 2010It won't open, at all, I've deleted every plist associated with iTunes, the cache, everything. It will only open if I do it manually through Terminal and that isn't perfect in my opinion. I have also downloaded it twice and installed it twice, same thing happens. They've pulled iTunes 10 from the download page.

Mar 12, 2012Then I tried to connect my IPAD and IPHONE and neither would update because it couldnt find the file or something and then i couldnt even restore.The next day itunes was gone completely: "The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13014)" And then the next day ie today there is NO DOCK, NO BACKGROUND and NO DESKTOP ICONS! I had to open safari from the top bar that was only there because I have one random application called Garmin ANT that remained open (i never use this application, its a running computer watch thing)

Mar 24, 2012I updated from snowleopard to lion (10.7.3) and corresponding latest itunes version. My itunes library is on a Qnap Nas TSs 109-II. It has got latest available firmware 3.3.2 Build 0918T. I mount the NAS volumes with the following script:Â

I can access the volumes using e.g. finder fine. Files open up and can be saved. iphoto also works from volumen media. Only itunes crashes a few seconds after being opened "unexpected end". I have searched and tried a lot. No success.Â

Jun 25, 2012The video podcasts in the playlist open but dont (and cant) play, although when I drag the progress slider left to right it fast forwards. As I drag and I can see whats the video content. I am on 10.6.3 latest Itunes on Snow Leopard, having fell back to Snow Leopard from Lion yesterday.
These podcasts are mp4 - and VLC plays them perfectly, i have d/loaded Xiph, flip4mac, Mplayer X. Lame and these made no difference. I was watching these exact same files on the exact same machine yesterday. But under LION. the files aren't corrupt. Quicktime wont play them either. Quicktime is ticked to work in 32 bit mode.

Jun 30, 2014I use a Mac Mini to launch iTunes with library saved in an external drive. Now my Mac Mini retires and I replaced it with a new one. I launch iTunes on the new Mac and reconnect to the library in the external drive.Â
How come my wav files are shown in correct albums in old Mac but shown in unknown albums in new Mac? What must I transfer from the old mac to new mac show wav files in their right places?Â
I have tried importing the library xml file but it didn't work.Â

Apr 16, 2012When I opened safari my homepage was apple and it opened using the middle of the display with the desktop screensaver visable on both sides of the page now it opens adn takes up the whole screen I don't know how to resize it and save it where it will open to the same all the time. I'm a very new owner of an IMAC and to apple so I'm completely in the dark to mac systems and just stumbling around. I deleted it from applications, then ITunes drop down menu, then all these artists. After that, I emptied my trash. So I have nothing. Now I only have one song on my ITunes, which is the one I was listening to when my songs got deleted. But now, when I go on ITunes, it looks like I have all my songs, except there are small little exclamation points next to each song. When I click a song to play, the song cant be found.

It's when that scary grey box pops up with 3 different languages that basically says something bad happened, hold the power button to turn off the computer. Forgive me for not knowing the exact name or text of that message. Anyway - 2 things 1)what does this error mean? (I believe both got it off and on repeatedly) and 2) Is it a coincidence that they both got the same problem the same night, and are any other G4 laptop owners experiencing it?

I tried everything from pressing ESC to trying to fast forward/rewind- nothing worked. I had to restart the computer by pressing the button on the back. I tried playing the DVD again and the color wheel came up. The DVD plays fine in other players.
