I just found out that there seems to be a bug in iTunes 10.6. After I selected the option of œconvert higher bit rate songs to, album covers mysteriously disappeared. It took me a while to figure this out but I just deselected this option, replaced the albums and presto! Album covers are back again!

i've got an iPhone 4 and a Mac with iTunes, and recently i encountered my first problem while re-importing music. first of all, when i add new albums to importing list, iTunes starts importing them immidiately and skips the songs i've already added (which means, i end up with having only the first song from every album on my iPhone).the other problem is, when i've patiently imported some music album by album, it turned out that none of the songs had cover images!

I've got quite a few albums that need the album covers and when I click on all of the songs on the album and let iTunes try and retrieve the album covers it comes back with nothing. So what I've done in the past is go to [URL] and copy and paste the covers but it seems like I've got to go thru each song individually to get them to take.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently I got a 3Gs and loaded it up with my old 3G backup. All the music was gone. No biggie, I just re-added it all. Then I upgraded to 3.1 and i noticed that in my iPod on the iPhone some of my albums were showing up as multiple entries. The difference is, it seems it would make a new album entry for every artist on the album. It's annoying because I used to just have one album but now its like 15 entries and i have to scroll through them all when they should all fall under that same album. WTF 3.1

I have an iPhone 4S and the latest iMac. I manually manage my content on my iPhone - I don't have anything automatically sync on it. But when I drag music over to my iPhone the album art does not travel with it. I have most of my audio in AIFF format in iTunes - other than stuff I buy digitally. I have found that once the audio is over on my phone, I then have to copy the artwork over not once but TWICE before it will update on the phone and show up. It does work though and that is fine.Â
My problem now is I purchase digital 'compilations' where each track has a different album cover because they come from different albums. I just dragged over 250+ tracks and I'm not going to go in 1 by 1 and copy the album covers over twice for each track.My phone used to update properly but in the last few months it stopped doing it properly so I'm wondering if there is something that needs to be reset on it to get it to work properly again.I have all the files on my iPhone coverted to 128K for size issues and all my files in iTunes are at least 320K or higher so they all get down-converted when they are moved onto the iPhone. I assume the artwork is somehow getting 'lost' in this conversion process.Â

I have an iMac, Air and iPhone 4S, all up-to-date. I did my iCloud migration a few weeks ago. Everything seemed to work; I especially tested Calendar and verified that an event created on each device would appear on/disappear from the others. However, over the past few days I have realized that iCloud sync of Contacts/AddressBook is only working on the iPhone. Cards that I have created on the iMac and Air do not appear on the phone, but cards that I create on the iPhone do appear on the others. Â
After readng some similar questions here, I checkef SysPrefs on the Air, discovered MobileMe was still the default for AddressBook, changed it (in two places) to iCloud... and now have a complete set of duplicate entries in the Air, but still no sync up to iCloud. (I created new cards to check, and also checked iCloud.com to make sure the data is there. It is, no dupes — but also none of the cards I created on the Air before or after changing the default.)Â

I've just imported some songs to iTunes and they have all the same ID3 tag for "Album". iTunes can see this Album name but it doesn't group them in the Album view. I see seven times the same album ....
If I edit the the album name via iTunes and set the same album name again, it will group them.
When I perform the "retrieve album artwork" function, a number of my CD's do not retrieve any artwork. Is there a website other than ITunes that I go to retrieve album art?

I've noticed this since iTunes 10.6 where the album art on my music, iTunes purchased or imported, doesn't get transferred over to my iPhone 4S (5.0.1) nor my iPhone 4 (5.1) with "Convert higher bitrate songs to XXX kbps AAC" checked in iTunes.Â
I've tried transferring with Lion and Windows 7 under Bootcamp (both OS are using the latest iTunes 10.6.1) and both are doing the same thing.Â
Is this a bug that Apple is missing (anywhere to send bug reports)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had purchaser the single of the Payphone from iTunes and when the album was released I did a "Complete my Album" purchase of the same Album. iTunes won't play the single when palying the album. It is not shown as being in the album at all, even the track number is omited. How can I get that single to play in order when selecting the Album without creating a special playlist just for this album. I thought when you did a "Complete my album" it would do just that not omit it from the album and keep the single as a separate track.

I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I recently discovered this issue that iTunes wouldn't sync lyrics over to my iPhone for some tracks.
