I got my imac in November '09 and my caps lock works but the green led does not light always.
The only way i can fix it is remove the batteries
Or disconnect and reconnect the keyboard by clicking on the bluetooth icon
So if apple is not going to fix this bluetooth bug im going to see if apple will refund my money so i can get a wired one.
My friends keyboard does this also and im fed up with this bs...
I have a 2008 black macbook with 10.7.2 installed (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM). When I press caps lock, no green light turns on and letters remain in non-capital form. Even when I hold Caps lock for a few seconds, nothing happens. If I physically connect an apple keyboard via usb to my computer, caps lock doesn't work.Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a replacement keyboard on ebay for my MBP and just installed it. It's been about a week, and just today, I noticed the capslock key doesn't work.. I'm not sure if it has been this way, or if it recently just stopped. The light doesn't come on at all.
I was curious if this was a common problem? If not, is their anything I can do as a substitute for caps lock? Another key perhaps? Or, a button on the task bar or something?
I've noticed that my caps lock light keeps blinking randomly. It usually happens in groups of blinks every 5 minutes or so. It started doing this after I upgraded to snow leopard. Why is it doing this?

I was using my trusty powerbook 500 mhz and when i closed the screen while the machine was on, after @ 1/2 hour i opened the screen up and NOTHING!. i restarted and nothing again, the caps lock key will light up, so i am assuming the power supply is ok. No chime and black screen, any suggestions on what it might be...im thinking logic board, if so what ones will fit that model

View 7 Replies View Relatedis it me or is there something wrong with the caps lock key on the new aluminium keyboards? i like the keyboards but for some reason the caps lock just doesn't engage most of the time. someone said it was because firmware stopped it from coming on instantly to prevent accidental presses, but to me it seems like a huge design flaw - in my experience it comes on instantly if you press it in a certain manner. i've already got a replacement keyboard from apple because of this but the new one has the exact same problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys, select "No Action" for the Caps Lock key. Hit OK. Go back, Restore Defaults, OK. That will only work until the first, sometimes second sleep! You'll have to reboot your iMac again and again and again then to get it work again! I have changed 3 aluminum keyboards (two of the wireless).

I bought a rocketfish bluetooth adapter(usb) and i have a PowerMacG5, and i just got the newest bluetooth wireless keyboard but the fn key wont work at all. i cant change the volume or the use the previous, pause/play keys, or fastforward because the fn key doesn't work.

PRAM reset was of no use. Restart was useless. also reinstalling maverick was useless. what can it be? if I disable the caps lock from the keyboard preferences, the led turns on, meaning that for my mac the lower case is set when the led is on.

I used my Wireless Aluminum Keyboard over in Mac OS. I recently installed Vista 32-bit over bootcamp. After I boot Windows, I cannot use my Wireless keyboard. I paired using Windows help assistant or whatever but still cant use it. Do you guys have any same problems? What do you guys do? Is there any Apple Software update for this problem? View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm yet to figure out a pattern, but my Macbook Pro's keyboard will just stop working for several minutes at a time at random points in time...Even if I hit caps or num lock, they don't turn green. Sometimes it'll just happen once every few hours, but I was in class the other day and it would work for a minute, then not work for a few, than work for another minute, etc.

It is really annoying, especially because the backspace changes to forward space and the arrow keys have different functions. The keyboard has new batteries, changing language does not work, OS is 10.6.8 with all updates.

When I am in Mac's "Pages" or messaging in "Mail", the keyboard "END" button doesn't do anything. When I isited the Apple store, theirs didn't seem to work either, except when using Microsoft Word for Mac. Ironic, huh? Does anyone know anything about this??

I recently bought a 27" iMac that came with a small wirelss keyboard (without the number pad) and a magic mouse. Two questions:
1) Is there a way to lock the F keys on? I use InDesign a lot and I hate that I have to keep holding the "fn" key down to select F2 (which I have set up to change to the selection tool) or any other F key I have set up as a shortcut.
2) Is there a way to slow down the scrolling speed of the finger method of scrolling? Most of the time I just want to scroll a little bit, not an entire page. I used to use my mouse's scroll wheel and set the speed to slow.

i woke up this morning and neither my mouse or keyboard will connect to my imac im now using a wireles mouse app on my ipod i tried restarting the computer but since doing that it says bluetooth not available.
when i click the bluetooth symbol in the top theres not even a bluetooth option in my system preferences folder.
I have an iMac G3 keyboard that I'm trying to use with my MacBook, it works PERFECT, except when I press caps lock it just stops working. Also, when I first plug it in the Caps Lock light flashes green for just a split second. Is there any chance of getting hold of some software that would help?

I tap it like every other key and it usually takes 2-3 or more times before it changes. Is there really anything to do? I hate to take it back for something so trivial.
