I have somehow managed to install something called InstallMac on my Mac and can't find a way to get rid of it. It has taken over Safari and will only let me use its search engine. How can I remove this without anti-malware software?
Is there a uninstall software section like on Windows?
decided to download some apps without paying attention and decided to download InstallMac into my Macbook Pro. I have done some previous research and installed the Adware Removal Tool and it did work delete some of the items, but I think there's still more to delete that the adware removal tool did not get.
Whenever I search something on Google Chrome, the address bar will show search.strtpoint.com before redirecting to my search. For example if I type the letters dasf in the search bar on Google Chrome it will show the url: [URL]
I've tried using Avast full system scan and many of the items couldn't be deleted. It would say, Unable to scan: 1675 items and about 37 infections and I believe this is all from the Install Mac that I've downloaded.

I'm using a 20" white intel iMac and cannot manage to remove a linux boot disc from the optical drive.At first, the only way that i managed to boot to the linux disc in the first place was from the Startup Disk menu in OSX. FYI, I did go through the whole bootcamp installation, divided my hard drive, what have you. I cannot delete the BC partition through BC Assistant, the option box is greyed out. I cannot adjust the partition size through disk utility because the minus and plus buttons are greyed out as well.
