With [url]... I could invite friends/family to view pictures/video uploaded to my Mobile.me account. Now that the latter has been replaced with iCloud, I don't appear to have this valuable feature, I don't even see the iPhoto icon when I log into my [url]... account from Safari.

I have set up three different accounts on my iMac. My Account, Kids Account, and a Guest Account. I have a large collection of photos in the iPhoto program in My Account and I would like the Kids account to be able to see the photos. Is there a way that the Kids account can see the content of iPhoto in My account? I looked around and couldn't see any settings that would allow me to do that.

Whilst in the store setting up our new mac the people in the shop told us that we could only have 1 icloud account per user, and therefore my wife and i should set up separte user accounts. Great. However, we both want to be able to access all of our photos and our music library. I have been into the sharing folders, but i must be doing somthing wrong, because as my wife turns on iphoto in her user account, she cannot access any of our photos.Â

I have this wierd thing going on - when I copy pictures (jgp) from my MacBook to my standalone NAS (samba share based) - they are not visible from within Finder. I have to manually open a terminal and do a "ls" to see that they are there. Â
This only happens with copying Mac->NAS, and not with PC->NAS. In fact, if I copy the folder with all the hidden .jpgs over to my PC, I can even see them there. It just says it contains 234 pictures when I bring up the folder properties.
Anyone know whats causing this, or what I can do to failsearch? Â

I recently got an imac, and I am new to the the mac world but decided I loved my iphone how bad could a mac be? My husband and I each have our computer he has a PC & I have a mac and a PC laptop.We bought an external hardrive to dump all my many many pictures on it.The idea is we will not save anything on our computers but instead work off of the hard drive that is automatically backed up.Ok now that you know the back ground.How can I view pictures from the external hardrive in iphoto with out haveing to make an iphoto library on my external hardrive.I would not mind putting all my pictures in the iphoto library as long as I could view or manipulate the pictures from a PC, does anyone know if this is a possibility? I have asked at the one to one sessions that I paid for but they can't help. I guess it also hard for them to help when I can't very well be lugging my desk top in and out of the mac store for help.
Any ideas I really like the iphoto tools and it could be very helpfull, but only if it doesn't limit me to always working from my computer.I have great photo editing software on my laptop and want to be able to access the pictures from my laptp edit save and later view from my mac.I found out how to make iphoto open the iphoto library on my external harddrive but I am asking for more.

Our company recently switched to MacBook Pro computers. When I got mine I took it on vacation and uploaded pictures on it, and have the pictures on iCloud through PhotoStream. My company then installed software that encrypts the Mac, and also has a policy where I can't install iPhoto.
I can still see the pictures through my iPad on PhotoStream which is good. Is there any way possible to download my pictures from PhotoStream to another computer?I've tried to do it using my wife's MacBook Pro (and setting it with my iCloud settings), and on a PC laptop, but it seems like if it's in iCloud, and the computer you're on didn't upload it, you can't download it or even see it.

I have been using iCloud/photo stream ever since I got my iPhone which was about 2 years ago, but whenever I go on my computer and access my pictures on iCloud, it never displays all the photos I've taken, it only displays photos from up to two months ago. How can i access all my pictures?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have heard that .mac and mobileme were supposed to be some unworkable system.But so far iCloud seems to be a practical joke, or a way around dropping the service entirely.There appears to be no way to create a document using the applications in iWork, on a Mac, and "share" them using the "Cloud", except for "iWork", which Apple is killing this summer. On an iPad, though, the only documents that can be accessed are copies from iTunes, iDisk (which I think dies this summer too) and webDav? So already, the supposed way of seamlessly syncing my documents depends on separate and apparently conflicting methods. Yet, all of Apple's literature would have me believe that all these apps are compatible, and use, this vaporware called "iCloud".
I would really prefer Apple saying they can't make it work.I can start using Microsoft Office 11 and set up something that approximates a webDav, but then will apple kill that on the iPads? This is starting to look like a worse mess than it was before. If you can edit a photograph, how much harder can it be to edit text?

On mobile me/idisk I would upload the file to one of the folders (usually Public) the just click the share tab and enter the relevant address. Is idisk not part of the icloud way of doing things? If not how do i upload?

I needed to delete 2 pictures from ICloud, with 5.1 and higher this should have been as simple as right clicking and choosing deleteIt did not work, followed directions for resetting ICloud, it said existing pictures already saved on Imac would not be deleted, after reset just send pictures from your device back to Photo Stream, it deleted all pictures that I had in IPhoto that I had pushed to Photo Stream icloud, how can this happen and how do I get my pictures back.

If I correctly understand how iClowd works, we could use different Apple IDs and our bookmarks wouldn't share but we could't share calendars with this set up. If we use a shared Apple ID, we can share calendars but are bookmarks are also shared. Is there some way to share calendars but not bookmarks?
