I'm trying to access this game (iSketch). But this dialogue box keeps popping up!
so I click 'Go' and it takes me to a download page. I download Shockwave and it installs and everybody's happy. Well, everyone but me! I try to re-access the site and it gives me the same dialogue box... I try restarting the computer, but nothing happens.
When I attempt to download Adobe Shockwave player on my macbook pro, I get a gray screen and it will not download.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an iBook G4 using 10.4.11 and the newest version of shockwave 11.5. My problem is that running a shockwave site eats up my CPU cycles and nearly overheats my iBook. First, what is the difference between hardwave and software rendering? Second, with the full install instead of the slim, what can I do differently in the full?
The most important thing is: how can I get shockwave to not eat up CPU cycles and memory?

also if i try mac the ripper, it says I/O error, and it cant read the disk
its worth noting, ive installed a command and conquer game using the drive so it works?
Recently I haven't been able to play DVDs on my Mac. When I insert a DVD I hear it spinning around but then it ejects.

I have a program called Free Memory.It shows you how much available RAM you have left to use. Last week, my available RAM, which is usually somewhere between 3GB-5GB, was down at about 250MB! I checked the RAM usage in Activity Monitor, and it showed that Quicktime was using about 5GB of RAM. Yes 5GB.I closed Quicktime and the RAM jumped back up.I reopened it and I could actually watch as my RAM just poured off. In less than 2 minutes, it went from 5GB available to about 100 MB again.Today, the same thing happened, but the RAM sucker was Shockwave. Has anybody heard of this happening before? If so, what is the solution?Here is some more info. In the "console" I often get these --- Exception Type:

This is what I hate about osx. On windows I could install a codec pack and it works the way it should. I tried installing both the divx web player and divx 7 for mac on my new SL machine, but whenever i go to a website that needs it, nothing happens.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to log onto the sirius online radio and it keeps saying username error/password incorrect blah blah blah. When I try to log in on my windows it works just fine. This doesn't seem to me a plugin error because I can't even get past the login server apparently. I don't know whats going on I tried calling sirius and they just told me to call Mac. I figured I would ask here just in case someone has had this problem before.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased my imac in late June 2011 and updated software to Lion in July. Everything worked fine until December 2011 and the flash player disappeared. I have tried to install the adobe flash player they recommend for Lion and it will not install. I then read a post from Klaus 1 who gave the links and said to install adobe shockwave which I did and it worked for about 1 hour then it disappeared.

I have had my macbook pro 10.6.5 for over 2 years and have never had this problem. But this morning I tried to use my webcam with flash player online and it wouldn't work. I have spent about 2 hours reinstalling browsers, flash player and repairing permissions in disk utility but still no video.
The iSight does work in Photobooth and iMovie but for some reason when I select it in the Adobe Flash Player Settings nothing happens. The green light doesn't even go on.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can try next?
I am studying abroad in France this semester so do not have my OS installation disks with me. I do have a time machine backup though

After I wake up my MacBook Pro from sleep and click on DVD player, it won't read the DVD. I get an error message. I have to log out and sign back in for it to work. My MBP does display the DVD on the desktop after wakeup, it's just the DVD player program that doesn't work.
how to fix this?
My DVD player on my Imac is not longer working...I put a disk in of some video and it stopped responding and then would not eject...I rebooted and held down the eject key and eventually got it out..but the DVD player no longer works...

Installed Leopard and everything has been going great until I tried Divx player. So I deleted it and reinstalled a newer version and still does not work at all. However, I'm still able to use VLC. Anybody else having problems with Divx player and Leopard?

Basically, whenever I go to a site such as [URL] the box where the movie should be just says: Click Here to Download Plugin, and whenever I click to download it, the automatic download fails and I have to go to the manual download. Well, that all works fine (I've tried both the .dmg and the .zip files) until it opens the Adobe Flash Page after the download and installation are complete, and I still get that message that I need to download the plugin that I definitely JUST downloaded and installed.
This has been going on for a very annoying two weeks now, and I've even gone through my desktop and deleted a bunch of my stuff in order to free up my memory and get my computer running a tad bit faster, but that didn't do anything. Frankly, I'm annoyed, and just one step from taking my computer to the store and getting them to look at it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably [URL] I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.

why doesn't adobe flash player work in my mac? as i've installed it quite a few times but the problem is still same. i have OS X 10.9.3. i even tried uninstalling all the old files related to the flash player and restarted the machine. i have been getting this problem for a few days only.
View 1 Replies View Relatedabout 3 or 4 days ago while surfing on YouTube I suddenly noticed that I can no longer press anything on the player anymore, no matter where on the flash application I press, it always just pauses the video. Even when I go over the volume control or the play button, they don't highlight in red anymore.
This is very annoying since I can't control the volume, fast forward, rewind, set higher resolution, click the google ads away... nothing works It just pauses the video when I click.
I emptied the cash of Chrome and restarted my Mac but nothing works.
I tried Safari and YouTube still works properly there.
I am using the latest version of Chrome (Beta 5.0.342.9).
Does anyone have a similar problem?
My flash player becomes black after the advertisement has played. I have this problem for all kind of internet sites like on official TV websites. No problem with youtube. The player always used to work but all of a sudden it stopped. This problem persists on safari and firefox. I have Mac OS X Mavernick version 10.9.3.
I have tried the following
- install newest version of flash player
-Empty chache: library> cache> adobe> flashplayer
- Open Safari with 32bit
- Reset safari
- internet plug-ins are allowed (safari> preferences> allow plug ins
- Java skript in safari preferences is enabled
- cookies are removed
- the flash player does not work for the guest user neither
- Safari Extensions are off
- My installed plug-ins are: Quick time player / Shockwave Flash / Silverlight Plug-In /
I have an iMac and a Mac Book Pro. On the iMac, Flash Player works fine on Youtube, etc. EXCEPT within Facebook. When I click on a video within Facebook it appears to load the viewing pane but the video never starts. No error messages. I have reinstalled Maverick OS/X, done a clean uninstall/reinstall of Adobe Flash Player, checked all settings, still have the problem.
