Feb 12, 2012Everytime I log onto my ebay account I have to fill in using username and password. This is repeated despite the fact that Ive ticked the box. Very annoying.

However, in a bid to recoup some of the large outlay, I was seeking to list lots of things on eBay this weekend. However, at what appeared to be almost every other key stroke/action I was returned to the home screen and asked for my login details again, and again, and again! Clicking the 'remember me' box made no difference whatsoever.

Jul 15, 2006I'm not sure I'm posting to the right forum, but I figure I'd start here. I am interested in selling my Oct. 2005 Revision PowerBook G4 (1.67 ghZ 15") so that I can upgrade to a MacBook Pro before I leave for college. The easiest and most cost efficent way to do this would be through selling on eBay and using PayPal to accept payment. However, sites such as PayPalWarning.com have really given me the willies about doing it this way. I really am in no mood to have my reputation tarnished and my account left in significant debt while some fraudster buyer has my PowerBook and my money. Does anyone have any advice? Are these rare instances or are these common stories, in your experience? Is there a better way to sell on eBay, or the computer in general? I have a price in mind for what I want for it, and thus eBay or an equivilent seems the best way to go, rather than a resale shop.

May 26, 2009I have two iBooks with bad logic boards, which may or may not be caused by the GPU issue that so many G3s suffer from.
So I was on ebay looking for logic boards and I came across a couple of postings for logic board repair. It sounded like most of them will just resolder the points on the GPU, if thats the problem you have, if not they tell you they can't fix it and charge you nothing, or so their ad says.
The deal is you pay $50 over paypal, ship the computer cross country, they do the work ship it back and voila...
Has anyone ever done this? Is it a scam?
Sure paypal can protect my $50, but if I ship them the computer I may never see it again. Even though it's busted it's worth something...
MacBook Pro :: Legit Applecare Seller On Ebay Needed
May 8, 2010I thought my apple care one year expired on June 10 but it expires on May 10th. Which gives me only a couple days to get it. I am not near any physical apple dealers, I drove 2 hours today to buy one from a classified and it was for a 13 inch not a 15 inch, I am so upset. and today was the only day I had to find it.
I have to buy the code so I can do it online. I was going to buy it from one of the sellers on ebay but I read how there are scams out there. Can anyone recommend a legit seller who they have purchased apple care from and had no issues. I called apple and tried to buy the code but they have to ship it and it won't make it in time and there is no grace period.
OS X :: Safari Works In One Account On Macbook But Not On Other
Apr 12, 2009So I recently downloaded the beta for safari and a couple weeks later out of no where it became compeltly unresponsive, I just get a spinning beach ball when I try to open it. I have attempted to uninstall it and go back to safari 3, unistall and reinstall the beta and I either way I get nothing. I even used time machine to go back and it still wont work. Luckily I had firefox installed so I am using this now. Either way I want Safari back though. I created a test user on my macbook just to see if safari would work and sure enough it works fine on this new test log in. So what does this mean and how can I fix it to work on my normal account?

Jun 19, 2014After installing the Safari update 7.0.4, Safari stopped working in my regular user account. It still works in my Admin account and in another regular user account. I reinstalled OSX Mavericks but that seems to have had no impact.
Instead of opening, the icon in the dock bounces for a long time, then it just stops. The menu bar never changes.
Another app -- Citrix Receiver -- also stopped working in this account, it opens but it cannot connect to the network; this app too does work in the other regular user account.
