It worked when we first bought the computer (a few months ago). I've updated the MacBook Air software and re-installed Lego Digital Designer and it still doesn't work.

I've been using a 3TB western digital hard drive flawlessly for months now. I'm posting here because the only thing that has changed within the time frame of my WD hard drive no longer working is updating my Lion install to 10.7.3. When I plug my WD hard drive into either of my macs (which are both running 10.7.3 , one is a macbook, the other an iMac) the external hard drive shows up on my desktop, and within 5 seconds will disconnect itself and I'll then get a warning telling me that I didn't eject my hard drive properly. I was starting to think it was my USB or power cable until I plugged the WD external into my old Compaq laptop that I'm running Linux on and it worked flawlessly!

I just bought the Harry Potter Lego Years 5-7 off the App Store but it's been downloading for 45 minutes and hasn't made any progress what so ever. I tried pausing it and then unpausing to keep downloading but it still won't do anything.

I finally grudgingly installed Lion and have had NOTHING but problems ever since! Now my CS 4 apps won't open. I get the message Your license is no longer working - error 150:30 Apple support could not help me. I went to Adobe support online and tried all the fixes they list none of which work.Â

My email has been working just fine until a couple of months ago. I gave up however I do miss receiving email on my MacBook Pro. I'm receiving my emails using my iPhone and if I log in to yahoo! however it stopped working with Apple Mail. I have not changed any of the settings so I am puzzled why it is no longer working. For the last couple of months I've been trying to figure out why but I've had no luck. Â

recently (the last week or so) my computer has stopped recognizing my digital camera. I have a G5 running in version 10.4.6 and a Fujifilm FinePix 460 camera. I had never had any problems before, usually I would plug in the camera and it would show up in iPhoto and on the desktop right away, but now no matter what I do, it won't connect. The camera says it is connected, but not the computer. I have tried switching around the plugs in the back, and also restarting, etc... but nothing's working...

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use a Toslink connection and iTunes to listen to music files through two different audio systems. After the latest OS update the digital optical connection has ceased to work. I've tried it with another computer running an older OS and it works fine, no issues on either audio system.Â
Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to resolve it? I've spent 2 days with Apple Senior Tech Support and it's still not working.

The sound output in my Macbook Pro has been going in and out now for a number of months. And yesterday it finally got stuck on "Digital Output" meaning when I take out headphones from the jack, the internal speakers do not work. I am planning on taking it in and wanted to know, since I am still under warranty will Apple repair it, or give me a new one?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally upgraded from my 15" PowerBook 1.67 to the new 13" MacBook Pro 2.66. On the PowerBook I would usually run an external display using a single link DVI cable. I have read about the issues with the apple mini display adapters not working on DVI-I or non fully digital displays, but since I had been running the external via single link DVI (digital correct?) I figured that I wouldn't run into any problems. I did some troubleshooting with what I had and plugged my computer into my TV through the mini display adapter to a single link DVI to HDMI cable and all worked fine. Do you think that a dual link DVI cable could solve the problem connecting to my monitor? Or is my monitor flat out incabable? Third party adapter? Worst case I could just go VGA, though I don't want to. My monitor is a Sceptre x20.

Yesterday my macbook's wifi started getting really slow to the point where it takes 10 minutes to load a webpage. I reseted my router and everything but it was still slow. Then I noticed that my iMac and Ipod touch had full internet speed and everything. What happened? I didn't do anything different from my normal routine at all.
I was running on old firmware for my macbook and decided to attach an ethernet cable to get the latest and greatest but it didn't fix the problem.
I have two POP email accounts that have been working quite well on my MacBook for several months. About a week ago one of them stopped receiving emails. I have deleted the account and set it up again to no avail. If I check the account information it lists all the emails on the server. I can open it on my browser and the mail is being delivered just fine there - just not on my imail account. The two email accounts that I have are set up the same and only one is receiving mail.

I just recently upgraded my 2010 macbook pro RAM. I went from 4gb to 6gb and now my backlit keyboard is no longer working. I have tried messing with the keyboard settings as well as the F5 and F6 buttons. The keyboard does not even come on in low lit conditions. Why is my backlit keyboard no longer working?

am using a Rev A MBA, and I just noticed that after the 10.5.6 update, I have lost the functionality of the pinch gesture when trying to enlarge/reduce icons ? both on the desktop and finder. Still works in all other areas like photos or webpages.
Anybody else notice this?
I've been using my M Mouse successfully with my MacBook until recently when the Mouse Pointer no longer moves. The button does engage the dashboard and if I position the cursor using the MacBook trackpad, then the click function of the mouse does work. I have tried changing the batteries. It appears I am having a similar problem when I use a wired mouse. Just in case it's connected, I run Parallels and did recently upgrade Windows software.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout 3 days ago I noticed that right clicking on items was becoming increasingly difficult to do. The system would only register about 75% of my right clicks. Later that day the left click stopped working almost entirely. When I go to drag items, I either get no response or the pointer will grab the item briefly and then let it go after moving a very short distance. It does seem to work when I put a significant amount of pressure on the trackpad when clicking but I've seen some horror threads about trackpads cracking so I'm attempting to avoid applying too much pressure.

Recently I had a issue with my macbook pro so I had it repaired at the Apple Store(problem with the display). They replaced the logicboard(2nd time in 4 months) and the battery. Now after taking it hope and plugging in my external speakers into the headphone jack I get this weird thump sound. It happens twice and I'll watch the audio strength at the top right. Each time it goes from like it's working to a gray color as if it's not or locked. If I try to play something like music with the jack in my entire screen freezes and I have to restart my computer entirely for it to work. Btw there is no red light in the headphone jack. The last time I had the logic board replaced it was a sound problem.

I've read several threads where people have been having trouble with this, but nothing has been resolved so far? I've got a 2ghz core duo mac mini running OS 10.6.4. I used to be able to stream digital output from it, but I cant anymore & it's driving me around the bend. I have tried new cables, different combinations of sources of audio, cables, inputs on my AV receiver and everything is in good working order apart from the digital out on my mac.
It will play analogue stereo fine, it will play from the built-in speakers, but it will not play the optical digital stream. As I said before, it used to do this fine, until one day it just stopped working, it kind of 'faded out' and never came back. The light still shines when the toslink cable is plugged in and the output switches to digital in system prefs, but nothing is being received by the AV receiver.
I have a 17" unibody MBP (most current version) with 10.6.4, and I downloaded the recent firmware updates for the MBP's. Before I did this, the mini port to HDMI video/audio output was working perfectly, I could watch anything right off my MBP. After installing the updates, when I plug in the cable, my MBP flickers, goes blue, and then comes back, but the TV does not detect the signal from the laptop. In the Display and Sound menus in System Preferences, there's no option to set up a second display like there was before.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a 23" used HD Cinema display the other day along with the ADC-DVI and DVI-Mini Display adapters. I had it hooked up and it was working perfectly for 3 days. Today my wife tried to connect her Macbook accidentally via the USB that is part of the ADC-DVI adapter which didn't work (why is that USB there anyway?). Then when she went to connect the external display back to my Macbook Pro it did not wake up after being connected.
I have tried resetting the PRAM on the MBP and have disconnected and re-connected all connections but nothing will get the display working with the MBP anymore. When I connect and disconnect the mini-display plug into the MBP the MBP flashes the blue screen as it appears to be reacting, but that's it. I can't detect any display when I go into the display system preferences. Does anyone know how I can get the Apple Cinema display working again?
I have a western digital passport ehd with HFS+ formattnig on my mbp. It was working fine for months. I tried always to properly eject it, but occasionally I would meess up and improperly eject if like the HD fell off my lap and the cord came undone or something. Anyway, I think I really got myself in a pickle now. I was either downloading something and then forcequit which caused it, or restarted finder, or something where now my EHD is not even recognized. when plugged in to the usb it looks like it is recognized on system profiler as "vendor-specific" on disk utility it was recognized once and I didn't take the opportunity to try and repair, but instead tried to save data... bad move - now it doesn't even pick up on disk utility - just shows my internal hd. I tried resetting the PRAM - i don't know exactly what that does but I read I should try that somewhere.
