Feb 6, 2009Word 2008 is driving me crazy. I'm writing a thesis, very basic, no strange graphics or whatever, but the damn thing crashes a lot of times. I have the latest updates and have done a few uninstall/install cycles + usual mac stuff (delete preferences, repair permissions) but to no avail. How does it work for you ? When I used the 2004 version it run much smoother. I could switch back, but while Office 2004 came from "unknown" sources I have a legal purchased copy of Office 2008 which I'd like to use.

Aug 6, 2008I own an older version of Office for Mac. Clicking word, it says version X Clicking Office it says version X. It works fine with tiger. If I upgrade to leopard, will it still work? I'd rather not to have to buy the newest 2008 version.

Feb 4, 2007For some reason spell check does not work on my mac. I have Microsoft Word 2004 and as far as I can see I have the spell check on and it should be functioning correctly. No matter how many words I spell incorrectly, I'll hit Check Spelling, and it'll say that there aren't an errors. I click ok and that's it.

Jun 4, 2012I paid for and downloaded the Lion my version is 10.7.4?My MS word is no longer supported. I am freaking out because of my college papers. I apparently didn't read directions too much to see it would no longer support. I am willing to buy new Microsoft word so it's supported if I can do so. Any suggestions or tips would help. I went to App Store to purchase but I have no clue on what to buy. Nothing on my computer that is MS is supported. I just need to be able to email some documents to other people that is MS word and write my papers on ms word. Â

OS X :: Using Microsoft Word For Macs - How To Delete A Text Box In A Word Document
Aug 24, 2009I have a Mac OS X version 10.5.7 i am working on Word 2008 for Mac, version 12.0.1 (080305).
My problem, i created one text box in a document, somehow 2 more appeared. I made the mistake of thinking that to delete the extra text boxes, i simply highlight them and delete them. Silly stupid me, nothing that simple exists and i have wasted an hour trying to figure it out. The help button does squat, barely gives you any info on a text box much less trying to delete it. Does anyone know how to delete a text box in a word document?
