View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the developers iOS 6 Beta on my iPhone 4s. I need the latest iTunes 10.6.3 to sync with iTunes. I went to www.itunes.com as it told me to and I went to the downloads page. Usually you enter your email and click the download button. My problem is there is is no download button or email box! I need to download the latest iTunes and I can't. I did a software update, but it does include iTunes I tried it on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, all coming up with the same thing. I am also using a Mac.

It downloads today's two updates to Snow Leopard (iTunes10.6.3 and AirPort Utility 5.6.1) and then proceeds with the progress bar which reaches a point 2/3 of the way and never progresses after 30 minutes. At that time, it keeps alerting that the installations failed.

I have a mac OSX version 10.5.8 and i was trying to install the ilife 11 i just bought and was super excited about but when i tryed to download ilife 11 it said i needed to update my computer, so i went and downloaded the updates but my mac still says its the same version! and ilife wont install... I tried to go back and install the updates again but there not there it says I'm all updated! but 10.5.8 is not the latest version right ? What should I do?

My daughter is planning to update her Leopard system to Snow Leopard. She will buy the disc and proceed with the install. Will she need to install each of the updates from 10.6 to 10.6.8 individually using software update? Or can she simply use the combo updater? I installed each when it appeared, so am unsure as to what to tell her about doing it all at once.

For whatever reason, when I installed Snow Leopard it did not automatically install the updates for the printer drivers already installed in my computer.
I then tried to manually install the printer drivers using the SL disk and still no luck. The printers that I use are both wireless and work when they are connected with USB. Am I missing something? I'm reading all over about how people have made the upgrade with no problems at all so I'm there's got to be something I'm not doing.
My iMac hard drive died and I got a new one installed from Apple and my dad's friend installed Leopard for me and he started to download and install the updates from Apple and I don't know if he stopped the install midway but when I tried to download and install them NONE of them install. I called Apple and they told me to try something in Disk Utility with "verify disk" and it didn't work still and then they sent me something about trying to Archive and Installing but it seems really complicated. Is there anything else I can try?

When I check for software updates only itunes and random other updates show up but not security updates or safari update. When i check installed updates I realized my last security update was 2011-004 and I still have safari 5.0.6.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 2008 5th generation black macbook. It's a good 4 years old, so I figured I'd wipe my computer all together and reinstall os x. Once I did, everything is working fine until I do the software updates. Safari even looks like it's from 2008 lol. The issue is, it downloads the updates fine, but once it restarts and begins the actual install, it gets to the point where it's "Configuring update" and completely stops in it's tracks. I've tried letting it do its thing and walked away, because maybe it would actually take a while but no, the blue progress bar is in the same exact point. So I'm stuck with leopard 10.5.2

Or do you imagine this will be held off until iLife 10? iLife features some of the most resource intensive apps (iMovie, Garage Band, iPhoto) used by most users so I believe that Apple could really showcase the improvements brought to Snow Leopard from both OpenCL and Grand Central by doing this asap. Here's to hoping we don't have to wait long for this functionality.

I need to update it and it wonk work. It is the earlier version of the Macbook Pro. I also have some audio problems like when I up the sound it has a cross and says its full. the only way to fix this is to do -SLEEP- and put in headphones then open it.

This just started yesterday, I was trying to send an email and computer froze. Only way to quit apps was command tab Q...but computer was still frozen, had to hold power button to restart then happened again several times, It may have to do with hitting return or using the numberic keypad. Ideas anyone? Maybe alittle off subject but my computer will not mount dvd's as of 2 weeks ago...I'm under warranty, but live in the middle of nowhere.I did repair permissions and verify disk.

After that I kept doing google searches, and I noticed that when I clicked on link a specific site of an association that is legit, it redirected me to one of those shady pharmacy website. So that was weird.I reset safari,came here, then I got the anti flashback tool, my mac seemed cleared. I got clamxav. I checked www.dns-ok.us. I am a very happy mac owner and recently decided to upgrade our studio workhorse to 10.6.2. The update process went flawless, the machine however felt very sluggish afterwarths. I went on this excellent board to seek some help and found a little cleaning tool that solved a lot of the problems but only left the machine slightly less sluggish.So now I completely reinstalled the machine and I am still having the feeling it is sluggish .
Let me explain my setup:
8-core 3.0ghz, 4GB RAM (4 dimms, apple mem, replaced once), 4 x500gb spinpoints in a 3xdisk raid 0 volume and 1 HD for the OS.
The main purpose of the machine is running Cinema4D 11.5 and After Effects CS3. There is no illegal software on the machine and everything is filed and backupped in a professional way. I know it is a bit short on RAM but for now it works nicely. Now my problem is that Expose feels sluggish meaning it takes 3 second for it to pop up and as soon as I save something I can wait for another 3-5.
I closely monitor my RAM through istat and I know everything will grind to a halt if it comes above 71% total memory usage, in my case this always happens. It feels like there is a permanent After Effects render running!I don't know what to do because I already reinstalled the OS to a formatted HD.I hope this excellent community is able to answer my questions.
I am having problems with programs automatically shutting down when I try to open them. The problems are with ITunes and Skype. I know that Skype is an internet program, and this might be a problem, but I never had this happen before... EVER. iTunes only starts up half way, then it brings up an error box.
I had no problems until I updated in Feburary. Can I uninstall the last update and restore to the old one?

This past Monday I arrived home after two weeks to find a bunch of updates waiting, which I happily installed. One was for the Time Machine/AirPort and the rest for the iMac. The computer would not restart after the updates. After spending the weekend reinstalling the system software and rebuilding the whole computer I went to restore from the Time Machine (but no!) and the Mac no longer communicated with the printer wirelessly. I think I figure out the Time Machine thing but I cannot print wirelessly even though the Mac says the printer is installed. I have a Brother MFC-J825DW?
