After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Leopard I get an alert every single hour that says 'Preference Sync Client' has unexpectedly quit. Searching around Google and the Apple site I can find absolutely no reference for this application/service. I'm assuming it must be an Apple file ... I am wondering if I just need to track down a copy of it and replace mine -- is that safe?
File is located here:/System/Library/CoreServices/PreferenceSyncClient.app/Contents/MacOS/PreferenceSyncClient
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Any ideas of where to start looking to solve this problem?
For reasons I cannot understand, Safari 5.1.5 on Lion has begun to fail at start-up. On every occasion I try to start I get a page that says "Safari Quit Unexpectedly." The Problem Report suggests Restarting, but the same thing occurs. Should I uninstall Safari and reinstall from an Apple download?
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.2), Networked to 2 Win7 units.
I have this problem on my iMac three months now. I tried lot of thinks to fix this problem but I faild. The problem is that, when I want to install a package (.pkg) or update something the installer quits unexpectly.

I am running iTunes 10.6 on my iMac with OS X Lion. iTunes has worked flawlessly for years. Then yesterday it refused to sync either my iPod Nano or iPod Classic. It quits unexpectedly if you push the "sync" button. I was going to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, but I can't figure out how to uninstall. How to stop this crashing issue?
Cannot send problem to apple since the program isn't useable. When I attempt "relaunch" I get the same message again. It tells me "the application mail quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected"Â
Info: MacBook Pro (17-inch 2.4 GHz), Mac OS X (10.5.8)
My mail application does not open anymore. It appears on the dock, but neither opens, nor does it close. Also, can't get the Mac to shut down, as it says the app is still open. I have OS X 10.6.8 Snow leopard.
After installing Lepord 10.7.4 I have lost the Display resolution except for 1920 x 1200 and 960 x 600. Neither of these is acceptable for my iMac. Before downloading 10.7.4 I had all kinds of resolutions shown in System Preference Display. How can I can I get back to them?

For the past few days, whenever I try to open itunes, a dialogue box pops up and says, "The application iTunes quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."
I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it using a new dmg, but it still says this. I also tried uninstalling Flip4Mac and taking out the plug-ins from users/*user*/library/itunes/itunes plug-ins.
apologies if this has been answered else-where but Ive looked and found no solutions. My problem is that I cannot access network preferences. I can access system preferences and turn my airport on/off via the toolbar, but I cannot actually open the network preferences without system preferences unexpectedly quitting. I have to access my universities VPN to read an e-book for an exam, so this is quite frustrating right now,
It happened 3 times today and at most 20 times within the last 3 months. When using Quick Look to view movie files, the movie freezes and the Finder restarts. Kinda annoying. No error message shows up after the restart.
When I try to launch iChat, the icon bounces once, then I am informed that "The application iChat quit unexpectedly." Clicking the "Relaunch" button twice gives me the option to "Reset and relaunch," but that does not help either.
iChat runs fine within another user account on the same machine.
I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a 15" MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
I installed parallels 3.0 on my macbook. after install i double-click the app, then it says parallels "unexpectedly quit". I try to relaunch, and change settings and relaunch. Nothing seems to work.
i have skype 2.8 beta installed. but my problem started from the previous version.
i seem to be able to use skype fine for audio and video calls, but for text chats it quits unexpectedly. this becomes specifically annoying when i'm in the middle of a conversation with someone and then one of my contacts attempts to send me a chat text message so it basically makes the whole app quit and interrupts my call
you said that you 'cracked' the reason behind this,
This has happened to my laptop once before and I had to replace my hard drive. First of all I'm running Tiger 10.4.11 with Safari 4.1.3. Basically I'll just be online, using Safari and suddenly it "quits unexpectedly." There's no one thing that I do that makes this happen either. The same thing was happening a while back and it began happening more an more frequently until my computer wasn't running and I had to replace my hard drive. Now its happening again!

I am running 10.7.3 on two different machines. Some time ago Mail started quitting unexpectedly at least once a day on both machines. I have rebuilt the directories but this has not improved the behavior.

I upgraded to OSX Lion and then installed all software upgrades. Though my SAFARI works when i browse normal stuff, it crashes when i try to connect to my work remotely. I never had this problem previously before OS upgrade. This what I see the moment SAFARI quits.
