View 1 RepliesI've been having an issue with my flash player for a long time now. Basically, whenever I go to a site such as [URL] the box where the movie should be just says: Click Here to Download Plugin, and whenever I click to download it, the automatic download fails and I have to go to the manual download. Well, that all works fine (I've tried both the .dmg and the .zip files) until it opens the Adobe Flash Page after the download and installation are complete, and I still get that message that I need to download the plugin that I definitely JUST downloaded and installed.
This has been going on for a very annoying two weeks now, and I've even gone through my desktop and deleted a bunch of my stuff in order to free up my memory and get my computer running a tad bit faster, but that didn't do anything. Frankly, I'm annoyed, and just one step from taking my computer to the store and getting them to look at it.
I have an Imac G5
Model: PowerMac8.2
CPU Type: Power PC G5 (3.0)
-I have Mac OS 10.2.8 - and am trying to download Adobe Flash Player 9
-- Each time, I try to install it, and it stalls...with four additional components to install...and it just keeps running, never installing the four remaining components.
-- I tried downloading the Adobe Extensions Manager (version 1.8), because I found some posts relating to the problem I am having with Flash Player, but when I tried to run the em_install.dmg, I got an error about it failed to mount due to error 95, (no mountable file system)? so I stopped trying to go this route.
I have had a MacMini for about 2 months now, and use brand new Creative brand speakers to plug into it. Everything has worked fine, but this morning as I went onto a band's MySpace page I was informed that the music could not be played without installing a newer version of Adobe Flash Player. So I clicked the link and went through the installation and sure enough now the MySpace music player came up. Unfortunately, I noticed there was no sound coming out of my speakers. First, I checked each plug, but still no sound. Second, I reinstalled Adobe Flash Player for Mac (from the Adobe website), but it still didn't work. Third, I took the audio plug connecting my speakers and MacMini out and noticed that the music was playing through my MacMini, but when I plugged it back in I noticed that it wasn't coming through my external speakers. Dumbfounded, I plugged my iPod in through the Aux In on my speakers and noticed it worked perfectly fine. Finally, I switched audio cables connecting my MacMini and my Creative brand speakers and it still didn't work! What is going on here?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had to get a new iPhone because my last one died. I've purchased all of my music through iTunes and got the majority of the songs back on my phone. About 50 songs won't transfer back though. I tried drag and dropping and checking the sync music button and re-syncing my phone and nothing has worked. All the songs are downloaded and in iTunes, but nothing is working. Does anyone know why they won't transfer?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a PowerMac G5 computer, running OSX Version 10.4.11. Up until yesterday, the computer performed flawlessly. Suddenly, yesterday, I get a message from Firefox (the browser I usually use), telling me that my Flash Player had been disabled because I did not have the most up-to-date version of Adobe Flash Player. When I investigated, I found out that the newest version was NOT compatible with my computer. So I tried reinstalling the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player that IS compatible and have had no success. When I go in to System Preferences and click on the Adobe Flash Player pane (under other), I get a message reading "could not load Adobe Flash Player." Someone out there must know how to handle this. I'm not in a position to purchase a new computer, and I desperately need Flash Player for some of the websites I use quite often.

I was trying to watch videos on facebook but I was unable to due to the fact that it said that adobe flash player was out of date. I therefore uninstalled adobe flash player and tried to reinstall it from adobe's website. When I try to reinstall it, the icon bounces at the bottom of the page but does not open. Everytime I have done this, it says the "application not responding".Â

Adobe Flash installer completes successfully, but web sites requiring Flash still say that I need to install Flash. None of the relevant files are present, and the Adobe diagnostic page shows only empty boxes where the Flash version should be listed. This problem occurs with Safari 5.1.4 and 5.1.5 running on Mac OS 10.6.8?

Have big problems with YouTube playing. YouTube won't play, won't download the movie. The screen is black and in the middle is runing the circle for hours if you won't.I tried to reinstall the Adobe's Flash player, but I have the same problem. I also tried to clear all cookies, but problem is the same.
I think, that problem is realy in Flash player because once error appear, but I can't remember it.
Lion 10.7.3 on a new mac mini. I learned about the Flashback trojan virus, I disabled Java in Safari preferences as per tech articles, I have all the updates including the Flashback removal tool. I go to NPR.org to listen to some audio podcasts as well as other news articles and I get a notice "You need to install Adobe Flash Player v.8 to view item." My understanding is Java is needed for me to use Adobe Flash Player using Safari on my new mac mini Will I ever be able to view these numerous sites requiring Adobe Flash safely with my new Apple computer?

I recently uninstalled Norton Antivirus, however it still shows that it is on my computer. I will do a search for it and it asks where it is located. I am trying to download the newest version of Flash-player but I can't download it because I supposedly need to disable the antivirus software that I have that I already uninstalled.

I am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably [URL] I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.
