When I try to sync a movie with my ipod touch it wont let me, the movie title is grey out. The format of the movie is correct and it lets me sync all my other movies. I have also tried this with my ipod video and I have the same problem.
View 2 RepliesI have used itunes for years. For the first time I have actually bought a movie from itunes (glengary glenross). I synced my iphone 4 to get the movie on my phone so I could watch it on my phone during slow times at work. However I cannot get the movie to sync? So all my other movies which were ripped with handbrake work fine. I have those under the "movie" catergory and they are fine and sync fine. This purchased movie will not go to my phone. It does show under my "purchased" playlist with all the songs I have bought. However it isn't showing in my iphone under the playlist! I can play the movie fine off of my macbook and even moved it to my movie category with the rest of the movies. I have "include movies from playlists" checked under movies when snycing but it doesn't show on my iphone. I have looked thru and spotlight searched it and no go What am I doing wrong on this itunes purchased movie?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been attempting to sync my iPod touch for a while now, everytime I do it crashes just as it begins the actual sync section.
Only recently i noticed the error message "searching for movie data in file..." I have searched through finder and my external harddrives and time machine and this file doesn't actually exist.
The error message does have a cancel and a search button on it but i am unable to press them as all i get is the spinning pinwheel of death when i hover over the itunes window.
It's really really frustrating is there a way of telling itunes not to looking or sync this file before i actually sync my ipod.
rented a movie and paid for it, cost was deducted but no record of purchasing movie anywhere

We have .3gp recordings. All of a sudden, we started getting this error on some of our computers. Example: I want to play test.3gp; I try to open test.3gp in QuickTime, and I get an error that reads...
"Error -2002: A bad public movie atom was found in the movie:test.3gp" But when I go to play test2.3gp, it plays fine. This issue varies from computer to computer. I get this error on all three of my machines. 2 Windows 7 64bit, and 1 Windows 7 32bit. My colleague and boss can play test.3gp fine through QuickTime on their computers. One is Windows 7 64bit the other is 32bit.
Anyone know some causes of this and hopefully a way to solve it? I tried cleaning up registry errors, running as administrator, updating, reinstalling... Nothing is working.

When viewing a movie file in my browser in Leopard, I was able to right click on it and save a copy to my desktop/computer. Now, I can't seem to enable this option...I have no way of saving a movie to my computer. Am I missing something? How does one do this now, do I need to click on a specific spot?
My Mac won't automatically play an mp4. It comes up with an error message saying "This movie could not be opened. This is not a movie file:. What am I missing? I understand it should just automatically play...

This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.

My subscription is to end soon and I am thinking about extending. That would be another 25 USD for a year or 65 USD for life long subscription. Meanwhile I encountered another product called Busy Sync. I does almost the same (except contact syncing). With a coupon a single license per computer is 20 USD aka 40 USD for both of my macs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?

I went "Slide Show" --> "Record Narration"
Worked fine. I then went "File" --> "Save as Movie"
The resulting *.mov file was fine, but the narration was missing.
I have been using iMovie 09 and iDVD to make DVDs but I'm really disappointed with the quality. I use a Samsung HD camera called Samsung H104 (in europe) and it records in full HD 1920 x 1080. What way is best to get good quality on a DVD? I have a fairly new MacBook Air (from sept) but I usually use my iMac (from 2008) to import and burn the DVDs. The quality I get is really poor and everyone end up look quite overweight because of the widescreen.

I am trying to find out how to get video dimensions so I can use iSquint to convert them. When I right click and goto More Info, the dimensions for 90% of them aren't there. Is their a program that can do this easily? I'm trying to keep the aspect ratio when I convert movies. I have Adobe Premier Pro and even that doesn't give me the dimensions for some of them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an External USB HDD formatted in Mac OS Extended ( Journaled ) connected to my iMac. on this external HDD I have approx 150GB of movies, ( avi ) that I would now like to transfer to my sisters PC's external USB HDD , which is formatted in NTFS .
I do not have any more external HDD's that I can use to transfer the files , I was trying to think of a way to directly by wire , transfer the avi files from the iMac's external HDD to the PC's external HDD
Can any one think of a way to do the transfer with out too much messing about ..?
This baffles me in terms of GB's. I imported a legal DVD to burn off Mactheripper in GB that was 2.7. turning it into a VT file. I then used cinimitize 2.0 making them 3 files, 2 .mov files and 1 audio files. Turns out each segment at 40KB's, 30 segments in all. Then I import the .Mov files to Final Cut Express and when I convert the whole 2hr and 40 min movie out to a "quicktime file". After that I open up the new Final Cut Quicktime .Mov turns out to be 38GB's. I am turning it into hopefully a 30 min film, but I do not understand the math at all, and I simply dont get how a 2.4GB DVD turns into a 38GB Quicktime movie.
