I just installed Snow Leopard last week. I was trying to take photos in Photo Booth but got this message: You can't use this version of the application Photo Booth with this version of Mac OS X. I have version 2.0.2 of Photo Booth. I'm very untech and I have searched some forums. Do I need to upgrade to iLife 09 in order to use Photo Booth?
View 1 RepliesPhoto booth kept saying I could't open it because of the version I was in so I stumbled upon this fix. Drag photo booth off of your dock and you'll see the puff of smoke. Next, go to the macintosh HD and click applications. Then just drag photo booth from the list and put it onto your dock and it should work. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it worked for me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently updated to Snow Leopard. The transition went very well except for one thing. When I try to open up Photo Booth, it says that it is not compatible with this version of Mac OS X (10.6.1). It also states that it is Photo Booth 2.0.3. Just to let you know, I do not have the backup CD's at the moment.

I just upgraded 4.5 year old iMac from Tiger (10.4x) to Leopard (10.5.8) and now Photo Booth (v.2.0.3) doesn't load.

My Photo Booth application was acting very weird so I called Apple support and they told me Photo Booth was "broken" and the only way to fix it is to Archive and Install Leopard. I really don't want to go through all this trouble. So I was wondering if it would be possible to just wait for Snow Leopard to come out and then install Snow Leopard? Will Snow Leopard reinstall all my applications or will it just upgrade the OS, leaving the applications alone?

I have a Late 08 Unibody MBP, and I ordered 6gb (one 2gb and one 4gb) of Ram from OWC to install with Snow Leopard (super fast kitty ). So first I installed Snow Leopard with my orignal 2gb of Ram, and it was fine. Then, I installed the 6gb of Ram and it booted up fine and I checked "About this Mac" and it said "6gb of ddr3 ram" or something like that. So I thought all was well. It is running Leopard 2GB RAM, 64 BIT, 120 HD, BLUETOOTH, ECT. View 15 Replies View RelatedMy 2 week old, new mac pro has brought me much joy, I love it. However my son and my daughter, would very much like to play with the photo booth. Apples fire wire isight, is no longer produced and sells for big bucks in the used hardware arena.
Are their any of you out their that have any 3rd party webcams, that work well with photo booth? I know that their are plenty of plug and play usb webcams, that will work with the likes of ichat. But from what I have read is that photo booth is some what picky with usb web cams. Slow and unresponsive.
So, my photo booth booth effects are not working. They were working perfectly fine before, but now comic book, color pencil and pop art aren't the same. Any figure that its photographing looks black and comes out black. Theres no shading.

They are in the folder in Finder, but they don't show up so I can view them in-program. Just an odd thing I thought I would see if anyone has a fix for.Nothing major, just a minor annoyance.

Having looked at several sites including Apple I am still confused clicking on "about this MAC" on my MAC PRO 1.1 running 10.5.8 I get the following:
2X 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Nowhere do I find this item on either the OK or Not-OK list for full compatibility - I see references to "Core Duo" and similar but none to "Dual-Core". It seems that Snow Leopard will run but not take full advantage of capabilities. Also it seems that I have the old PCI bus ( it just says PCI no PCI 1 or PCI 2)and old graphics processor (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT:) Does anyone know where to get the graphics upgrade kit? B&H which has been suggested elsewhere has none

CandyBar 3.1.2 - Unstable, becomes unresponsive after some time. Cannot scroll through installed icons.
Glims - Installs, but doesn't show up in Safari preferences.
Inquisitor - Installs, but doesn't show up in Safari preferences.
DNS-323 NAS Samba access is also broken in Snow Leopard. I can confirm this.
