I have an iMac OS X 10.4.11. and my version of Photo Booth does not have a Camera Tab for me to connect an additional camera, it only allows me to use it's own built in camera. Is there any way to get an update to my Photo Booth so I can get this tab? I have checked Apple updates but I can't seem to find anything for Photo Booth.
I'm an illustrator, and I have enough need for photos of myself and various objects that I have a Nikon digital camera permanently mounted on a tripod in my studio. Is it possible to use Photo Booth as a viewfinder, so that I can see the camera's-eye-view of whatever I'm shooting? I know that literally, it can be done, because I currently use Photo Booth to shoot micro photos from a Celestron USB digital microscope. So why not input from a Nikon? Can it be done? If so, how?
When i open photobooth or Facetime, or any other programe to use my inbuilt camera it comes up with "no camera connected".One day it was working, i had no accidents that i recall that would have caused this to happen and there are no other issues just this!
I recently wiped my mac and photo booth no longer works. The application comes up but the loading symbol just goes round and round for hours and nothing happens, even the little green light doesn't come on. At the top of the mac screen in photo booth>camera section it says 'no camera available' but when i open my FaceTime the light comes on and camera works. How can i fix my photo booth??
When I try to open Photo Booth, I get the following message: "Photo Booth cannot open because the camera is in use by another application." There are no other applications running. I've restarted the computer, repaired permissions, reset the PRAM, and re-installed Photo Booth from the original disk. I also tried running Photo Booth from the Guest account. None of these actions have worked. I have an Intel iMac (20"), running OS 10.4.11 (Tiger).
I keep getting "camera disconnected " in photo booth i leave the computer in sleep mode most of the time.I have to restart, for the camera to work again then it disconnects itself when photo booth has not been used for a while ?
My Apple MacBook Air (OS X 10.9.3) is saying 'there is no connected camera' in both Photo Booth and FaceTime despite having a built-in integrated camera. The camera worked until I updated my laptop software I think. I have tried both the troubleshooting suggestions as given on the site and I have reset the SMC.
I'm trying to get a Macbook's iSight working. The Macbook is running Leopard, currently. When I go to open Photo Booth, I get the camera icon with a slash through it - indicating the camera isn't connected/available. The same problem happens with other applications. I don't believe it is listed in System Profiler, though if it was listed as something other than "iSight" I could have missed it.
I tried a few applications that are supposed to kick start it, reset the P Ram, reset the SMC, etc to no avail.
I have a problem with my camera on my 2.66GHz iMac.I was in Sofia (Bulgaria) for three days.I came back and sow that my camera wasn't working and this message appears in photo booth and skype: There is no connected camera .Is this a hardware problem,or a software one and how can I fix it?
I cant hear the audio when I am trying to playback a video on photo-booth, or trying to watch video's. But I can hear the audio on everywebsite I go to?
So I recently moved EVERYTHING from my old Mac desktop to my new one. When I record a video and then click to watch it, the recording screen will go black and the little color wheel will show up and long story short, I havent been able to watch any videos for a few days (for the first couple hours after the stuff on my old imac -> new imac, I could watch videos perfectly fine. Maybe its because I am currently updating iPhoto and its taking a veryyyy long time.) But...with my old iMac, I had about 10 slides of extra photobooth effects. It slowed down photobooth TREMENDOUSLY but I didnt know how to uninstall them.Unfortunately, those same effects have moved over to my new mac and its driving me nuts. I thought that was the culprit and tried uninstalling them. I cant do Library>Compositions>erase because when I do so, theres nothing there to delete!
For no reason my photo booth comes up with a camera with a line through it (Like no smoking signs) and the button won't work to take photos. I have run utilities and closed all other software but it still won't respond?
Info: I Mac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Canon 3 in one printer
I am using photo booth to record video I accidentally closed photo booth before I was done. Now I can't open the .mov file I keep getting err message The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands. What do I do?
Mine never has, and the lady from Apple support is saying it isn't supposed to! I know it is... please verify for me that your 'video recording' inside of Photobooth records audio along with video!
My 2 week old, new mac pro has brought me much joy, I love it. However my son and my daughter, would very much like to play with the photo booth. Apples fire wire isight, is no longer produced and sells for big bucks in the used hardware arena.
Are their any of you out their that have any 3rd party webcams, that work well with photo booth? I know that their are plenty of plug and play usb webcams, that will work with the likes of ichat. But from what I have read is that photo booth is some what picky with usb web cams. Slow and unresponsive.
So, my photo booth booth effects are not working. They were working perfectly fine before, but now comic book, color pencil and pop art aren't the same. Any figure that its photographing looks black and comes out black. Theres no shading.
I seem to having a problem with Photo Booth thats kinda weird. I take pictures with Photo Booth, but once they are taken they dont show up in the little row on the bottom. They are in the folder in Finder, but they don't show up so I can view them in-program. Just an odd thing I thought I would see if anyone has a fix for.Nothing major, just a minor annoyance.
Somebody posted a pic of them with new effects and said " I am loving these new photo booth effects." I dont have them and I would like them. How can i get them.
I just installed Snow Leopard last week. I was trying to take photos in Photo Booth but got this message: You can't use this version of the application Photo Booth with this version of Mac OS X. I have version 2.0.2 of Photo Booth. I'm very untech and I have searched some forums. Do I need to upgrade to iLife 09 in order to use Photo Booth?
