2 days ago, I unknowingly deleted a presentation because I put it into a folder and then accidentally deleted that folder when I was cleaning up my Desktop. Is there anyway I could get it back?
i'v just lost important files when my new backup on an external HD using Time Machine deleted and wrote over a previous one ... informing me after (!) deleting (and why not before) . Is there any means for me to recover these files : mainly pics and music?
So I've been using Keynote for about 4 years now, and somehow it's just not doing it as it did say 2 years back for me anymore. I understand that Flash is another avenue to look into for presentations, is that right?
When I click "Play" on my keynote presentation, the slides come up, but they only occupy the centre of the screen (eg: much smaller than the size of the screen).
I am not to Hot on this stuff so I will try and expalin as best as possible. I have found a streaming video which I want to download or copy/rip which ever is the best. When I right click the video it comes up with a Flash or Micromedia properties & I dont think it was made for people to download. I am assuming its a Windows based program behind it of some sort. What my aim is, is to be able to rip it & download it onto my Mac then have it on my Itouch. I dont mind paying for a decent program as there are quiet a few I would,nt mind doing.
The type of mac we use at our company is an iMac 7,1. There are tons of important files on it. During a routine email in mac mail it was taking a long time so I force quit mac mail. I waited a few moments and when I opened it back up mac mail was asking me to register like I had never used it before!I saved everything and restarted the computer and when the screen came up everything had gone! All my files are still here, thank god, but nothing's in the doc, the mail is asking to be registered, the printers are asking to be registered, and spotlight won't pull up any documents that I know are sitting right in front of me.
I've been asked to put together a very large PP presentation with hundreds of pictures. Putting all those pictures in the PPP one at a time is daunting. Does anyone know of a way to add them all at once or at least a bunch at a time? What I'd like to do is add all the pics into a single file and then import them into the PPP. Is this just wishful thinking?
All I can find on the subject is that if the pics are already in PP form from other presentations that they can be imported at once. Of course, that isn't the case in this situation.
I plan on getting the new iWork '09 and will be doing a Keynote presentation in a month or two. I have been looking for those remotes to advance and go back slides...
About 3 times a year I get to do a PowerPoint presentation, so I know just enough to get into trouble with it on my Mac. If we get to discussing any one slide too long, my Mac goes to sleep. All the PC guys say, "Hit F7" but this does not bring back the Mac, so I restart PowerPoint, and then the projector does not recognize the presentation or various other mishaps and gremlins appear. The Help files with PowerPoint have not been helpful to my searches, nor have the PC guys because they don't have a clue about Macs. How I can become the smooth PowerPoint expert (manuals, books, web sites, etc.).
For a group presentation someone in our group made the whole thing using iwork. Now we need it in powerpoint to present it to the class. She does not have powerpoint on her computer. Everytime she does "export to powerpoint" it does nothing. Are there any programs out there that can convert it, or, if I have access to a computer with both powerpoint and iwork will that help?
I am in the market for a remote control for switching through slides in both keynote and powerpoint. I would prefer something small, cheap (b/w $50 and $100) and with a built in laser pointer.
For a school project, I have to record a podcast, with pictures for emphasis. I'd like to record something on GarageBand(for effects, and easier use) rather than use the narration tool in Keynote. I have Keynote 09. I read on the internet that it's possible to put an mp3 file in there, but it stops on each slide. So what can I do? If it comes down to it, I guess I can play my mp3 file as a narration, but I don't really want to do that.
I have a macbook and an apple remote and an iPod touch. Is there any way that I can control pdf slideshow (through preview) from an iPod touch app / mac apps that controls the remote? My iRed Lite does not work with snow leopard anymore =(
I tried googling and couldn't find anything useful...
I use powerpoint for mac a lot and like to zoom during a presentation by holding the control button and slide two fingers across the trackpad, but that only seems to work if display mirroring is enabled. If it's running the two monitors side by side (presentation view mode), and I try to zoom, it zooms way off center or way off where the mouse cursor is. Does anyone know how to zoom the right way when in presentation mode?
We have a group of legacy apps running on Classic and we are moving to OS X 10.5 or 10.6. We want to see if there is a way to serve up the legacy app by using something like a Citrix Presentation Server or would I just have to do remote access. I am trying to avoid the need for 1 G4 for each user.
I'm preparing for a job interview and want to put the Company's logo on my PowerPoint presentation. Simple cut and paste didn't work so how do I do it?
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I have my iMac connected to a projector and i run powerpoints on it. Sometimes i want to navigate the internet and/or my computer while the powerpoint is still showing through the projector.
I have a problem where I can't get rid of unnecessary events. The problem is with events which are repeated every period of time. When, I don't need them anymore, they refuse to disappear. I click delete, and get even the reminder: Deleting all future events. And when I confirm, and click OK, nothing happened. What should I do to erased these events definitely.
In every Macworld, when speakers use keynote to do their presentation, they can display them self live, talking, walking on stage and this film is show in the display presentation.
I gave a presentation the other day which I prepared on Mac Powerpoint. The presentation was delivered at a client's office on a Windows based laptop. I could not get the presentation to open. Is this something I should expect every time I try to open a Mac for Powerpoint presentation on a non-Mac laptop?
I've created a movie in iMovie HD (v5 I believe) which I want to insert into a PowerPoint presentation created in PowerPoint 2004. I'm using OSX 10.4.11 and have QuickTime 7.5.5 installed on my G4 PowerBook. I've exported the movie from iMovie as QuickTime --> Expert -->Movie to QuickTime Movie --> MPEG-4 Video Compression. The converted movie plays in QuickTime fine, but when I import it into PowerPoint I get a message on the screen saying "QuickTime and a MPEG-4 video decompressor are needed to see this picture. However the movie plays fine once I run the slideshow. I also tried copying a still frame from QT into Photoshop (Edit --> Copy, then paste into Photoshop) and I get the same message. How can I stop this message from occurring and show the still frame as normal in the presentation, prior to running the movie?
I'm using Keynote 09' to create a presentation which will be displayed on a windows machine so I planned on exporting to quicktime but there is no export menu when I press file. What's going on?
