I've had my MBP for less than 4 months and have had 54 loadcyles (something I'm trying to reduce, hopefully), and coconutBattery says my current battery capacity is 91%. I'm a bit worried. Is this accurate, or what? I've calibrated my battery about 4 days ago.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI received my first Mac this Monday and I was perusing the forums and people recommended I should download coconut to see the status of my battery. I was just wondering why the battery capacity is 98% if my notebook is brand new.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my late 2007 BLACKBOOK, I just installed leopard and coconut battery is giving me a really weird reading, it looked nothing like this before SL. It still lasts normally, not at %35 charge, that has to be wrong - lasts over three hours via battery, again this is the blackbook and this is a typical reading.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded coconut battery and i got this
could anyone explain to me why my current charge is more than my original capacity?
I have just downloaded coconut battery and its says that my original battery capacity was 4100 mAh. it says that the current capacity is 4410 mAh. I don't understand this, how can it be? Also it says my mac is 8 weeks old so this must be the creation date as I brought this mac this week.

I just upgraded to iStat Menus 3.0, and was trying to use the new Battery meter. I was running on Battery when I installed it, and I was comparing it to the Apple meter to make sure it matched, and the % and time remaining was identical. Then I plugged my MacBook in, and iStat said it had like 3:00 hours remaining to a full charge, and the Apple meter said like 1:48. I let it discharge completely thinking that might help, but its still messed up. Right now iStat says 2:03 remaining, and Apple says 1:05. Both of the percentages are at 77%. Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?
View 12 Replies View Relatedever since i got my macbook around a month ago, my battery hasn't lasted more than 2 hours at the most. i researched and realized i should calibrate the battery, that didnt do anything. then i downloaded istat and it shows everything as fine. i think i got a messed up battery. do you think they will replace my battery if i take it in?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my 2009 macbook alu (2.0ghz) to snow leopard. Everything seems to be working fine except the battery life now gets about 3 hours instead of 4 hours with everything being used max brightness etc. suspect as others have posted that this is due to the heat issues. My laptop feels noticablly hotter and istat says the cpu gets to 65 celcius when I'm on safari. Under Leopard, it never broke 60. Are other people having heat and battery issues and if so has anyone found a fix yet for this.

After the install of snow leopard, and a full charge. My battery at 96% showed only 2:45 hours, over the past 30 minutes with little no usage n the laptop (other than letting it sit at the office and periodically checking battery) I am seeing 81% charge and 2:05 on the charge.
The screen is dimmed, display sleep is set to 5 mins, computer sleep to 15....
Anyone else seeing this?
Health on my battery shows 97%, 67 cycles.
I recently updated my MBP 3,1 to Snow Leopard.Because I have recently purchased the unit I decided to make sure all the firmware etc was up to date.I discovered that the Battery UpdateBundle 1.3 was not installed. Uopn trying to install the update I receive an error stating that the update requires 10.4.10 or newer to run.I am pretty sure that 10.6 comes after 10.4..Is there are reason as to why whis is occuring?

I went from Leopard to Snow Leopard last night and now my battery status is NOT CHARGING. It seems I am not the only one who has this problem. My question is WTF.I have replaced my power adapter magsafe and my battery within the past 1.5 years.Do I need to go back to Leopard? Will this even solve my problem?I have the older 13" white macbook.

Does upgrading to Snow Leopard has anything to do with this?
I own an aluminum MacBook from 2008. I just installed Snow Leopard on it, and after a full charge, it says it only has three hours left. While on a full charge on Leopard - it would have five hours left. This thing ain't even a year old. I've not raped the battery with electricity. Normal use, this happened exclusively after installing Snow Leopard. This is wierd. I though Snow Leopard was supposed to be using less power, or perhaps it's oposite? Does anyone know?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever my battery gets drained, my MacBook Pro turns off as if the battery was pulled out, I lose all my work when this happens. This started after I installed Snow Leopard, before, it would just go to sleep and my work is safe.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a MBP Classic (early 08) and I've noticed that the battery life seems to have dropped ever since I switched to SL. I should have conducted a more scientific experiment just before the switch, but I didn't, so I can't be sure. Is anyone else having a similar experience with Snow Leopard?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm a happy owner of a MBP 2010, 15" i5, 2.4GHz.
Before some days I noticed that Snow Leopard installed its update 10.6.4.
Well no big problem but I have a sense that the time remaining without using AC adapter has slightly fell. Before, using only firefox for example I could see about 6 hours remaining (some minutes after powering on my mac). Now it hardly shows about 4+.
Has any other noticed that?
Wanting to update my operating system. running 10.4 now need to update to 10.6.3. Do I need to update to Leopard before snow leopard will work?
