i have returned all my photos into the new iphoto 9.1.However they aren't displayed the way they used to be. The computer is ignoring all the dates i entered on the individual film rolls and displaying them with date that's embedded on the digital images. An example is i have a film roll which contains photos of my cat Salem which range from 2004 to 2012. This 'folder' used to be displayed at the bottom of all the film rolls as i had it dated 12/25/2020 so i knew where it was and could add to it easily. Now though it's near the top lumped together with 2004 photos dated 2004-2012.How do i get iPhoto to display my photo film rolls the way they were on iphoto 6?I would go back to running TIiger and the apps that came with it including iPhoto 06 but i need snow leopard as i have bought two new Lacie 2 TB drives for storage and they need a newer operating system.

I'm trying to send photos through iPhoto, on my mac. I wrote the wrong password when I choose to use iCloud. It accepted it, but when I try to send a e-mail with the photos it denies it. I can't seem to figure out how to change account.
I deleted a large group of photos from my mac that belonged to a friend whom I let load pictures online. Now when i open iphoto, it's as if it's empty. I think I deleted a component of the iphoto application. I can't put my backed up pictures back because i believe the application is missing something. What do I do?
I updated my MacBook Pro but it froze half way through installing so I turned the MacBook off, when it came back on I had a problem with the software and had to install it properly again. Doing that caused me to loose all my files originally on the laptop, i had to set it up like a brand new.
All my photos were stored on my iPhoto but when I downloaded the app and opened it up none of my photos I had were there. Is there any way to get all my photos back at all? There's a lot of photos I've lost because of the update freezing on my MacBook.
I have had a wide collection of photos and videos for the past two years on my mac book pro and today i tried to plug in my iphone onto my laptop to transfer more photos onto my library. usually iphoto pops up and asks me which photos i want to add to the library but, this time it asked me which library i wanted to choose. It didnt show the iphoto library whatso ever. the only other option was to 'create new library' ( or something along those lines.. all i remember were the words create) so i clicked that option and it finally showed my iphoto library but none of my photos or videos were there !
Friends with Iphonez and Ipads are not able to view my photos emailed out of my Macbook Pro through Iphoto. The photos look distorted (too tall and too wide) and if I send multiple emails containing photos, the same set of photos keeps going out. So weird...can't figure it out.
I just recently purchased a Macbook from Apple. How would I transfer the photos from my old Mac Tower to the new Macbook? Is there a library file that I need to look for? My Macbook has iPhoto 11' and my Mac Tower has version 06'.
Not sure what I'm doing here but I have a flash drive taht I am trying to move pictures from iphoto to. I'm still in Windows world I guess and am looking for the flash drive on the left side so i can drag and drop the photos into it but I don't see it anywhere.
MacBook Pro - I scanned in photos and they entered into the computer in tif file. I tried several different ways to convert them to jpg. I finally read that if I transferred them into iPhoto they would automatically go into jpg form. I went to use them for the website I am making and they still can't be transferred so I am assuming that they are still in tif format.
when viewing photos in iPhoto "Library>Photos", by default, each event is expanded (i.e., triangles are down, and all photos are visible). Is there a single command or keyboard shortcut that will collapse all the individual photos into headers only?
I recently switched over to a Mac from a PC which I've had for years. Since I never had a photo storage program on my PC, all my photos were kept in folders on my hard drive. When I got my Mac, all my photos were imported into iPhoto and now I simply use iPhoto for everything I upload. My question is, can I delete the old photos (now imported into iPhoto but still on my hard drive in seperate folders) from my hard drive to save space without deleting them from iPhoto? I checked my settings and I do have the "copy to iPhoto library" option checked but I don't know if that makes a difference. Any information would be helpful - it would be nice if I knew I could delete photos that are essentially duplicates to save space on my hard drive.
Panasonic Lumix camera with SDHC card full of photos. iPhoto on MacBook, OSX 10.9.3 will not read either through cable or card reader. How can i retrieve these pix? Obviously picked the wrong San Disk card but now what?
I try to quit iPhoto and the massage keep saying "Photos are being imported to the photo library" even there is no iPhone or iPad connected. The problem still remind for 3 days and cannot force quit or any option to close the program.
After downloading Yosemite 10.10.1 to my Macbook Air, I can't import photos from camera to iPhoto. Had no problem before. It recognizes camera and says loading, but it never does load photos.
I have experienced a problem after I updated to SL last night.I made a fresh install of both SL and iLife 09 on my mbp unibody late 2008.
Afterwards, I replaced the my fresh iphoto library simply with my old iphoto 09library from time machine (no migration tool, only copy pasts).
But now I recognized a problem that I see no iphoto library in my Desktop and Screensaver Menu in control panel. I cant set iphoto library photos as screensaver cause I cant see them
Does anyone have a solution for it? or does anybody face the same issue?
