Friends with Iphonez and Ipads are not able to view my photos emailed out of my Macbook Pro through Iphoto. The photos look distorted (too tall and too wide) and if I send multiple emails containing photos, the same set of photos keeps going out. So weird...can't figure it out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've bought my 1st Macbook and its been about 3 weeks, its great and love it but I'm starting to see weird banding or color issues when viewing photos. Mainly when viewing black and white photos and even color. This seemed to have happened after I was trying to calibrate my screen using the Pantone Huey. Is this a limitation of the screen or do I have a defect?

I've been trying to access my iphoto application for the past couple of days and it isn't working as it should. The application is open and when I place my mouse in a corner of the screen, the iphoto screen shows up in my boxes view, but I'm unable to click on it. As soon as I click on the screen it disappears. So the application is open and the options bar appears across the top of the screen, but I'm unable to view it normally.
I just had one of those mac moments (i.e. that's so awesome!!!!) with iPhoto as I loaded some of my recently taken photos and videos up. I also checked Front Row, and it's awesome that it can view the pictures as slide shows and all, but I can't find how to view the videos located in iPhoto via Front Row.

I am a photographer. And I edit all my images in Photoshop. With that being said I am fairly knowledgable of photoshop. I use the newest CS5 version. A week ago I emailed myself some images that had been edited. When I pulled them up on my I-phone they were blue boxes, NOT my images. I cannot seem to e-mail images after editing them.
Yes if I pull them into I-photo, or another program then save them as the same image, they are e-mailable. This process was not necessary one week ago, nor does it fit with my work flow. However, I can e-mail them to the address and they are visable by other computers as far as I know, and I can upload them to my website without any problem. The images are viewable on my macbook pro. I just can't seem to see them on my I-phone.

i have returned all my photos into the new iphoto 9.1.However they aren't displayed the way they used to be. The computer is ignoring all the dates i entered on the individual film rolls and displaying them with date that's embedded on the digital images.An example is i have a film roll which contains photos of my cat Salem which range from 2004 to 2012. This 'folder' used to be displayed at the bottom of all the film rolls as i had it dated 12/25/2020 so i knew where it was and could add to it easily. Now though it's near the top lumped together with 2004 photos dated 2004-2012.How do i get iPhoto to display my photo film rolls the way they were on iphoto 6?I would go back to running TIiger and the apps that came with it including iPhoto 06 but i need snow leopard as i have bought two new Lacie 2 TB drives for storage and they need a newer operating system.

I deleted a large group of photos from my mac that belonged to a friend whom I let load pictures online. Now when i open iphoto, it's as if it's empty. I updated my MacBook Pro but it froze half way through installing so I turned the MacBook off, when it came back on I had a problem with the software and had to install it properly again. Doing that caused me to loose all my files originally on the laptop, i had to set it up like a brand new.
All my photos were stored on my iPhoto but when I downloaded the app and opened it up none of my photos I had were there. Is there any way to get all my photos back at all? There's a lot of photos I've lost because of the update freezing on my MacBook.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a wide collection of photos and videos for the past two years on my mac book pro and today i tried to plug in my iphone onto my laptop to transfer more photos onto my library. usually iphoto pops up and asks me which photos i want to add to the library but, this time it asked me which library i wanted to choose. It didnt show the iphoto library whatso ever. the only other option was to 'create new library' ( or something along those lines.. all i remember were the words create) so i clicked that option and it finally showed my iphoto library but none of my photos or videos were there !

I finally read that if I transferred them into iPhoto they would automatically go into jpg form. I went to use them for the website I am making and they still can't be transferred so I am assuming that they are still in tif format.

I recently switched over to a Mac from a PC which I've had for years. Since I never had a photo storage program on my PC, all my photos were kept in folders on my hard drive. When I got my Mac, all my photos were imported into iPhoto and now I simply use iPhoto for everything I upload. My question is, can I delete the old photos (now imported into iPhoto but still on my hard drive in seperate folders) from my hard drive to save space without deleting them from iPhoto? I checked my settings and I do have the "copy to iPhoto library" option checked but I don't know if that makes a difference. Any information would be helpful - it would be nice if I knew I could delete photos that are essentially duplicates to save space on my hard drive.
