MacBook :: How To Get Missing Wallpapers
Aug 31, 2010
cbook today and all of my wallpapers have disappeared and I'm left with a blue background. In the categories (e.g. nature, plants, black and white etc) there are no files. I have two accounts on the machine and both accounts do not have any wallpaper files.

I searched and couldn't find anything on it, but is it just me or are we missing some of the wallpapers that were in the seeded dev. build?

I'm looking to delete some of the never-used wallpapers, however, the spotlight doesn't reveal the location and the 'find' command didn't give much info either

I noticed the lack of 2010 Macbook Air Wallpapers, due to it being newly released of course. So I decided to use Apple's Macbook Air stock images to create a wallpaper. It's nothing special, and I'm not expert, but I tried my best. Check out my YouTube channel: BackToBackMac. Enjoy.

I am looking for a breathtaking high quality wallpaper for my macbook pro that is 1440 x 900 resolution. I was wondering if anyone would like to share cool Lord of the Rings backgrounds that they found from the vast reaches of the internet. I also wanted to share this awesome theme that I stumbled upon for those Mac users out there that use google chrome: [URL]

I clicked the little jellybean thing on the top right, and it only makes the menubar appear and disappear, but the sidebar is still gone.i don't have a little dot on the left hand side so i have nothing to drag. i checked my finder preferences and the folders are still checked.but even after all that... still no side bar.

Where can I find the Apple pre installed wallpapers in a folder (path).
Because i use "change wallpaper for 1 minute" and I didn't like some of the wallpapers and I wanted to get ride of them. If I could find those wallpapers as a files in any location, I could delete (or move to some other location) them.

I have a unibody MacBook with a native resolution of 1280x800. I downloaded several wallpapers from [URL] all at 1280x800 and whenever I use them as wallpapers they appear either scaled up and pixelated or severely scaled down (at "Fit to screen" and "Center" respectively). Previously I had a 17" PowerBook at 1440x900 and didn't have that issue.

I noticed a lot of people are struggling to find wallpapers for the 27" iMac, I also noticed a fair few people on here are WoW players. I dug up some super high resolution WoW art I had on my hard drive and made 4 wallpapers, they are nothing super special. They are all around 2.5mb in size, no quality was thrown away!
I've zipped them all up into a .zip, below is a preview image so you can see what is included. Hope you like them .

i've been using wallpapers from interfacelift.com for a long time. In my opinion they are some of the best out there but I noticed that they aren't scaled to the full 27" imac resolution. Does anyone know where you can get some cool looking HD background wallpapers for the BIG iMac?

I have seen a few videos about mastering and gave it a try myself. It can be done by clicking the master tab, then going to the Input 1-2 column setting and then clicking setting - mastering, etc. When I first did this a few weeks ago, there were many options such as hip hop mastering, electronic mastering, etc. Now, when I do so, I have different - much less enticing options and have no idea where the good ones went.

Over the last few days I've noticed a problem with missing icons. It seems to mainly effect icons in the Trash but I have one or two missing icons for videos and apps within the Finder and on the Desktop. The icon is completely gone - I have to click on the filename to select it. Quicklook works OK (for video).
I can't think of anything I've installed that would have done it except Onyx, but I haven't run that in weeks. I did repair permissions a few days ago but I doubt that could break this. It persists after a reboot. I can't get it to happen on command, it just randomly occurs. Creating a New Folder always works OK.

A will get here in a couple of days, so I was reading some reviews and came across this:"The secret is that this mobile system has a little fewer keys: there are only 79 of them, while Wintel notebooks have 88-key keyboards."Which keys are these?

I have a late 2011 15" Macbook Pro with a 500 GB SSD, 12 GB Ram, i7 Dual Core Processor, 2.2 GhZ that runs on OS X 10.7.2 (Lion), and within the last couple of weeks, I noticed that a couple files and folders went missing completely. I even restored everything weeks back through Time Machine, but even then, the folders and files were not there. I do not backup a lot on this MBP as it's mostly my personal MBP and not a work one as my iMac is, but the folders that are missing, I would like to have back again. They were just folders with pictures in them and a few graphics that I worked on; they were saved in my Documents panel. I'm wondering what the cause for the problem would be, how I can retrieve the folders/files (or IF I can), and possibly how to prevent this from happening again.
The folders and files went missing without the MBP being booted, they disappeared while the MBP was on and logged in. I only have one user account on this MBP, and everything else seems to be fine, aside from the missing folders and files. I have scanned my MBP for viruses and everything else, but nothing comes up and I'm really careful with what is downloaded on all of my computers, anyway.

upgraded from a 320gb to a 512gb SSD. Works great except can only access the original 320gb. Can't expand the partition in disk utility, just hangs. I let it run for over 2 hours and the status bar was still spinning. I'm running OS 10.7.4..

I am new to macs. I just bought a used macbook air, and realized 3 screws were missing from the bottom, I called all the local repair shops, no one has screws for it. I would really like to get the screws. Longer ones by the fan I am more concerned about, where could I order them from without getting a while set for like $40? It is out of warranty so apple will not give me the screws.
