1) With Bootcamp, I want to install my copy of Windows XP. However, my printer is broken and I don't have any available blank CD's. Is there any way to have the guide on a second computer and more importantly, able to download the Mac Drivers from the web to put on a Flash drive.2) What amount of the partition should I give Windows, as I want to use it for gaming (I have PC only games as well as using Games For Windows Live). Would 30GB be more than enough or should I give less / more.3) How do I print screen Seriously, I'm confused!4) How do I uninstall applications. I've got a trial for AppZapper but was wondering if their was a free alternative

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
I have had difficulty in attaching my HP Photosmart C5580 printer to my new MacBookPro (OSX 10.6) through my Netgear WGPS606 print server. After much searching I found previous posts here which advised me to add the Gutenprint driver 5.2.6 which I did. That finally DID successfully attach the printer through the server.
However, there is a lag of many seconds (sometimes minutes) between the SEND command and the starting of the printer. Is this the new normal that I need to expect or is there a fix?

I plugged a projector into my macbook air and after unplugging, the entire desktop will not fit on the screen of the MBA no matter what resolution. I have to drag the cursor to top, bottom or side to see what is not shown. The resolution is set at 1440x990 in display preferences.

Daily I use my MBP with a cinema display and like to use the 23" screen as my main display (dock, menu bar etc) and the laptop as the secondary screen. This is fine until I want to use the MBP on its own because the desktop icons rearrage themselves.Â

I have the latest model of macbook pro 15" (entry-level one) and since a few minutes ago the screen has gone mad. It seems it has gone to lower resolution and the desktop doesn't fit on the screen anymore. I have to drag the mouse to the edges of the screen to see the parts that are hidden. I tried SMC reset, PRAM reset and it didn't fixed it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI noticed today that some icons that used to be on my desktop have disappeared. Eventually I realized that they were still there but they were not shown on the display screen, they are somewhere off to the sides and above. In fact, in order to click on icons that do appear on my desktop I need to click below them, nowhere near the icon itself.

I just booted up me Mac and got a screen full of yellow squares. I can still see all the icons and everything seems to be working. Is my display going, or is there a fix?

When my macbook pro resumes from sleep the desktop opens too large for the screen size. Yes, I'm running LION. Another forum has advised to switch between users which works great for a temporary fix. This issue seems to be on-going.

My 11" MacBook Air recently just started randomly switching from full screen apps back to the desktop by itself without me using the 4-fingered swipe to change desktops/apps. I've tried quitting (almost) every app and no matter what app is left open, it keeps sliding from the full screen app back to the desktop. I've rebooted the laptop a good three times and it's also been fully shut down and turned back on twice and it still keeps switching.
