I made a reminder on my iPad mini with the reminders app, and it is shared on iCloud. How do I sync it to my macbook pro so whenever I change something on my iPad, it will be changed on my mac??Â
Have just moved from MobileMe to iCloud. iCal is syncing properly across iMac and iPhone, but not Air. Similar problems with Address Book. Express Lane "help" was unhelpful - suggested I phone Apple Care. The warranty on my Air is probably long up. Asked if they would help anyway as I've just upgraded to Lion.
My reminders app is not syncing across all of my devices. For example when I complete a reminder "Grocery Shopping". I mark it completed on my iPhone however it does not show completed on my Mac nor completed on my iPad Mini. I am signed in to iCloud on all of my devices with the same user name and password.
I've been experimenting with the reminders app on my iPhone. I love the way it works with iCloud. It's nice to be able to access reminders from my MacBook.Â
I'd like to export or download my info. Ideally, I'd copy/paste into a word document. However, I'm only able to highlight and copy 1 entry at a time.Â
I could take screen shot, and type them out, but I have about 25 lists with 10-30 entries per list. I'd like to find an easier way :-)Â
The Reminders App does not work on Yosemite (10.10.1) with two iCloud accounts. It seems like when there are two iCloud accounts connected in Yosemite (10.10.1) the plist file for Reminders disappears.Â
I have tried restarting Reminders; restarting the mac; starting the mac in recovery mode to repair the disk and disk permissions; and starting the mac in recovery mode and reinstalling OSX.

Since Reminders was released, I have had them synced fine between my phone and computer. However, in the past week this is no longer happening. I'd like to turn on my reminders on both my iPhone and MacBook without turning on my iCloud calendar sync. However, it seems that on the iPhone end of things, I can choose to turn on just reminders, while on my computer they are lumped together in the same checkbox (see images.)Â
I would be okay with syncing them via my gmail, but again there is a discrepancy in the options I have. On my phone, no reminders option exists, but on my accounts tab on my laptop, there it is: reminder sync with gmail! I have also posted images of this. I found out that if you turn on calendars AND reminders on both ends, then the reminders work. Which is not what I want.Â
So my question: how can I sync reminders with my computer from my phone, without having to sync my iCloud calendar? Note that i use google calendar exclusively, for work/personal use. I have NEVER used iCloud calendar, never had it synced, and my reminders have worked fine until now. Â
UPDATE: before, i could get reminders to work by turning reminders+calendars on and off on both devices in iCloud. now it doesn't work at all, no matter what!Â
My wife and I share a MacBook Pro on Lion, with one user serving us both. But we have separate apple ids, used for iTunes and for logging in to Apple Support discussions. We do not use iCloud presently. In preparation for Mountain Lion, I am considering turning on iCloud in system preferences. It is possible or advisable for us to have two iCloud accounts? I ask that because she has exclusive use of our one iPad and I have exclusive use of our one iMac. Since iCloud facilitates sharing of data among devices, is there any reason to have one iCloud account synching the MBP and the iPad, and another synching the MBP and my iMac?
Apparently I allowed iCloud to delete all of my calendar and reminder information from my Mac.Can I restore it from iCloud, if not can I restore it from Time Machine?
I created a shared photostream at one time named Family...it was shared by me. It still shows in iCloud on both my mac and my iOS devices. I have tried to delete it via the photos app in iOS and via iPhoto on my mac....it deletes and then reappears in a few moments. It is an empty stream that I created to test but I cannot get rid of it...
Looks like there will be an app "notes" in Mountain Lion that can be shared across all my computers; is there a way to use Notes (iOS5) and StickNotes (Lion) with iCloud to do that now?

How can I "mute" my whife's calendar? I want to see it, but not receive her reminders and notifications. She has the same problem, she don't need to get a pop up every time I have a meeting. Is there a way to "mute" shared calendars?

I have just uploaded with iMovie in theater on an iMac to iCloud. I can now open on MY iPad. But can I create a shared Stream on iCloud for my Videos. Running latest OS and iMovie.
Does iCloud save pictures shared from other devices to my hard drive? When I look for a picture on my hard drive, it's not there. When I go to copy the picture from iCloud to iPhoto, a pop up box asks me if I want to duplicate this picture or not. I don't want duplicates on my hard drive, but I don't mind having duplicates on the iCloud and the hard drive, combined.Â
My iCal is autmatically updated on iCloud on all my devices, an iMac, an iPad, an iPhone and on my MacBook Air. Only on the Air, past reminders keep popping up regularly.
A couple of months ago I was at the head office and connected to the in house Wifi. When I did, a bunch of shared drives or folders showed in my finder under "Shared". I figured no biggie, when I got away from the head office they'd go away. But they didn't. And I can't figure out how to get rid of them.See attached photo.
With previous versions, a reminder popped up if you have not run Time Machine in 10 days. That seems to me missing once I upgraded to Yosemite. Is there a preference adjustment I missed?Â
I am using Yosemite 10.10.1 which I believe is the current version on my MaBook Pro
I had a "To Do" list in iCal running Lion. I just upgraded to Mavericks and now have Calendar and Reminders. My "To Do"s did come across into Mavericks and Reminders.Â
I found my "To Do" list in Reminders in that when I click "Today" I see reminders for today. When I click on any date on the calendar I see reminders for that day. On my "To Do" list in iCal and Lion I often had items that I didn't have a date on. I called them "Unscheduled". Now for my question.Â
How can I find my unscheduled items, i.e. those with no due date? How do I get to them? My process used to include reviewing my unscheduled items and if any of them should need to be done, I'd add a date at that time.

Using iCal 4.0 with Snow Leopard 10.6.1 on Intel iMac. Recurring reminders pop up with the entire history of the reminder. For example, when it's time to remind me of a monthly meeting on Oct. 15, 2009, I'll get a whole laundry list of reminders dating back to, say, March 15, 2008. I've tried eliminating the Calendar Cache but that didn't help.
I have looked extensively to no avail. Is there any way to have iCal give me a reminder or alarm when people's birthdays that are in iCal are coming up? This would be of great help if it is possible.
I was wondering if there is any way to get rid of the update reminders that show up when my mac runs the software updates. Like the list that is displayed and it will say like itunes, iphoto, security update etc. I have like ten updates for different programs that I dont want to update but everytime I run a check for updates those are still on the list. For example there is an Garage band update that I dont want but it still is on the list. How can I remove these? I dont want to uninstall any updates or anything like that. Ive seen posts on that topic before.
I just installed Growl ( using it with Evernote ) and noticed it has Speech announcements ( rather then the little box that pops up on screen) Is there a way to some how set it to where when my iCal appts or reminders pop up on screen from iCal to have it go thru Growl or something? So that way i can get speech reminders? I am new to Mac so not sure how anything really works but i did search a little on Google and i think it can be done, just dont technically know how...
Couldn't find the appropriate place to post this as there is not a discussion group related to the reminders app.In the upcoming IOS6 release will the user be able to set the geo-fence size for a reminder created on the ios device?
for example, I would like to be reminded when i am within 5 km of a restaurant I keep forgetting to try.
or
When I am within 2 km of a costco, remind me to go there and buy milk.the apps in the appstore that claim to do this are very rudimentary and do not function well.
I would like to use the 24 hour clock and not have to work about the extra step of AM or PM. Can I set a preference to use the 24 hour clock with Reminders? I can set it with my clock display on the computer but I do not know who to correct with the supporting apps.
