I am trying to play spades on msn games and it says it requires internet explorer 7 or later and is not working on safari or google chrome. Is there any way around this? If not how can I download IE 7 for free?After I click on the game and click play now it redirects a few times and then a page comes up that says "page not found"

i share a house with my brother, lucky me He got a PC with Vista in his room. I got a lovely imac in my room. He gets the broadband cable direct into his room. It averages 40 mbps download , 1.67 upload. We use a wireless Netgear router one thats suppose to handle N wireless and i pick the wireless up on the airport extreme in my imac. Unfortunately i only get about 12 mbps download , 1.20 upload, even though i'm only in the next room. We both play WOW online. It works so much better on his PC cos of the internet speed. Could I use a gigabit ethernet connection between the PC and imac, to share the internet and still play WOW independently?

So I tried upgrading my hard drive to a new Hitachi HD and when I tried using the mac OS X DVD it doesn't find the hard drive in the destination page. My sound has completely quit working. In the sound system prefs I get a massage saying "No output devices found". If I press the volums button keys the onscreen display comes up but has a 'no access' icon on it (a circle with a line through it). The icon in the toolbar has also vanished and there's just a blank space in its place.
Oddly whatever happened also seems to have effected my ability to view Flash movies -*the will play for a few seconds an then pause *they don't stutter they just pause. I think that whatever the issue is it was caused by a force shut down. All my applications were hanging so I had to press down the power button for a few seconds. Since then nothing!
This also effects the start-up sound which I don't get and all users of the machine are the same so it's not a case of deleting users prefs. So far I reinstalled the latest system using combo updater, run disk utility to repair disk/privileges (from start up disk) and zapped the PRAM.
All of the sudden the sound on my MacBook is no longer working. When I look at System Preferences>Sound>Output it says there are no devices found, even when I plug in external speakers.

I just got the Homeworld 2 game for my macbook, and installed it without issue. However, when I tried to run it I got an "unexpected error". I then tried to restart my computer, but now it will not turn on fully (I get a grey screen).
I checked the system requirements on the box and found that my macbook surpassed each one greatly. How do I 1. get my mac to actually turn on fully now (yes, I tried turning it on in safe mode by holding the power button), and 2. get Homeworld 2 to run on mac.
My Macbook is working only online with power adapter.
Green/red LED on adapter connector is not switching on Battery is empty but not charging. In right top corner on display on battery indicator is showing connector.
I was try to change power adapter - same result. Then i replace battery (with full battery) indicator shows empty battery but battery is still not charging.
have ideas?
Recently I bought Europa Universalis III for Windows, to play on my MacBook. I have partitioned my hard drive for Windows XP. My specs are: 2,4 GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA X3100 graphics card.
The problem is that when the intro has started, it is choppy. About halfway in the intro it just crashes out to desktop. I am way above game requirements, so why does the game not start properly?
Or more generally, do the requirements change on the PC version, compared to the Mac version?
How can I open a game that I purchased from Game Stop with an Activation Code?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Adium for years, previously on my iBook and now on my new MacBook without any problems. Recently, it stopped working. I use my AIM and Jabber screennames on it. When I open it, it shows that I am connected and online. However, it tells me that none of my buddies are online, even though they are. My friends have also told me that I don't appear on their Buddy lists even when my Adium tells me I'm online.
I downloaded the latest version of Adium and this didn't help. It still does it. As far as I know, it's only the AIM that isn't working. I think the Jabber still works, but I am not positive. This also occasionally happens with my AIM app on my iPod Touch when it happens on my Adium. I am assuming this means there is something wrong with my AIM screenname and not necessarily with Adium? Do you think getting a new AIM screenname would help? It's definitely just the AIM that isn't working. Jabber works fine.
i just bought the game Spore and i am having troubles with it. 1st after i download the cd an update pops up for the game back to back to back to etc. and its the same update. Then when i run the game everything works fine (the begining cut scenes) but when the game is about to start it cuts off and an error popup comes up.

It's not so much because I wanna see the ads, but this page is supposed to work. See the attached picture for clarification. I have tried to reset Safari completely, and I also tried to view the page in FireFox. I also tried to reinstall Adobe Flash player. It doesn't help, it's all the same. My GF has a PC with Windows. On her machine, in Safari it works as it should. But in FireFox on her machine, it's not working (like both browsers on my mac).

When I click on the link for people who got their Mac from a retail store t loads a page asking for my Serial Number etc.... If I click the link that says "If you purchased online" all I get is a log-in and that an empty shopping cart. Am I missing something? I really don't want to mail my form in.

I have only been "MAC" for five years now...from a PC of course. I LOVE IWEB, but noted this morning on one of my sites I have up ONLY on one page one of the navigation links is not working. I went back into Mac and took the page and marked it NOT to be linked saved and went back and reinstated it in the link navigation bar, resaved it, republished it, ftp'd it up and cleared recent history... and still no luck.

i have a 2010 15" MBP 2.66 ghz i7, with 4 GB ddr3 1066 ram, 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD, and the nvidia GT 330 M gpu. I tend to get down around 30 MB of ram when i am running Starcraft 2. I do not understand what pages in and pages out means. Before i started SC 2 it was like 50k + pages in and 0 pages out. After running SC 2 for like2 hours i have 150k+ pages in and 100k + pages out.I am pretty sure i just need to add some more ram but i would like to know what these mean so i can better monitor my system.

I have been working on a template where I have placed a two column table on the front page, left side being for a graphic for a letterhead, and right side column for text.
My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
Problem Description:
1. System prints PDF files very slowly, about 50 seconds per page, a text only page. Sometimes will just continue sending data to printer as indicated by flashing green light on printer – does not stop sending and printer does not print. Problem also present when try to print PDF files as sent by others over internet (eg TD Bank statements).
2. Unable to cause double sided printing using IMac – no problem with PC.
Trouble shooting:Took the same one page text only file that was very slow in IMac, transferred to PC using a memory stick – connected printer to PC using same USB cable – page starts printing in about 1 seconds – no problems.No difficulty in printing Word files other than no double sided. Think the problems started with OSX Yosemite upgrade and the companion Safari upgrade. Auto update for software is on and no new updates. Old drivers removed and new one installed Tried Apple internet chat to resolve problem – was unable – the user forum indicates others have had difficulties with printing PDF files.

I seem to be having a hell of a time with all google related things. About 50% of the time I can't get to the google search page and get the error message Safari can't open the page [URL] because Safari can't connect to the server. When I am able to get into gmail, I am constantly being disconnected from gchat, like every 5 minutes. When it disconnects, it will try to reconnect, most of the time unsuccessfully. I then get the error message, unable to reach gmail please check your internet connection. This happens no matter what browser I use. However, when I try to connect from my husband's PC (same network), everything is fine. I've tried emptying my safari cache, tried uninstalling and re-installing both safari and firefox, and I am out of ideas. Any ideas about what is going on, and how I might fix this issue. I searched through the google help, and there were similar problems posted (none recently), but no answers on how to solve the issue. This has been going on for about a week now, and it's driving me up a wall.
