I plan on getting the new iWork '09 and will be doing a Keynote presentation in a month or two. I have been looking for those remotes to advance and go back slides...
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm doing a presentation tomorrow (I can't bring my macbook pro). I made the presentation in keynote 09 with several of the new text and image transitions. I know I will be using a Macbook 2,1 tomorrow for the presentation. Does anyone know if all the transitions will work or would if be safer to export it as a movie file?

When I click "Play" on my keynote presentation, the slides come up, but they only occupy the centre of the screen (eg: much smaller than the size of the screen).
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor a school project, I have to record a podcast, with pictures for emphasis. I'd like to record something on GarageBand(for effects, and easier use) rather than use the narration tool in Keynote. I have Keynote 09. I read on the internet that it's possible to put an mp3 file in there, but it stops on each slide. So what can I do? If it comes down to it, I guess I can play my mp3 file as a narration, but I don't really want to do that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI attempted to show a keynote presentation yesterday and when it went through the LCD projector, it showed the presentation on the left in a small screen and elapsed time on the right. Also, when the projector showed my laptop screen, it did not show the real desktop, it showed way off to the side. How to get it back to normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a 8 core Mac Pro at work and it has developed a nasty crashing habit. I think that I have narrowed the problem down, but I wanted to see if anyone had any advice. The machine crashes whenever I view a PowerPoint (08) or Keynote (09) file in presentation mode. In the current setup I have the presentation on one screen and my notes and information on the other screen. I am running dual 24 inch LED monitors (not mirrored) and when I disconnnect one of them, there is no crashing and the presentations work great. I have two NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 video cards.

Today I tried opening my keynotes presentation file to make amendments to it and when I double clicked on it, the program loading bar only loaded up a third of the way and then hanged. I then tried to save it to a flash drive and use it on a different computer, but when I tried to copy it over to the flash drive it gave me this error: "the finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "garment styles" could not be read or written error code - 36".
I have tried changing the file extension to a zip, then unzipping it and then renaming it but that did not work.(It wouldn't let me unzip it). I have also looked at the index file name to see if that was the problem, but that is as it should be.
I have also tried uploading it to a website and emailing it and it will not let me.
Is there anyway I can recover this file as I have been working on it for over a month and it is due next week, or will I need to start again?
I need an app that will open a PowerPoint file without having to spend a fortune just for one presentation. Its for a Mac Book Pro.

I mean it shouldn't right (assuming that you use the same resolution for Mirror and Dual) because there is still content on both screens being written to the VRAM?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired a new to me 2009 13" MBP. I want to mirror all the applications (essentially everything on the computer) from my 15" MBP to the 13". What would be the best way to do this, should I use carbon copy to mirror my computer onto the drive and pop it in the 13" or should I use a time machine backup of my 15" system on a new drive and put it in the 13"?

I just got a new MacBook Pro and would like to mirror my current G5 desktop hard drive, so that I can keep all my applications like Photoshop and whatnot. Or do I have to mirror it at all? I'd actually prefer to partition the hard drive on my new laptop, which would make mirroring impossible. (as far as I understand.)
Can I just transfer my programs. If so, how? I no longer have key codes.
I am working on a sales presentation in Powerpoint, but I want to use Keynote on my Air to polish it off and make it awesome. I am not sure if the location that I am presenting is Mac compatible, so if I wanted to use my Air to hook up to a projector to present, how could I accomplish this? If there is no way to accomplish this, would Keynote convert well with Powerpoint 2003?

My next computer purchase will probably be a MacBook (or MacBook Pro) but I obviously want to be able to plug it into a better screen when I'm at my desk. I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to use my current eMac as this screen?
I have heard that in the early iMacs the monitor was connected internally with a normal monitor lead - so you could open it up and connect a longer one. Does anyone know if this would be the case with an eMac?
Or any other way I might be able to do this?
I've got a 17" MacBook Pro on OSX 10.5.7 and a 15" TiBook on OSX 10.4.11.
Can I connect the TiBook to the MacBook Pro in such a way that I can use it to extend the screen? IE: main window on MBP and menus etc on Ti? If so how? Is it easy to switch back and forth on the Ti so I can get back to it's own screen easily?
