MacBook Pro :: Dual HD Monitors - Extend Screen?

Nov 21, 2010

One simple question, do exist the possibility to connect 2 DVI Monitors, both HD, to a MacBook Pro 15" in order to "extend" the screen? No need to keep the MacBook pro LCD on. What is needed to succeed?

I just bought a new monitor to use as a secondary display with my MBP. I'm trying to watch a video in Firefox on my secondary display, when I try to watch the video in full screen and move back the mouse on my MBP display and click on that display. The video on my secondary display will exit full screen. How do I stop this from happening?

Mac Pro :: Using Dual Monitors / Screen Makes Blue Flashes?

May 15, 2008

I just hooked up a 2nd monitor to my early '08 Mac Pro and when in OSX the screens start to go blank/blue for about 1 second intervals. They flash together sometimes, and other times sort of independantly to each other. When the desktop comes back on it fades in like its animated rather than like its cutting in and out.

It seems fine when I disconnect one monitor.Running 10.5.2 all updates 8 core 2.8ghz with 10gb ram and 8800GT

Mac Pro :: Dual Monitors - Separate Screen Saver Settings

May 8, 2012

I've got dual monitors up and running for the first time. With my workflow, I'll be working at one monitor for several hours and then the other for several hours. I'd like to have independent screen savers for each monitor so the one not being used won't get burn in, etc., but I don't see any way to do that.

Perhaps I'm answering my own question here, but I would suppose that if I'm in extended mode (which I'll be doing) it's really just one big screen, so there isn't a way to tell the other screen to start running a screen saver....and if I'm mirroring, they're both doing exactly the same thing. Those pieces of logic tell me that I can't do what I want to do.

MacBook Pro :: Won't Work With Dual Monitors / Can't Find Setup

Sep 9, 2010

I have a new 2010 MBP and I'd like to hook up two external monitors to it, more specifically, two ASUS VW246H 24-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitors. Either via HDMI or DVI connections. I've found various usb monitor adapters, but i've read that many can't quite 'keep up' and I really can't seem to find a solid solution out there.
So does anyone have a dual monitor setup they currently use, if so, what are you using to connect the mini display port to both external monitors.

Hardware :: MacBook Pro - Dual External Monitors - Portrait Mode?

Can an external monitor be configured to portrait mode? That would let me see as much code as possible. Do the MBPs support dual external monitors? What resolution max? I realize that the new models haven't been released yet so it's hard to know for sure. I might just get a 27" iMac for now, then get a 13" MBP later. I'm switching from a 15" Dell.

OS X :: How To Use Hot Corners With Dual Monitors

Sep 12, 2009

Does anyone know how to get hot corners to work on dual displays? I had a monitor plugged into my MBP 2.5ghz and after changing the relative location of the monitor in display settings, left of main screen to top of main screen, the lower left corner would allow me to access Expose for the applications in the current monitor, instead of exposing all application windows on both screens. This feature is very helpful though I cannot repeat it. Is there a certain orientation of the monitors that will allow each screen to have it's own hot corners functioning for that screen of was this just a fluke?

it would be nice to be working on one screen and watching a movie on the other without the movie expose ing when I only want to expose the applications/windows on the monitor who's corner I accessed.

Intel Mac :: How To Set Up Dual Monitors For It
