OS X :: How To Connect PS3 To MacBook With Cable

Nov 14, 2009

My question is if it's possible to connect my MacBook Pro (13") with ethernet connection to my PS3 with an ethernet (or other) cable. So that my PS3 sees my MacBook without using any router, etc... and that I can play movies (e.g. in Blu-Ray) or music that's on my MacBook through my PS3 on my TV?

I've tried Medialink but I guess that's also for wireless streaming also because when I connect my MacBook with my PS3 my PS3 doesn't show up under "devices".

MacBook Pro :: Can't Connect To Internet Using Ethernet Cable

Oct 12, 2010

I'm here at university and the wifi here sucks! it is so slow, it is working. However there is an ethernet port and I did connect to it this morning. But when i tried this evening it dint ask for my student ID or password. I went to settings and it did say that there was a connection and that "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet"

i dont understand how come now it isnt working. I aksed my classmate nextdoor if his internet port was working through the ethernet port he said it was.... i am not that tech savy so keep vocabulary to something simple lmaooo.

MacBook Pro :: How Can I Connect To WiFi? - Using Charter Cable

Nov 17, 2009

I just moved into my cousins house, which is a lot closer to my university. For the past year have lived about 20 miles away and fortunately now am under 3 miles away.My current situation (don't wanna call it a problem, hoping we'll find a solution) is that his WiFi network is located on one end of his house, while i'm staying on the other side. His house isn't somewhat big, def. more vast than anything i'm used to...but the WiFi is on the south side of the house. My guest bedroom and small work area is on the north side, i'm guessing 40 or 50ft away.He had WiFi using Charter Cable and won't budge drilling another hole in the middle of the house so I could get reception. Nor will he have a long cable from the south side go to even the middle of the home.

MacBook Air :: Why Won't IPad Connect Via Lightning Cable

Jul 2, 2014

I have an iPad (4th Gen, 32GB, iOS 7.11) and a MacBook Air (OS X Ver 10.9.3).

My iPad was purchased Feb. 2013, and my MacBook was purchased June 2014.

Here's the low-down:

I just put quite a few albums onto my MacBook that were physical (from a DiskDrive, HardDrive, CD) and in order to put them onto my iPad, I need to plug it in with the cable and sync them over. The problem, however, is that when I plug in the iPad, nothing happens. No connection sound, no iPad charging, nothing. It is as if the cable itself is nonexistent. I can then unplug the USB from my MacBook and stick into the AC Adapter and all is good. What gives? I can plug it into my desktop, too, which is a PC running Windows 7.

MacBook Pro :: Does Not Recognize Ethernet Cable Or Connect To Wireless

May 4, 2012

Today when I turned on my computer, it suddenly would not recognize any kind of Internet connection. The Ethernet cable that I use every day now shows up as 'unplugged' even though it is plugged in. I have tried using a different cable, and it still shows up as unplugged. When I try to connect to the Internet wirelessly, there is always a connection timeout and I can't connect. I use a self-assigned IP address and I've never had this problem before. I've also reset my PRAM, but it hasn't worked.

MacBook Pro :: Finding Cable To Connect To Logitech Z-5500 Speakers

Dec 13, 2009

I'm looking at getting a MacBook Pro, and hooking it up to my Dell monitor and Logitech speakers when at home. Both the SP/DIF and coax connection on the speakers are free right now, so I need to know what cable I'd have to buy to connect the MacBook Pro to either of these 2 connections? I asked the online chat section of the Apple website, to which they replied they had no such cable, and proceeded to cut me off rather than providing a solution - doesn't exactly fill you with much confidence when buying into a premium product!

Can someone let me know what cable it is I require? It must be capable of producing 5.1 sound on the speakers.

MacBook Pro :: 17 Inch Screen Is Pixelated?

Jun 19, 2012

I was using my computer and it was just fine. I closed it carefully (as always) and left for a few minutes. When I came back and opened it up, the screen was completely pixelated. I turned it on and off and read several forums and tried cleaning the drives and nothing is working at all. As I've been working on it parts of the pixelation of bright colors have begun flashing a little bit. Not a lot but a little. Black doesn't seem affected by the pixelation but you can see lines in the white areas. Also when images are fading in and out, they don't become pixelated until they are at their brightest. When they are fading in and out they appear fine. The graphics card in my computer is a Nividia GeForce GT 330M. SO I'm guessing from this that the graphics card is damaged or whatever. I can't afford to have apple repair it for $400 and the nearest apple store to me is two hours away.

MacBook Pro :: Mbp 13 Inch Screen Model Quality?

Jun 22, 2009

I just got a mbp 2.26Ghz 13inch

I've read some got screen model 9C9F and more.

But I find my screen is not very impressive at all

infact, I think it's not much different form the UMB.

is there any difference between the 2.26 & 2.53's screen?

and some with the same 2.26Ghz model yet having different model of screen of different screen quality.

Yet mine have a bad color saturation as well as a very low brightness.
