Jun 25, 2010Soon i will be getting a Mac(i think) and was wondering about a case. Since i want a Macbook Pro with the Unibody Housing i want it to be safe. Now i can't decide if i want a case or a Sleeve. Now the Case might have heat issues even with the vents that are on the case. The sleeve won't have that issue but will it be more prone to scratching the Macbook it self? Or should i go no case and just sorta deal with the scratches. There is a Price difference between the Sleeve and the Case. About $20 Cdn more for the Case.

Jul 15, 2010I am in the market for a keyboard skin for my 2010 13" MBP. I looked at the Moshi but apparently there is a heating issue. What keyboard skins, if any of you use it, do you guys recommend? And did Speck update their shell cases for the MBP yet?

Jul 8, 2010What features are most important to you guys in purchasing a case or sleeve for your MacBook Pro's?
We are currently in the design, development and prototyping stages or creating sleeves specifically for the MacBook Pro line and what to know what exactly it is that you guys, as consumers are looking for.
One thing we're looking to do, is NOT utilize a zipper - or metal of any type. As users ourselves, we've experience scratched cases first hand, not traveling that route.
We're looking to launch, using some fantastic full-grain leathers that we've been fortunate enough to source given our vast experience in the footwear & apparel materials industry. I think you'd find the quality to equal that of some "designer" hand bag companies - with the added costs.
So.......lets have it.....what do you guys like.....and just as important - what do you not like?

Jun 6, 2010I just purchased a new 15inch Macbook Pro. Upon opening it, the first thing I did was drop my alarm clock on it. This put a little dent on the top front behind the screen. This made me realize that maybe I should pick up a hardshell case to prevent anymore dents. But, upon investigation, there are no hardshell cases that fit the magsafe cable.Or is this not true? Are there brands besides Speck and incase that would fit the new MBP?

I've found a few websites that claim to have thembut they mostly ship from China and they give no timeframe when the item will arrive. I've checked eBay and craigslist. I found on on eBay, and I purchased it. And about a week later the seller refunded my payment with no explanation or reason and he won't return my emails. Dec 13, 2010I'm going to be going to grad school in the Fall and I have to walk across campus several times a day. The only case I have found is the SF Waterfield sleevecase. I spoke with a rep. there and she told me that the bag is water resistant, but that water could still get into the opening, even with a flap. Any owners of the bag have any experience in the wet weather with this case? I really like the case, just don't want to risk my investment or my data.

I had a keyboard skin on my old one to protect the keyboard and it was the full version to cover the palm area as well from dirt and wear. Do you guys think its necessary to get a skin that covers the palm area on the unibody or will a skin that just covers the key suffice? Is the palm area on the unibody easily scratched or worn in color? Any ideas on where to find the best deals on such products?

Aug 2, 2009A few of you may not know, but the prongs on the power adapter are supposed to be used to wrap the cord around when you are putting it away.
I'm curious to know if any of you actually do this.
I'm afraid to do this because I fear that the cord will eventually get weak from being wrapped around and the part of the wire that connects to the actual power adapter might become loose.
I'd like to know if someone has done this very frequently and hasn't experienced any problems.
