Apr 10, 2012I have deleted some Time Machine backups.backupdb folders from my backup volume into my trash and now I can't empty the trash. The volume with the backups.backupdb data was getting full and I wanted to give it more space. Now when I attempt to empty the trash on my iMac, I get the error code -8003. I have searched online and can't find a solution. Does anyone one know how I can empty my trash?

Jun 2, 2012I moved a number of folders from a back-up drive (using Time Machine) to the trash, and have had no success in getting them out of the trash. Option+Empty, Option+Secure Empty Trash, after using Disk Utility to repair permissions and then try again, and the TrashIt! app.. nothing is working. I'm not in need of the space, I just want to get rid of the items. as I can't even find 'Error Code -8003' anywhere.Â

I have restarted, repaired permissions and verified the disk, all ok but the message still appears with both secure & normal trash emptying.

Jun 29, 2012Hey there! I don't seem to get through this Issue. I was trying to burn content to a Disc and it failed with the error code 0x8002006E, while the process was almost complete. I came across a few forums and nothing helped much to resolve this problem. Is there someone who knows the exact cause? Is this is a known-issue or anything already being addressed by Apple? Or a work-around to get this resolved? because i also read (did not try) that no third-party applications, as an alternative, solved this Issue. Disappointed!
