Intel Mac :: View Attachments As 'icons'?

I have to hit program folder twice to see the icons in this folder.I have a 17" 2.9 GHZ Unibody,
When I go into the finder and hit "Programs" the folder opens but no icons are shown, If I hit it a second time (via left menu in window) they are shown roght away.
Is there a way to view the attached files with their names ? Not open I mean. Sometimes customers find it difficult to save the images I have attached to an email so I would prefer if they could see the names. Like normal files with their titles.

I use the mail app for my business and private e-mail account. In my business mail signature, there is the company logo, a facebook and twitter icon. Every time I send an e-mail, the recipient received these logos/icons as attachments, and also receives .htm files as attachments, showing the complete signature, previous related mails etc. Is there any way I can disable this, if I just send one attachment I want the recipient to get only that attachment, and not 7 or 8 attachments...

When I attach files to Mail 7.3 it often displays the entire file, not the icon. I find this highly annoying. Yes, I can one-by-one right click on the document and instruct Mac to send the file as in icon only. But I would prefer Mavericks Mail to default to a convention where attachments are (View as Icons) and not to display entire document...
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do I make sure my attachments to emails appear as icons and not as open files? Once they appear as open files I can double click and select 'view as icon' but they don't stay that way. When I send or file the email the attachment is usually open again.

I would like to select a consecutive list of items (photo's) in 'view as icons' but I don't seem to be able to do that. It is possible in 'view as list/coloms' by selecting the first picture, press shift key, select last picture. But when I try to do this in 'view as icons' I can only select the first and the last picture. All the pictures in between are not selected. Am I doing something wrong? It is possible in windows iview icons by using the ctrl and shift keys, so I was wondering if it's also possible in mac.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a hot corner set up to show the desktop.. in Snow Leopard when I exposed the desktop and then clicked on the finder in the dock *just* the finder would show.
Now, with Lion, when I click on the finder it comes into view but all the other open applications come sweeping back in hiding the desktop.
Can I change this back to the way it was before? Or is there another sneaky quick way to show only the desktop and the finder? Set up an entirely different "desktop" in mission control dedicated only to having nothing open in it?
In short: I need a fast way to drag icons from the desktop into folders in the finder. Also, this is driving me nuts.

I just fresh-installed 10.6 and updated everything. And now this.
I have not ever seen this before nor have I installed any software I haven't ever used before that did not do this.
This also shows in Columns View and the Lower Pane of Cover Flow.
... so lost ...
Get Info shows a preview of a normal folder, as does icon view.
The only thing thats bugging me, and its minor about Snow Leopard is the icon size of a stack in grid view mode is huge.. Ive googled it but I cant seem to find any way to adjust it..

I'm using MacOSX and Mac Mail. The cub scouts send a weekly newsletter via Scouttrack. When I view this on the Mac, I cannot see any attachments; it's like they are not there at all. When I view it from Outlook on a PC, it doesn't show the little paper clip, but when I open the email, then I can see that the attachments are there.
Is there any way to get the mail application on the Mac to recognize that there are attachments in the email??
Why are my attachments not showing up as attachments when recieved. They are sent from Mail as windows "friendly" - but never the less always show up inlaid in the mail. The recipient then have to ctrl clik on the documents, save them on the harddrive before being able to fx print.

I use iMacs for work. I often send email messages with attachments using Mail. Often, when sending email messages to Windows users (they are out there still), they will reply that they cannot open "the second attachment." The message seems to "pick up" a second apparent attachment, which is generally just a few K in size, and is not part of the original message or attachment. Unfortunately, though, it tricks the recipient into thinking that there are two attachments and the second one is meaningful So then they respond and I have to assure them that the second attachment is irrelevant and can be ignored.

How do I have more control over attachments in mail? The software always places the attachment in the mail text but does not give my Windows, Outlook users the attachment listed at the top of the message when they open it. They are concerned that they can not zoom into the jpeg image attachment. How can I make this possible for the poor Windows users?

1. Just changed the modem, so that isn't the problem. Mail now wont' send emails - just malfunctioned. Is anyone getting this happening? Has done it for twice - I've looked at settings - just says it is now offline.
2. Mail programme is not adding attachments correctly. Had 2 people say documents weren't attached that should have been.
Is this just a glitch on my machine or is there something else going on?
I was told, to highlight the information and do a get Info on it and report back what the message said. When I go to finder and click on the attachment the attachment comes up picture stamp size but so does Picaso. I am unable to find a get information attached to the attachment at finder.

I am attaching multiple files from the same folder to different emails using gmail. I do not use any email programs on my iMac. Everything is virtual. I don't want to have go through all my file toggles to get to the folder I am working from every time, which is what I am doing.I want the computer to remember and default to that folder. How can I set this up?

As of yesterday my Mac will no longer send or receive emails that have attachments on them. It doesn't matter the size or format of the attachment, nothing happens. It shows as Sent but it doesn't get to the recipient and I can't receive either.
