Intel Mac :: Cannot Put In Full Screen Videos From Youtube On I5
Apr 14, 2012
I have this problem for a while, when trying to play videos on youtube or in facebook, I cannot put them on full screen, a white page appears, and some times they simple don´t play at all.
im having a problem, every time i go to youtube and certain websites and click full screen my menu bar on top doesnt auto hide idk if the new safari (latest version) or what is it is really annnoying i wonder if there is anything i could do to fix this either on youtube or safari idk. is it my os that is messed up or what is it,
I have a 15" MacBook Pro with a 20" ACD. Whenever I full screen view something, like say with VLC or even a web browser video, I lose functionality on the other screen. It never really bothered me until I realized I needed the multi-tasking. Is there anyway to keep functionality on either screen when the other is in fullscreen mode?
I think my kids messed up my YouTube settings. Was working fine yesterday. Now all I see is black screen and video does not load. I emptied cache and pop up blocker on, still nothing.
A couple days ago my mac book pro (with snow leopard) stopped allowing me to play videos. An embedded video in an article comes up as all black or missing altogether (a large white space in the article). If I go to YouTube, the "screen" is black.
when viewing some 720p HD YouTube videos in full screen mode. The video will start off fine, but then the video will start to develop an annoying audio lag after around 20 seconds (if the video has options for either 720p or 1080p, the 720p will lag and the 1080p will play fine). I know it isn't the video, because when it starts to lag, I can click on the progress bar to around where the video is currently at, and the video will refresh I guess, and the audio and video will be in sync again (for a little while at least).
Very new to iMac, been using Toshiba, Dell, Sony all this time. Usually I just go to [url]... to download youtube videos....but I can't seem to be able to do it now with this iMac....am I missing a plug in?
Two things: (1) I am unable to view YouTube videos, even those I posted previously and (2) videos friends email to me. Does this have anything to do with the recent malware affecting Macs? Do i need to update Java or disconnect it? Is this an Adobe Flash problem?
I have a new Mini, 2.0ghz, 4gb Mushkin RAM upgrade. When I try to stream video from YouTube at fullscreen on my 22" display it will play fine for about 10-15 seconds but will then lock up. If I do command option esc. for a Force quit, the video kicks back out of fullscreen to a regular web browser, and immediately continues from where it locked up just fine. This happens in both FF and Safari. Reboot does not solve the issue.
was wondering if when your watching a youtube video or anything that makes the nvidia 330m kick in do you experience a lag when hitting the full screen button? I have the graphics switcher/indicator program installed and whenever I go to full screen it goes from intel to nvidia and there is a good 1-2 second delay from clicking the button to going to full screen. If I force 330m to be on at all times the lag goes away. This seem normal? You would think Apple would have ironed out this kink. It makes my computer go from feeling snappy to slow when my netbook can full screen faster.
I am trying to watch videos on youtube with safari. When I play a video, it seems to lock everything up until the video is fully loaded. My internet speed on any other website watching any other videos is perfectly fine. Anyone have any ideas as to why Youtube videos are freezing and not functioning right when everything else is?
I just bought a new monitor to use as a secondary display with my MBP. I'm trying to watch a video in Firefox on my secondary display, when I try to watch the video in full screen and move back the mouse on my MBP display and click on that display. The video on my secondary display will exit full screen. How do I stop this from happening?
Brand new to mac book pro 2.66ghz from pc this week. Learning the ropes although slowly. I've been watching some tutorial online on different sites and I'm wondering why (it seemed to work at first) when I click to view in full screen mode the pointer stays on the screen. When watching a movie on dvd or full screen you tube video the pointer is supposed to disappear. Since I don't know my way around yet and what to look for I figured I'd throw it to the experts.
Just got my new Retina MacBook Pro... when I try to get videos to go full screen in anything (youtube, cnn, etc.) only the top left 1/4th displays the video, while the rest of the screen is left blank and turns white. Using google chrome canary. What can I do to make videos go full screen?
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
My iMac has suddenly just stopped playing the videos in YouTube. Up until today I have been watching them no problem, now every single one i have clicked on says 'This video is currently unavailable'. However I can watch them over the same wifi connection on my iPhone4 no problem. I havent downloaded any new software or been on any sites other than Facebook, so can't imagine whats up with it. Please help I've only has it 5 days.
Im new. I bought a new iMAC 27". Im wery satisfyed with it, but one problem has emerged.Suddenly over night it wont play any online videos. Ever since I upgraded to flash player "square" I am unable to view flash videos through safari in full screen. When I press the button to initiate full screen my screen turns black and I need to press the esc key to get back to the desktop.
I know this is a pretty elementary question, but this is my first time using a dual monitor setup. What I would like to do is be able to browse on one monitor while watching video files full screen on another monitor. Is this possible? If so what do I need to do to make it so the smaller monitor doesn't go black once I enter full screen on the larger monitor?
First time my iMac has been used connected to a wireless network. I note that youtube videos are impossible to watch - long download times, constant interruptions.
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
I just hooked up my macbook pro to an external monitor. Now, when I watch videos and what not, they will ONLY work in full screen. If I want to watch the video in a window, the sound will play but video does not. It may have something to do with Flash?
Just wondering if there is a way to have videos in iTunes play full screen on a secondary display. I know you can do it in Quicktime, VLC and eyeTV with terminal... but all my content is in iTunes..Can anyone help?I take it from this overwhelming responce that it is not possible to do??
