After my recent purchase of iWork '08, I have realized that I need a printer to print off my pages documents.
I am looking for a wireless printer as it will be downstairs with my iMac upstairs. Another capability that I would like my printer to have is CD and DVD printing so I can print onto DVDs that I make and burn on my iMac.
Where can I get this ridiculously over priced app for a decent price? (under $50) Anyone selling a used copy anywhere?
The reason I want it is because it's the only decent to do app for the iPhone, so I spent the $20. But now I gotta spend another $50-$80 just to sync it? Come on....
i am after a web cam for video blogs on my website and am using my girlfriends mac os x machine as my linux is not hooked to the net at the mo,whats a good cheepish web cam i can use on her mac?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to clone my 250gb HD over to a 1TB Western Digital 2.5 HD. I need to get an external USB harddrive enclosure, but most that I've seen say it has a 500GB capacity. Does anyone know of any cheap external enclosures that can get the job done? If so, can you provide a link?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI decided to get an Airport Extreme Mini PCI-E WiFi Card for my 2x3.2 Quad MP and after looking around for a while found several selling online for between $49.00-$89.00 which I thought is a little high for what after some research seams to be a pretty generic part. Unwilling to throw my money out the window I bought this part on eBay for a total of $20.00 including shipping: [URL] The card arrived today 9 days after the initial purchase. The installation took about 5 minutes and the card appears to be working perfectly. I'm unable to test the N protocol as my router does not support it but the Network Utility seams to recognize the card as supporting it.

Im looking for a PB G4 for my mom, i just need one that works and is super cheap. She has a sad lil dell that has win98 still and its borderline useless. All she needs it for is internet, typing, and various low key things. My friend has a G4 and it still works great, and i thought it would be nice not having to fix her dell when she gets yet another virus.

I'm looking to pick up a cheap mono laser printer with duplex and have narrowed the choice down to two. The Oki B410d and the Brother HL-5340D. They're both low-end with relatively similar price except the Oki is a LED printer and the Brother is a laser. With reliability the biggest issue here, has anyone had any experience with either brand or heard any stories?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI will be getting a new mac loaded with Leopard and I need an external hard drive. I am looking for a relatively cheap HD (sub 60 dollars) and has to be more than 200 GB.
Don't care whether it's firewire or usb just need something that works. Also if doesn't have time machine suppourt still list it because I am fine with just dragging and dropping files.
I'm going to do my first HDD swap with my unibody macbook. I was all set to use Time machine, but I'm hearing that CCCloner or SuperDuper are a better idea. So, could someone link me a good deal on an enclosure I can stick my new drive into? OR, would I be ok just cloning to a partition on my 1TB external WD drive, then installing the fresh HDD, then cloning from external WD to new internal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I've got an odd problem, here's the scenario: 27" iMac 2.8GHz Quad Core running OS X 10.7.1, and a netgear router (connected to a Comcast modem). It sees the network, connects then drops the network. However, a MacBook Air running 10.6.8, an iPad, and a Sony Viao running Windows 7 can connect and stay connected to the network fine. This made me think that something with the iMac's WiFi card is broken so we brought it to work and connected it to our network (802.11x, WPA2 Enterprise, Cisco routers) and it worked perfectly. He brought it back home, still couldn't connect to his network. We brought it to the campus Apple store and they replaced the airport card and it seemed to resolve the problem for a bit, but now the issue has come back.Yesterday we did a full time machine back up, wiped the hard drive and did a full OS X Lion re-install and restored from the Time Machine back up, ran all of the Apple software updates and it connected to the WiFi here at work fine.Brought it home, still won't connect to his network. This would make me think that it's an issue with his home network but all the other devices are working fine.We had a Comcast technician look at the network and they found nothing wrong.

This only started after I upgraded to Lion. I would swear I saw it in an update from Apple after that, too, but the iMac doesn't find any updates and is still doing it. When I wake the iMac, it doesn't go look for wifi. I have to click on the symbol and choose the network. Since I'm used to just clicking Safari.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an older (white) iMac that connects wirelessly to my Linksys router. I bought a new iMac and I am unable to connect both iMacs wirelessly at the same time. I was wondering if the issue had to do with using the same Apple ID's, but I don't think that is the case. It seems like the old iMac is connected to the router, the new one wont connect and vise versa.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a 2010 imac and it is very slow on wifi,i have done a side by side test with my macbook pro in the same room, the mbp gives me 45mb download speed while the imac gives 16mb . the only way i can get it faster is to unplug it from the mains,it will then be similar to the mbp,but will slowly get worse again over a few hours. i have tried all the solutions on the forums, the os is up to date.

I've seen this question asked before, but it was all related to people who are running lion. I have 10.5.8, which I believe is leopard. Whenever I try to connect to airport, I get my network from the list, enter the password then I get a connection timeout after about 15 seconds. We have had this problem for a while now. We just got a new router this week and I'm still have this problem.

The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting (all networks), although they continue to be available on my iPhone, Mac Book Air (OS X Lion 10.7.3) and another PC. I have to reselect the network manually in the shortcut (top right of the screen), a few seconds later I am connected again. The problems seems to be related to inactivety on the iMac. For example if you are reading some pages, without any key strokes or mouse activity, but there does not seem to be any specific time for repeatability of the problem. It is just anoying.
