I've recently switch from using opera to safari (opera was just too slow..) and I really missed my mouse gestures. Particularly the right click->left click for going back. Any ideas?

and is there a thing like firefox mouse gestures for Safari? i like the idea of just clicking my mouse en swipe to the left to get to the previous page, really missing this on Safari.
How do I disable the mouse gesture for spinning things in 10.5? I just upgraded and I hate this "feature". I use it all the time accidentally in Photoshop and it's driving me crazy.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNot totally clear on how objects are installed in OS X. I'm trying to download SIMBL so I can then get mouse gestures for Safari. I've downloaded and installed SIMBL and I've downloaded SafariGestures. SafariGestures comes in the form of a .bundle and the readme says I need to move the .bundle into my SIMBL plugin folder. Where would I find the SIMBL plugin folder? The readme suggests it should be /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins but I can't see it.

Today before I bought my Magic Mouse, I tested one out at the Apple Store. This mouse was able to switch tabs within Safari on the 21.5" iMac in store by swiping two fingers left/right.
Now that I got my mouse setup on my 13" MBP (10.6 SL), I can't figure out how to recreate Safari tab switching by swiping two fingers. Anyone know how to enable this?

Safari has the Zoom-In function, standart hotkey 'cmd+', and I want my mouse to do that by cmd+scrolling. I use the app 'SteerMouse' for making my mouse's special buttons work, but I couldn't find an option to combine a mouse action (i.e. 'scrolling') with a keyboard key (i.e. cmd).
Someone an Idea?
My first mac was a MB, and I just added a 27" iMac to my collection. However I'm addicted to the gestures on the MB trackpad.
Maybe this is a silly question, but my searching has failed to come up with an answer. Are there keyboard equivalents to the up/down/side swipe gestures? I get frustrated trying to get access to a clear desktop or list the open apps...the only equivalent I have is the F3 key.
Recently I started noticing that the three-finger swipe no longer works in Safari, nor does the zooming option with trackpad. Scrolling and clicking/tapping still works tho.
How to make the three-finger swipe and all that work again? I checked the trackpad section and everything is ticked (except for Dragging)..
I am a pretty new Mac user though I like the trackpad gestures. However two important gestures are missing in my opinion, close an application or window and create a new one, e.g. in Firefox new window apple + n and close window apple + w.
I want to have these shortcuts done with the trackpad gestures, I have read xGestures is a possibility, is this right? Are there any FREE alternatives. Can't be the case that I am one of the only few requesting such a feature.
To move pages up or down i have to use the up down arrows on keyboard or move pointer over scroll bar. I can't find anything in the trackpad sys. preferences

My magic mouse seems to lose focus in safari in the external display. When I click on a link in a page instead of opening the link in the current tab a new tab is opened to open the link. My current mouse settings are:
secondary click right
scroll with momentum
screen zoom
two finger swipe.
My mouse cursor is dissapearing from the screen nearly all the time, SUP apple, it just works, huh or nuh. Seems to have been a problem for a while

All jokes aside, I read in Snow leopard (perhaps incorrectly) that two finger and four finger gestures on the trackpad can be used, is there any program on Leopard (10.5.8) that enables these? Specifically it would be great if I could go back in my internet browser by swiping with two fingers.

At first, I really loved doing gestures on the trackpad.
Now, I find it a nightmare.
It is so easy to move my finger the wrong way and accidentally resize the page. I will be in the middle of surfing or even typing a message and if my finger is not completely curved, I will throw the trackpad into gesture mode and my screen goes into multiple resizes.
I found no way to turn the gestures off under PREFERENCES -> TRACKPAD.
I can't do tap to click or right clicking...Is there a way to enable this in Windows 7? I don't see any Boot Camp Preferences...
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my Macbook in February 2008, right after the revision (system profile says Model Identifier: Macbook 4,1) and I have the 2 finger multitouch scroll, but I had been reading that SL would enable all of the multitouch gestures for Macbooks that already supported at least the 2 finger gesture. Did this end up being a rumor that was proven wrong, or did something go south in my install? I just did the upgrade, but had been thinking about wiping everything out and doing a clean install.

I was just wondering if there is an application of OS X that allows non-multi-touch Macbooks to make your own gesture on your trackpad and assign them to a command of your choice. Ex. I want every time I make a circle on my trackpad for Expose to come up. I know that Multiclutch exists for Multi-touch Macs but is there an app for this on older Macs?
View 2 Replies View RelatedLion introduced several gigantic bugs when it comes to trackpad gestures. Go to System Preferences>Trackpad>More Gestures, and look at the options for "Swipe between pages":BUG
#1: If you choose "Scroll left or right with 2 fingers", this only works in Safari to go back/forward, but it no longer works in other apps like the Finder.
BUG #2: If you choose "Swipe with 2 or 3 fingers", you can use 3 fingers in all apps but not 2 fingers.
BUG #3: If you choose "Swipe with 2 or 3 fingers", you can go back a page in Safari using 3 fingers, but you don't get the animation of going back like you do when you use 2 fingers.
Apple needs to make all of these options consistent across the board, so that you can always use 2 or 3 fingers, and that it works in all apps, and that you always get the animations.

Suddenly, gestures stopped working. I have no clue why. Rebooting seems to have cleared the problem, but could this be a signal of a deeper problem? hardware failure? softtware corruption..maybe a setting somehwere?

Hi All just discovered the pinch multi touch move works on my 1.67 g4 powerbook in google maps, was mutltouch enabled for all laptops on last leopard update? Well my old machine is mirroring my iphone - how weird. Wasn't sure if this was known, disregard if its just me catching up on this.
